Nico possesses the unmistakable good looks of old Naboo aristocracy, though there is something decidedly more relaxed about him than the portraits lining the ancestral halls might prefer.
Dark brown, nearly black hair falls in loose waves around sharply defined features, usually arranged just enough to satisfy propriety before inevitably escaping any effort to tame it. His grey eyes are expressive and attentive and, more often than not, frequently betraying amusement before the smile actually arrives.
He favors charcoal, black, weathered burgundy, and deep oxblood, often paired with dark leather and understated bronze detailing. Formal occasions find him appropriately dressed for his station, naturally, though given the opportunity, Nico tends toward clothes that let him breathe. All in all, he carries himself with the confidence of someone accustomed to aristocratic circles without appearing particularly impressed by them.

Nico knows the tune -- he was raised a Veruna, after all.
He knows when to bow, when to smile, which fork belongs to which course, how to address a noble without causing a diplomatic incident and precisely how long one is expected to pretend an elderly aristocrat's story remains fascinating.
In public, Nico fulfills those expectations with practiced ease. He is courteous without being stiff, sociable without demanding attention and perfectly capable of representing his family when circumstance requires it -- especially in the wake of the prima donna personality his second cousin, Aurelian Veruna, Patriarch of House Veruna and now King of Naboo. If anything can be said, that while Aurelian was the life of the party and the playboy heir, Nico was merely sitting back being more than amused enough at the antics but knowing when he had to act the way good ol' Marcus wanted the entire family to play.
In private, considerably more of Nico slips through. Humor comes easier, as does the scoundrel grin.
By all accounts, he possesses a naturally lighthearted disposition and has always found something faintly absurd about the elaborate rituals surrounding aristocratic life. Not because he considers them meaningless, but because spending one's entire life treating everything with grave solemnity sounds absolutely
exhausting.
And being second-born of a lesser Veruna House has helped.
Responsibility was still expected of him, but the future of his branch was never placed entirely upon his shoulders. Nico therefore learned how to inhabit two worlds rather comfortably: the polished young Veruna expected in public and the considerably more casual man underneath looking to make a name for himself.
Nico likes people, likes hearing their stories, and asks questions because he is genuinely curious rather than because he is searching for weaknesses.
