Thousands of years ago the Mandalorians enacted their Crusades, beginning the Mandalorian Wars in which they would plague the Galaxy and consume all that found itself within their path. Ultimately, however, they were defeated. Yet they rose to power again, and again, and again only to be destroyed over, and over, and over again. This was because Mandalorians are an idea, they are a concept. You cannot kill an idea for once it blossoms within one's mind it can bloom within another's. It was now that the Mandalorian Empire took to the Galaxy once more, emerging as a true threat against all that dared stand in defiance whilst those that sat idly found themselves just as susceptible to their barbaric ways.

The Sovereignty was a newfound power that had earned it's name upon the Galactic Map, their presence in Wild Space was unmatched as they secured themselves in their own corner of the Galaxy. The Mandalorians had no official or non-official opinion or stance on The Sovereignty, and in fact hadn't mentioned them at all. Though that wasn't to say the Sovereign himself should not remain ever vigilant against an impending attack that may or may not come. A leader such as Ice wouldn't risk his people's lives on mere chance. That much was certain. In an attempt to gain much needed clarity he sought a meeting with an associate, and a Mandalorian himself, if he could truly be called that.

Koda Fett, an infamous Bounty Hunter who had earned the reputation of being that lucrative business' very best. Though that wasn't his only title, no. Fett found the position of Clan Leader thrust upon him, much like Colonel. He was a rising star, so to speak. Yet he attributed these feats to his pseudo celebrity status. A Corsair for The Sovereignty, more importantly at this current time. The talks between both Ice and Fett weren't sanctioned by the Mandalorian Empire, they were that of an individual's willingness to remain profitable. After all, he was just a Bounty Hunter...

What an odd time this had turned out to be. Waiting in one of the meeting rooms in the upper areas of the Citadel, Varik sat at a table and began to simply ponder. He'd had good reason to summon one of their most successful Corsairs, and he made sure there were attendants to guide him here. Even with all of that assurance, he couldn't help but feel somewhat unsure, unsafe. Perhaps that was because of what they were discussing.

In a way, he respected Mandalorians highly, and found their way of life one he could relate to. At least, some Mandalorians. The ideal that your actions and accomplishments define who you are, rather than any previous creed or lifestyle you led, who your mother or father was or what planet you hailed from. To him, it didn't matter if a man or woman who wanted to be a Sovereign citizen came from Serenno or Sullust, they all had the right to earn it.

[member="Koda Fett"] was someone he had wanted to speak to in particular. He wanted an honest answer, and he knew Fett would give him one; they'd worked together now and then while he served the Empire and they paid Fett his credits, just as the Sovereignty did for him now. He'd heard of Koda's promotions and quick ascension in the Mandalorian hierarchy thanks to his skill in combat through more unofficial channels, but now he wanted to hear things from his mouth. He had no doubt Fett saw this as simply something to keep things amicable and profitable between them, and that was fine by him.

In time the Mandalorian found his way into the Citadel's meeting room, the very one in which the Sovereign had waited within. Neither of the men were inherently diplomats, and that wasn't their only similarity. Both of which had lost everything they knew, thrust into a new world, and perhaps more. It just goes to show the type of men they were, however, for Ice went on to do something greater - form an alliance that would prosper within the Outer Rim and Wild Space, whilst Fett gained notoriety for capturing and killing people all across the Galaxy.

The Bounty Hunter offered no respectful bow or other royal pleasantries the Sovereign may have become accustomed too. Although it wasn't as if he had truly expected anything of the like from a mere Bounty Hunter. His Carbine slung over his shoulder as eyes void of any true expression looked ahead at the man in front of him. "Go ahead, then." He wasted no time in his attempt to get things underway.
