It had been a scant few moments since the meeting had adjourned - though she was sure that the deliberations would take some time. What she had planned was something that she had meant to do for some time since the original declaration though, between the moving of the capital and multiple invasions, it had been a difficult task to accomplish. The time that was needed to fully enact it had been hard to come by until more recently, and what better time - be it now or never - than to have the meeting? With a soft smile upon her lips, she stood silently for a moment - peering into a mirror as she carefully ran her hands along the burgundy colored coat, straightening it out and giving it a slight tug to ensure that the fit was immaculate and caused no problems. Lifting her arms up, she gently tugged at the cuffs, making sure that they sat flush with her wrist and didn't fall or rise when she moved her arms before she nodded to herself - pleased with her appearance before she stepped out into the larger office that wait beyond.

Golden-yellow hues slowly peered around the office, making sure that everything was in its proper place - even going so far as to approach the handful of paintings that lined the walls and ensuring that not a single one had been moved or was mounted in a crooked position. With that settled, and the woman pleased, she nodded to herself while moving towards the large desk that was tucked away at the far end. There were a few trappings that she had brought into the office to make it feel more like home - having already spent a couple of nights on a bed that was tucked away in the corner behind a large privacy screen. While others often went home - she found herself staying in the office more often than not - though, then again, she didn't really have any family that she was going home to or to otherwise occupy her time outside of the office.

For the most part, her family was the Confederate Navy, specifically those that served under her and had stood by her side during such trying times as the invasion of Ryloth and Rodia. Those were still moments that affected her - even now - months after the fact. It seemed that even those planets were just barely returning to a semi-state of normalness, having once more found themselves within the territory of the Confederacy. Still, the sheer fact that a group such as the Agents of Chaos managed to succeed was jarring - and called to attention the need for greater security. And now, with the Minister of War having resigned and stepped away due to their own reasons and a subsequent meeting to interview a replacement for the position - it seemed that things were being shaken up. That wasn't even mentioning the recent collapse of the Outer Planets Alliance - with new campaigns turning the Confederacy's attention into those former holdings in a bid to secure and bring order back to a region that was now thriving with bandits, pirates, and all manner of petty warlords.

Still - that was not the reason for this meeting - no, it was for something else. She hadn't planned on making any further case for the Minister of War, having already said her part in that meeting. Nor was she attempting to ingratiate herself with the Exarch, as that was not her way. Rather, this was a congratulatory drink - a means to acknowledge the Exarch's position - which was something she hadn't had a chance to do since he had achieved the position. Taking a quick moment to look over the last few documents of paperwork that she had managed to catch up with again - though sure that more would be waiting for her in the morning - once signed, they were quickly filed away before she looked up, a soft smile upon her lips.

"Welcome Exarch Malvern - It's a pleasure."

Amelia spoke as she carefully removed herself from where she had been sitting behind the large desk. As she slipped around towards the sitting area - decorated with two large Rancor-Leather chairs before a roaring fireplace - she motioned with a hand to offer him one of the two seats. Though she would not take a seat just yet as she approached a large bookshelf that sat to the side of the fireplace. With a slight bit of pressure upon one of the books, the shelf itself carefully spun out, revealing a large drinking cabinet that had been installed behind it - a myriad of drinks resting in the cabinet. She was lucky that not many knew of the cabinet - sure that it would have been decimated had others known or managed to get into her office. Pulling two drinking vessels free of where they had been mounted within the cabinet, she sat one down for her guest and one for herself.

Holding back her own propensity to fill her drinking vessel with the Sanguine Ichor that sat within one of the many decanters in the cabinet, she patiently waited before motioning towards the selection of drinks. It would have otherwise been rather rude for her to pour her drink first before seeing to her guest. It seemed - oddly enough - that the decanters in question held any number of common and otherwise exotic drinks for the drinker of a discerning taste.

"Might I offer you a drink?"
