OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To submit a NPC made during the Soulsaber quest.
  • Role: Cerbera's assistant and apprentice.
  • Links: /
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Age: 42
  • Force Sensitivity: Force Dead
  • Species: Yuuzhan Vong
  • Appearance: As is expected from a Master Shaper Nim went through multiple escalations and even began experimenting on herself, shaping her body in the ways she wanted. The result is... unique. She possesses multiple limbs. Six in total, all of them Shaper Arms. But the most striking feature of hers are her many faces. Each face was taken from a subject of hers, treated and added to her strange collection. They seem to be somewhat alive and have a similar origin as the other living biots the Yuuzhan Vong have created across their existence. It isn't rare for Nim to suddenly swap from one face to the other in the middle of the conversation. Those that get a glimpse of what is behind her face masks as a rule do not discuss it, lest they remind themselves of it.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Nim Dal
  • Loyalties: Cerbera | Dzujen'qo.
  • Wealth: Comfortable.
  • Notable Possessions: A necklace with various organic, living spheres. These are her personal Qang qahsas that let her access the research she conducts and the knowledge stored on the various Shaping Protocols.
  • Skills: Nim Dal was and is a Yuuzhan Vong Master Shaper. This means she is highly competent and experienced in bio-engineering, genetic manipulation and the more specialized shaping doctrines of the Yuuzhan Vong.
  • Personality: Contrary to what her appearance and work might suggest Nim is highly creative, energetic and pleasant to talk to. "Why yes, I am going to implant some biochemical strain in your body, but that doesn't mean we can't have a pleasant conversation in the meantime, no?" Is definitely something she might have said once or twice. Other than that Nim is quite a humble person, cares about her research and... well, in all honesty she only cares about her research. All the time spend in the lab has made her somewhat desensitized and her origin with the Yuuzhan Vong has somewhat skewed her view on certain subjects.
COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Weapon of Choice: Amphistaff, Bo'tous, Coufee, Finger-spear.
  • Combat Function: In general Nim Dal avoids combat whenever possible. She'd rather manipulate someone into fighting for her, then try and fight herself. But when she does she will try her best to stay at range and use one of the several weapons at her disposal to kill her opposition. Mostly because Nim isn't a fighter and that is easily noticed. She only has a few strategies to employ, but a skilled warrior will quickly see that her footwork is off, as is her balance and timing. One of her favorite tactics is slipping her Amphistaff out of sight, letting it sneak up on her prey, then goad them into coming close. Once they are within reach of her Bo'tous she lets them loose, while the Amphistaff attacks at the same time from a different angle. More often than not this solves any problems in her path.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Nim of Domain Dal was always an eccentric figure within the Yuuzhan Vong commune.

Creative, playful, imaginative, Nim wasn't content with keeping herself limited to the scripture proscribed to them by the Priests and Intendants. She wasn't stupid though and realized early on (after several trips to the Embrace of Pain in their approximation of a school) that it would be best to keep her thoughts to herself. At least until she amassed enough power and strength that they wouldn't dare to touch her again.

She studied dutifully, studied hard and eventually found herself as a Shaper of Domain Dal.

A week later Selvaris was engulfed in a storm of fire, earthquakes and destruction. She barely escaped the world, before it swallowed her and hers whole. Why she decided to return to the broken world years later was anyone's guess. She didn't seem particularly interested or dutiful when it came to the symbol of their worship. When pressed Nim simply said that the Castes of Selvaris promised her more freedom to experiment than the Exiles would.

Cerbera and [member="Darth Ophidia"] infiltrated the encampment on Selvaris with the direct purpose of stealing that object of worship.

Thankfully Nim was too busy on the Shaper's bioship to be caught in the cross-fire of that. Instead she found the ship boarded by the two Sith, deciding it would be best to simply ally herself with them.

The consequence of standing against them was plain to see after all.

After subjecting Cerbera to a final test -- making her escalate herself by removing her own arm in favor of a Shaper's Arm -- and seeing her pass Nim accepted that the Alchemist was of a different sort of class. She was eager to join and be spared. Once Cerbera cleared out the bridge of the bio-ship Nim assisted their escape by manipulating the Yammosk into departing from Selvaris.

From there on out Nim became a familiar presence near Cerbera.
