The Nova Defense Force is a small Private Military Company made up of former 5th Legion Soldiers and Galactic Alliance Troopers.
The Security company is not an overly large one and it's membership barely extends past that of a small military division, but each and every one of it's soldiers are experienced veterans of several wars. Most of the company is made up of former soldiers of the 5th Legion, and thereby men and women who had once served Imperials or Sith. Generally people within the Nova Defense Force are good and kind, people that wish to make up for past wrongs and right things they had done under the commands of those who would have killed them otherwise.
The Nova Defense Force is an organization that fights for good, refusing contracts from entities that it deems 'evil' or unjust.
Though only recently brought into existence, the Nova Defense Force has an incredibly reputation for being stalwart and earnest, holding to a contract no matter what counter-offer is presented or what threats are made. The NDF seeks to work with it's clients and ensure that both sides leave the contract happy. Though often taking on jobs that are 'too big' for them, the NDF has a way of coming out on top.
Unlike many other Private Military Companies the NDF gladly takes contracts from smaller organizations around the galaxy, often leading to them fighting enemies that are much larger than themselves.
Despite this however the men and women of the NDF are more than happy with their work. Additionally, their reputation for honesty and honor means many corporations are willing to deal with them and even supply them in their times of need.
Though the Nova Defense Force is hardly the largest Private Military Companies, it is one that finds itself quickly growing.
RATIONALE
The Nova Defense Force was founded by Jorg Tierel.
The Corporation got it's start as many Private Military Companies do, with veterans of the former Galactic Alliance attempting to find a fitting home outside of their former environment but ranging within their skill.
The company was truly founded because of a realization by Jorg Tierel. The Major, having served within one military or another for more than half of his life came to a deeper understanding of himself after a vacation spent with one [member="Joza Perl"]. This realization was a rather simple one, the old soldier recognizing that he'd spent most of his life within the service of causes that he did not necessarily support.
It was this realization that lead to his resignation from the 5th Legion and the Galactic Alliance. Though he did not necessarily dislike or even abhor the Alliance itself, Jorg realized that he would never truly be happy until he managed to serve himself. Thus he founded the Nova Defense Force, a company where he and he alone could pick and choose whom and what he would defend.
Though initially meant as only a small security force, The NDF quickly grew as many Veterans flocked to what they perceived as moral, and 'good' Private Military Company.
