Nothing To Lose Your Head Over

Yaemi sat at the desk, rubbing her temples. Or rather, rubbing the sides of her helmet as she stared at the diagram she'd been working on for the last hour. The idea she was running on was simple enough, in theory. A bipedal droid chassis, with a detachable and weaponized head slot. It sounded easy enough in theory, until one looked deeper into the problem. Packing enough armor, weaponry, power and cooling systems into one unit wasn't a problem. Keeping the size down so it didn't become a glaring target was.

For now, she was trying to keep the design specs to about the size of a standard human head, which wasn't too hard to do. Most droids tended to average about there, with some variety in shape and form. But then again, most droids didn't also feature weaponry, locomotive and power systems in the skull itself. She gave a slight groan, staring down at the design specs in front of her. If she had the right materials, this would be a cake walk. Designing a singular unit to function as intended as easily possible, making it plausible for mass production however was turning into more of a challenge.

"Maybe...if there were separate power sources...so the head isn't powering all of it...." She mumbled out loud.

If she had the ability to do so through her helmet, she'd be chewing on the end of her pen right now. A lot was being asked of this design, and Yaemi knew it was possible. -Anything- was possible, given enough detail and work.

So why did her present problem seem so insurmountable?
