The Mud Duck drifted in the black, its aging hull groaning softly as if the ship itself was holding its breath. Alone in the cockpit, Okuma Milogen Okuma Milogen sat in silence until the proximity sensors broke it with a sharp, chirping pulse. One vector appeared. Then another, blinking in quick succession across the nav display.

Ships were dropping out of hyperspace.

The sensors stuttered through their automated checks, painting ghostly wire frame outlines of the newcomers. Too distant for a clear read, too close for comfort.

Through the view port, the only landmark was the Gloam Spoke Relay. Its signal array still burned with weak, erratic light, casting the decrepit station in an eerie silhouette. Parts of its hull looked like snapped bones suspended in space, antennae sagging, girders cracked and frozen in the vacuum. Sections of the relay flickered with dying illumination. And yet… it wasn't dark. Someone, something, kept power flowing, even if barely.

The Mud Duck was the only vessel moored outside.

And behind Okuma's seat, the proximity alarm trilled again; Another ship vector cut across the display. It was starting to look like the Mud Duck was surrounded.

And as for Okuma's acquisition, well Braze Braze just stepped back out on to the deck that were no longer magnetized accompanied by Kyric Kyric and Leos Leos

The T-6 shuttle reverted from hyperspace hot on the tail of Jasper's ship. The revelation of the small device being a tracker had allowed the Jedi to narrow down the location of Braze. Or at least that was the hope, this time. The events leading up to the new location had been complicated, but now the New Jedi were prepared for what might come next, which would - ideally - be an arrest.

"Sensors are picking up a structure called Gloam Spoke Relay," Jand said, as he stood over the droid pilot, looking at the screens beyond the chair. "I suspect that is where we will find Braze. Or perhaps another crumb on his trail."

With a flick of the Force, Jand activated the comm system, contacting Jasper's vessel.

"Jasper, does the tracker point us to that relay structure?"

The droid pilot maintained a loose formation with the other friendly ship, even as sensors warned of another arrival.

They weren't alone, it seemed.

"We may have trouble," Jand called to the Jedi in the shuttle, as he turned to look at them. "We are going in ready. No delays or games this time."

The droid pilot kept pace with Jasper, and followed as the other flew...

Braze squinted, pale eyes narrowing as silhouettes bled out of hyperspace and took shape against the endless black sea. Two of them he knew, familiar outlines that caused a tightened his chest.

Without hesitation, he reached down and scooped Gidgit up, the little droid buzzing nervously in his palm before he pressed it toward Leos Leos .
"Get to your ship," Braze ordered, his voice clipped curtly, giving no room for argument. The Mud Duck would hold long enough for them to get clear.

He turned then, gaze falling on Kyric Kyric as touch of worry broke through the placid mask of calm he wore. "Keep him safe." The words were soft, but heavy with intent and meaning alike.

Before either could protest, Braze moved suddenly and swiftly emboldened by force speed. He sprang upward, boots striking durasteel as he vaulted onto the station's roof. His figure slipped into motion, padding away from the Mud Duck, and away from his companions, each step widening the space between them. Distance was safety in this matter. Distance meant the crosshairs would fall on him and not them.

He knew Okuma's ship still sat within the Mud Duck's hangar, and that the stubborn man would likely never leave without him, but Braze wasn't going to drag his friends into what was coming next.

The station groaned beneath him as he vanished into a shadow, as he tried to raise Saram Kote Saram Kote on comms from a small Earring he wore.

"This is Azure Phoenix, do you read me Silent Hunter?"

"Jasper, does the tracker point us to that relay structure?"

"Yeah... That's it."

Braze's ship was there. Braze's presence was here. He could feel it with certainly.

Jasper maneuvered his Epo-1 towards the Mud Duck, quickly spotting the vessel amidst the scrap of the relay. He gave control of his vessel over to his astromech and opened up the cockpit of the ship, dawning his Anti-Toxin Face Mask 2.0. With some mustered strength, Jasper performed a Force Leap and surged through space towards Braze's ship, sending orders to Blip.

"Keep the ship out of harm's way," he ordered.

As Jasper flew threw the void, he caught a glimps of something that he couldn't ignore. Braze, turning and running. He wasn't on the Mud Duck. He would find his son later. It was the man who had taken him captive that needed to be dealt with first. If Braze wasn't aboard the ship, however, that meant there was no risk to his safety if it happened to be damaged. Drastic measures where the exact sort of thing that Jasper was most prepared for.

"Braze is moving away from the vessel," Jasper relayed. "Two others are standing outside. One looks like a kid... They may not know what's going on. Operate with the assumption that the boy is a civilian, at least. I'm entering the ship to apprehend the primary suspect."

The Jedi Master would hit the window of the cockpit with a muted thunk. He oriented himself on the front veiwport, powered up the piston in his mechanical arm, and simply began swinging. A crack would begin to form, growing until Jasper could punch it open.

If the man who kidnapped Braze just so happened to be in the cockpit, he was in for a wild ride. Jasper would at least make sure he didn't suffocate...

Completely.

Leos turned as he heard ships jumping out of hyperspace. He hardly had time to even think about what was going on before the little droid companion Braze had was shoved into his hands.

"Get to your ship," Braze ordered, his voice clipped curtly, giving no room for argument. The Mud Duck would hold long enough for them to get clear.

"Hey, what the-"

And then he was gone. Running. As Braze bolted off, a distant thud turned his eyes to the sight of a man now clamped onto the cockpit of the Mud Duck, punching the viewport like a madman. What the hell was going on? Granted, Leos had a feeling something was fishy with how Braze acted around that eye-patch bloke, but this was out of the blue and nonsensical.

Did the Mud Duck have pressure locks in case of a leak? Maybe he should get back to his ship. He didn't want Sari to get sucked out into space.

"I don't know what's going on, Mister Kyric," Leos began, "But Braze gave me an order. I need to get to my ship. I have to go."

With that, the young Themian boarded the Mud Duck and began bolting towards the hangar where his YT-1760 was.
