DESCRIPTION

The standard New Star League ground transport is a concession to the dangerous and aggressive nature of internal NSL conflicts. The vehicle is able to act as a light armored unit, a troop transport, or a forward drone control center. A single pilot's cockpit has internal space behind the pilot for up to four passengers, heavy troopers, ground drones, or drone pilots.

Armed with two twin artillery grade flak cannons, each mounted on a telescoping strut, the groundwalker can lay down multiple fields of fire, while backing that up with blasts from its overhead ion cannon. Its lack of speed and maneuverability are a concern as it is not blessed with excessive protection, but it can bring to bear a great load of firepower and provide armoured transport.

If carrying drone pilots, the vehicle can act as a drone controller, either coordinating with a command ship, or providing a local battlefield backup if links are disrupted. Up to four drones can be linked with the vehicle's rear command section. The vehicle possesses a smoke generator as well as a store of stun and lethal gases, each of which can be deployed through vents across the walker. This is useful for close range defense agains infantry, or for concealing the vehicle from long range observation, and the lethal artillery strikes.

This is not an acceptable Mecha.

One of the key definitions of it fitting into Star Wars, is the arms. Marauders, one I have very well known in playing Battletech, have jointed arms and act as such. If you want to see odd things, go look up Marauder gifs, one will be it pummeling another mech haymaker style.

In Star Wars, there is almost virtually no mecha that has useable arms such as this and certainly not close to the category presented here. It is not accepted and cannot be used. A mecha in Star Wars has to be nearly no arms or armed at the shoulders itself, much like a AT-ST, AT-PT, or even a AT-XT in some circumstances.

With that and with talk with other members of the Factory Team, we are denying this submission.
