Public November's Character of the Month - Nominations

Hey all!

It's that time of the month again where I wonder where the time has gone and panic since it is the end of the month and there is so much I still have left to do. Also it is time for another character to join our esteemed list of winners Lodd Grimmin Lodd Grimmin , Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen , Darth Malum of House Marr Darth Malum of House Marr , Corazona von Ascania Corazona von Ascania , Jenn Kryze Jenn Kryze and Darth Caedes Darth Caedes !

I am very excited to see all the threads and nominations! Hopefully everyone had a great November!

Here are the rules:

  • Nominate a character that is not of your writing that has impressed you in the last month.
  • Give the reasons why.
    • Please include thread links for others to see why you love the character so much.
  • You may nominate someone that has already been nominated, they will be listed once in the voting stage and the reasons combined into one.
  • This is for In Character stuff.
  • During the nomination step, you must ask the winner a question for your nomination to count. Yes, that means in this thread, along with the nomination also put a question for the eventual winner, ya scamp.
  • During the voting, please limit yourselves to one vote.
  • Character must have been active in the last month to qualify, would be great if you would keep it to the last months exploits too.
  • Characters can only win once.
  • Please do not nominate Staff.
  • One week to nominate. Approximately.

* Character may not reign as Character of the Month for an exact month. You will live.

Here are the receipts.

Thank you so much for running this contest WelshPsych WelshPsych !

I would like to Naami-nate the excellent Micah tol Powl Micah tol Powl for character of the month. They hit to scene at the sith academy scene a couple months back (approximately) and have just blown my mind since. They are kind, helpful and an absolute hoot. Rarely have I been moved to laughing out loud and deep emotions in the span of reading a single post but that has suddenly become a regular experience in writing with Micah. Not only are they lovely to thread with but they knock it out of the park with awesome, lore rich, creative and often very witty factory submissions.

The evidence for consideration:

  • To say that his factory subs are incredible is an understatement, so I will elaborate to say they are also very thoughtful in the way they are made accessible to others and/or are great reference material for others who write anywhere in the same general vicinity! When we crashed right out the gate in our race thread, Micah rolled with it and referenced a speeder our hapless students destroyed. It was not only hilarious but offered fun immersion as well
  • Micah has also shown much consideration to the stories that others want to write. Even though the cat has no aspirations to be a pilot himself, he created a vehicle that his friend can get much needed practice driving with and enjoy speeding around the city with between lessons or other adventures.
  • Micah's characterization in general is just such a treat- excellent exploration of non-human species body language/psyche, very believable tone for a character of his age, and despite their near constant witticism in writing him, Micah also has a range of emotions that have already made him come alive so fully in my minds eye. See this for cathar cuteness, more cathar body language, and an incredible intro post that I think sums up most of the praises I've been singing here.
Question:
What do you think came first, the porg or the egg?

Welp, I guess that's that. Naamino Zuukamano Naamino Zuukamano and Micah tol Powl Micah tol Powl were both the folks I thought to nominate myself. Both are sheer forces of uplifting positivity, both are dedicated storytellers, and both are constantly making the people around them laugh. For what it's worth, it's been really sweet watching the two of you ramp up each other's hype and each other's muse.

While Naamino Zuukamano Naamino Zuukamano and Micah tol Powl Micah tol Powl have been amazing to thread with and are wonderful people!
I have to throw my nomination out to Roman Vossari Roman Vossari

The character is wonderful, my first introduction to RP period came from his writer.

I've had multiple private threads with him, and have developed an actual OOC friendship with his writer as well

He's such a descriptive writer and a very giving writing partner, constantly on the top posters board and is overall just a great dude.

The character himself is very noble and I've loved the philosophical conversations him and Reign have had, Reign has taken a mentor like role to the young Jedi and views the Padawan as his own son.

Among the many wonderful writers, I feel like he deserves the spotlight, even though he tries to stay out of it.

Thread:

Warriors of the Plains - Reign finds Roman after the battle of Tython, and helps him hone his hand to hand combat skills.
The Shadows of Vaal - A chance encounter on the planet Vaal (this one is a little old but pleease)

Not to mention his action in the battle of Tython, and his threads with Anneliese Kaohal Anneliese Kaohal warm my heart

Question: what’s your favorite part of the RP?
