Now I don't care what the weatherman says...

Xiuhtecutli.

Such a different world. A neighbor to the Tion cluster, Marek was making a trip out here. He needed time away, and time to learn a few things. The natives of Xion, the Toavan seemed to be the people he wanted to surround himself with. While he was running Bright Star, he was working with the members of Haor Chall, under the direction of Santhe Corp, to work on alternative energy means, as well as work with mining operations.

He knew there was no mining on Xion, but working with the varied environment? He had his family's holocron. And he knew what was going to happen. It would change the way he worked with the Force, and push him fully into an Alter-based Force user. Nothing with Sense, or Control. That was the way a Starchaser worked, they focused on one side of the Force.

Walking the world, he was getting a feel for what was going on. He had his orange lightsaber, and was in light spacer gear. Simple, and not looking or shaped up for a fight. Marek was relaxed, he wasn't expecting conflict here, and was even willing to work with the Toavan if they needed assistance, and to see what Tion could do for them.

But first? He had some training to do here. Walking, he was letting the Force guide him. He found himself on a cliff, a waterfall and overlooking the canopy of the jungle, a small Toavan settlement nearby. Reaching out, Marek could feel the oncoming storm. The locals preferred the Sun. He could make that happen. He had the holocron out on his flight over here, it was nearby, he was going to learn this. He knew it.

The rain was coming, he could feel it. Marek was a master of Telekinesis, and that, for him, was feeling the way things moved. Sure, he wasn't a Master of the sense side of the Force, like the resurfaced Coren had the potential to be (according to the holocron he carried), but feeling the interaction between particles? That was something. The friction, the electricity, the heat. That was all part of the way things physically moved. And knowing that? That was a step in the right direction for what he was hoping to learn here.

Know the way things work, and you can replicate it. That was what he was understanding from the holocron. To recognize the way things moved, the way particles were charged. It could go from being part of the Force, to being the way a lightsaber is assembled, and what is necessary to dislodged the crystal, or how to shatter a molar in an enemy, and break a bone with a glance. This? This that he was learning was using the telekinesis on a macro-scale, more than moving bullets in flight.

He wasn't a combatant, that was true, so learning something to change the whole field of battle?

That was going to be useful.

Feeling the clouds moving ahead and above him, he could feel the air getting cooler, the sun being blocked.

And that was not going to go over well with the Toavan. They could be useful allies, if he could work on getting their mercenaries working for the Tion Cluster. That meant he needed to impress them...

Taking a deep breath, he was reaching out with the Force, feeling the temperature change, the electricity in the clouds, the moisture...

He knew there were more parts of the environment to modify than just the weather. He could move the earth, shift the tectonics, creature fissures and landslides. Sure, that was all telekinesis, but to start the action so it took a life of its own? If he could move the elements, the material in the proper way? Then everything would work on its own. He could create fissures, and make the earth quake below his enemies.

He could create a storm, a hurricane, a tornado, and let it run its course. He could control it, and call down the lightning, create the rain, turn it to hail.

Hell, create electric rain (patent pending) and fire winds. The heat and cold, that was something he'd been working on for years. And this training in alter environment? Since the rapture that occurred. Now was a time to put it to use.

That was when the rain started. He could feel the cool rain, and it was refreshing against the heat from the sun. Smirking to himself, as no one was around, he reached out. Seeing the village ahead, he was going to divert the storm, work it around the village, not to let their power go out. He took a deep breath in. And as he exhaled, reached for the clouds, metaphysically speaking, and hit their path with a change in temperature, moving them around the village, the rain falling on him, and in a circle.

That was what he was learning.

Step two?

Making the weather do what he wanted.

Controlling the battlefield. That was what he needed to do. He could send mercenaries, the Whiteguard, the Blackguard and a variety of pilots and agents to do his bidding, unless it really needed his presence, he was going to stand back and watch the water from a distance. He was a businessman, and not a combatant. Marek allowed others, really well paid others, to do his work. Who said credits didn't buy loyalty? When you rolled with Tion? Or Abrion? Yeah, money wasn't an option.

Feeling the clouds split, he nodded as he watched. Watched and concentrated, the sun was still shining on the power. And that meant that Marek was in charge of the system. He was organizing the weather, the temperature, the moisture, the winds, the fronts. He could do what he wanted. And that was when he lightning began. The natural lightning from his tampering with the temperature.

This was lightning, no different than the lightning he could throw from his hand, should he decide to. Hearing it crack, he grinned, a dark grin.

Directing the lightning, he allowed it to strike a tree. Once, twice and three times in succession. Fire was starting in the trees. That was what he wanted. He could make the lightning work. Another one, two, three, and the trees on a small spit-island in the river were lit up. Reaching out, he could feel the heat, the particles moving so quickly.

That was step three.

The fire was his. He could move the particles, control the air, and the wind. The cool air created by the rain and the warm air created by the fire was perfect for his needs. It was able to provide him a front to move the clouds, to keep them from blocking the sun out over the village. And he was able to move the fire with the air as well. That was what he needed. He could fill the air with fire, and expand the fire.

Expanding the fire was all he was thinking on, sparking the movement of the particles, and creating heat. Heat ignited the oxygen and the fire burned more. Marek made the wind move, and that was expanding the fire. Between that and the lightning, he knew he was working the weather how he wanted.

Using this against someone like the Silvers? While the Tion Hegemony worked their military magic to bring down the hippies? Or when Abrion was defending itself from pirates? Marek was going to be very useful in the upcoming months of piecing this galaxy together again.

He was reaching out to the village. He could feel the awe. Not quite admiration, but the thoughts of confusion and surprise at the way the storm was behaving. It wasn’t just creating a storm system, it was controlling a natural process. Marek knew he could create lightning and change the temperature. That was what he knew how to do with the Force. He could make a small storm, but controlling a larger system? Getting it to do what he wanted? That was requiring large amounts of concentration and Force reserves. Sure, he wouldn’t ever be a full combatant, but with the Whiteguard watching his back? He would be fine to use this in the field.

For Tion, and her allies. Feeling the darkness coming at him, he was losing the connection to the world, he seriously was not ready for this type of concentration, especially not when he was focusing the rain on the fires he created. If he was going to be in control, he was going to be in control.

And that was why he was letting his emotions rage. His desire to control, his need to protect, and rage, rage about his homeworld, and the existence of certain factions in the galaxy. He didn’t know what happened next, all he could hear was the sound of rain and then the darkness that followed.

Right, handling this. He could feel shade on his face. He was starting to wake up Still on the ground, not much time had passed, based on local cycle and the way the sun had moved. But there were shadows crossing his eyes and he was surrounded. He could feel the beings around him. The Toavan. That was either good... or bad. And right now? He wasn't feeling threatened, his danger sense wasn't going off. Not that it was working all that well since he fell into an Alter-heavy lifestyle. Not that he was a huge Force user, and it was why he was learning Alter Weather.

He could sit back and get the weather to the liking of his team. And apparently he could use this to help the others. Having brushed up a little on the Toavan language, he was hearing them. This is the one. Controlling the clouds. Bringing the sun. Not so religious anymore, but he could spin this, he supposed.

"You see what I can do. Now, I need you to help me out."

He reached out in the Force, moving the clouds away from the path of sunlight to the solar panels.

Just keep moving forward.

The voices were murmuring, but they seemed in agreement. He could work this out. Make the deal. He loved having the Hegemonic Automaton (all rights reserved, please contact [member="Gerion Ardik"] with questions) droids running security. But his own team of aztec warrior assassins? That would be very useful. Especially to give cover to the exploration units he had scouring the galaxy to assist his liners.

This was only secondary. He was here for the Force training. And seeing that they were excited about this, he grinned.

If he could get [member="Sasha Santhe"] to buy him a moon, he could make the weather do whatever he wanted. Sure, he was technically a Master with the Obsidian Order, and part of Tion's inner circle, but he also knew his Force skills were very lax compared to most of the superheroes running around the galaxy. He still needed a bit of flash, but his reserves were draining fast. He could tell right now, his grasp on the clouds was fading, but a strong wind, that was Telekinesis, in a way, simple for him.

He knew what he was doing here, and the Toavan were watching.

And with the clouds moving, the sun coming out further, he nodded. The village here was fine, and he knew what he needed to do. Star Wars Red Bull and power bars. That would be what he needed to get his abilities charged so that he could deal longer, and even compete against another Force user. But who was using Alter Weather in the galaxy? He wasn't sure he knew. A warm breeze picked up. That felt good, even if it wasn't his doing, but it was coming from where the clouds were, and it was enough for the Toavan to accept it as him.

"So, lets talk about business then?"

A bit stronger in a Force power and a species that he might be able to call upon anytime he needed? That was smart. A good move for Marek Starchaser.
