Outer Rim

Utapau

Nerith City

Brumvir Main Office

A door opens into an antechamber. A tall lanky Pau'an wearing a navy blue trench coat, dark grey cargo pants, & black boots walks in greeted by 3 security agents & a IG-86 Sentinel droid.

One of the security agents activates a data pad. "First & last name?" , "Zerrum Raken."
The agent scrolls through the ledger a bit before looking up. "Welcome sir, the boss is in an important meeting, be sure not to interrupt."
Another agent opens the rear doors. Zerrum walks into a massive room filled with rare art pieces, handmade furniture, a diner sized bar, & a giant window looking out into the sinkhole city.

Zerrum see's Suro, Founder of Brumvir, sitting at a conference table with 7 holoprojectors of the other Sugi Dons. He walks over to the window looking out over the city. This was nearly the closest spot to the planets surface on Nerith.

The Dons discussed recent events & info they received from contacts near the Enarc run. Apparently a well funded group was attempting to establish a new hyper-route. Already someone is making moves to control that region. With black market demand for contraband on the rise in the area this could be the opportunity of a lifetime if indeed that route is successful. Unfortunately, some of the Dons have come to such a level of opulence that they had lost their hunger, others were unwilling to take the risk. Between the Naboo republic & various unknowns most voted to wait until the hyper-route was fully established. In the end Suro & his crew were on their own.

As soon as the holoprojecters switched off Suro slammed his fists on the table nearly breaking it with his power suit. "Those silver spoon Kriffers have never had to work for a fraking thing in their lives, those spineless crinkers were just handed their daddy's business, you now how long & hard we had to fight to carve out something among the Hutts, Pikes, Blacksun. None of them could survive out here in the Rim."

Zerrum cautiously sat down across from Suro. After a couple deep breaths Suro addresses Zerrum. "Alright Zee, I need you on this one, this is going to be our biggest move yet."

Zerrum leans back in he's seat. "Pau on steroids" , "& then some, I sending my nephew & his entourage with you to negotiate deals while you set up shop" , "If I may, I'd like to have Nerlan & his crew with me" , "I like Nerlan & all but he's got that junkie brother of his" , "They're still a good crew, & I wouldn't want anyone else watching my back if things go sideways" , "Yea alright, just make sure that junkie doesn't mess things up, even if that means helping him finish with all his living"

Zerrum nods his head acknowledging the seriousness of Suro's statement. Suro stands up & activates a holoprojector in the middle of the table of a planet. "This is where we'll start, Svivren, its at the tail end of this new hyper-route, initially you will fulfill a weapons order from Tyhnir, we don't know much about him but I suspect he works for whoever is trying to control that route. I'm sending a greeting gift with you in case you meet his boss, let them know we are there in good will & that we can be a great asset to them. Also make sure we collect some data on them, I like to know who I'm working with." , "Understood" , "Get whatever you need & be back here tomorrow at 0700 to go through the plan with the crew."

Raedon Averlon

screaming on the inside

The hangar bay was already awake by the time Raedon arrived. Not that he was in a rush. He didn’t do rush jobs anymore. Not unless the price was good, and this one barely paid enough to top off the tanks. Still—fuel was fuel. He needed it.

He stood near the wall, arms folded across his chest, half-shadowed in the industrial orange gloom bleeding through the slats in the upper blast doors. Blue skin dull under the light, white hair slicked back, eyes hidden behind low-lidded disinterest. Nothing about him asked for conversation.

Two others had shown already. One was loud, trying too hard. A long coat with a blaster slung sideways, throwing glances like he wanted someone to ask about the last crew he ran with. The other—quieter, twitchier. Kept checking their chrono like it owed them something. Nervous hands. Probably the kind that gets you killed first.

Raedon didn't speak. He watched.

Not for strategy. Not anymore. He just liked to know which way the wind would shift when it inevitably did.

His boots were scuffed, coat still dusty from the long walk from the pad. Ship hadn’t moved in two weeks. It wouldn’t move again unless this job went through. He could feel the pause in the air—the quiet before someone with too much ego walked in and started barking like they owned the system.

Fine. Let them bark. He just needed the pay.

And if they got themselves killed before the first jump?

...Less credits to split.

Night Before

Zerrum stood a few minutes on the other side of the tunnel from a Bar & cafe. He spotted his older sister & two younger brothers occasionally from the windows. He hadn't talked to them since his falling out with their parents some years ago. They appreciated him helping get them out of poverty, but couldn't stand his career choice afterwards. Maybe one day they will understand just how the galaxy really works. He spent the rest of the evening in his condo prepping & triple checking everything. Cyber arm was at optimal performance, Cyber leg compartments were clean & very well hidden. His 3 prowler 1000 droids were good to go, his astromech R5-K3 was a bit of a pain but would do its job well, & backup data pad & scrambler were ready.

As he packed he stopped a second to look at his Brumvir id. Noran Glebet, from the time he woke up tomorrow to the time he got back, this is who he will be. The last thing he packed was Noran's clothes, a loose long sleeve pin striped olive green tunic with an upturned collar reaching halfway up his cheeks, Dark Blue loose fitting pants & brown Boots.

Sleep was surprisingly steady, this was his biggest job to date but he knew his equipment inside & out. If he needed to improvise he could, however what the boss said about Krithos, Nerlans brother. Sure he had taken a guy or 2 out but that was all out of self defense, never someone he actually knew. Hopefully he wouldn't have to cross that bridge.

Early Morning

Noran put on his cobalt blue Brumvir uniform with the silver insignia, silver trimmings, utility belt, Brumvir issued blaster pistol, & tan boots. Grabbing his rucksack he headed straight for the Nerith spaceport with his 4 droids in tow.

The subterranean spaceport was already alive with various people offering their services & selling their wares. Over half of it was reserved for Brumvir operations. He spotted several employees loading 4 Wayfarer cargo ships with various goods & crates for sale, trade, & bargains. Noran went aboard the 3rd ship, picked out a room to drop off his bag & droids, & then went to help load the rest of the cargo. The official manifest included E-7 E-Wing star fighter kits, Cigarra's, Salts, Ore's, Mineral's, Medical supplies, Farming chemicals, sanitation chemicals, and other house hold products. Once the cargo was loaded he started some small talk with some Utai's prepping 2 of the latest Porax P-38 Heavy star fighters. Apparently this was the first variant to introduce a flex ordinance launcher to its armament.

As he talked he noticed the hired guns starting to arrive. The one he spotted quickly started being loud & obnoxious, another one was real nervous like. Interesting Noran thought to himself, the boss is going love having a junkie & twitchy trigger on this deal. He spotted a blue alien with white hair walking near the wall when he heard his name called out behind him.

"Hey Noran", Noran turned around to be greeted by 2 Kyuzo, a Zygerrian, & a very muscular Houk. "Nerlan, its been awhile" , "Yea, I'm surprised Suro called considering the way that bank heist went" , "We got the job done in the end, that's what matters" , "Yea, so this jobs pretty big" , "Damn straight it is, let me talk to you in private".

Noran spoke up once they got a little distance from the group. "Is Krithos clean?" , "He's doing good, why are you asking?" , "I don't mean any disrespect, Suro's tense about this job, he wants this real bad, & will eliminate anything he thinks will get in the way, so if there is any doubt maybe Krithos should sit this one out" , "Look I appreciate the concern, but he's good, he has a few smokes here & there but he's kicked the hard stuff a few months ago" , "Good to hear, I got more work I need you guys on once we get there that Suro is going to pay extra for on top of the smuggling & security" , "Now we're talking".

Conversation got cut off as Suro & his entourage showed up. Among his usually crew were 5 Sugi's without power armor, 4 Ig-86's, & 5 armored Amani's carrying spears.

Suro eyed Krithos a brief moment before he spoke. "Thank you all for coming on such short notice, as many of you are probably aware a new hyper-route is being built, & already competition is getting heated. You will be fulling a gun order on Svivren. The product is well hidden on the ship so if the law searches the cargo don't worry they won't find anything. Now before I get into the details I want to make something clear. My employees are like family to me, so you watch out for them & I'll watch out for you, so your primary job is protecting them & the cargo".

"Alright, once you get there you will head first to Wrils the capital." Suro motioned to his nephew who walked up next to him. "Kenth here will go & sell as much of the legit products as possible. During that time the contact will make themselves known & will arrange pick up. After that, those of you that want to go ahead & collect your credits, be sure to be on the first empty Wayfarer heading back. If anyone wants a bigger pay day there are a few things you can do for me. Get any info you can on any cops, politicians, & big business owners, & take out any Nav Buoys from competing planets nearby. Also, if anyone is willing to fly their own ship to help the P-38's escort the wayfarers, you will have a crate of death sticks with your name on it. Call me old school but I don't deal in that crink, the little gang that tried that here in Nerith learned that the hard way".

"Almost forgot, if you want to collect on some bounties while you're out there we will transport your catch for free back to Nerith. & Now lets get to work."

Kenth & his little gang got on the 1st Wayfarer guarded by a IG-86 & 2 Amani's. Noran followed by Nerlan & crew headed for the 3rd one.

Once everyone was aboard several ceiling bay doors opened. Oncethe Wayfarers & escort were in orbit they jumped to hyper-space.
