PHYSICAL INFORMATION

Age: 18
Force Sensitivity: Non-Force User
Species: Otolla Gungan
Appearance: Nibal Han is a young Gungan, with light blue, slightly wrinkled skin, and dark yellow eyes. He is 6'6'', and well-muscled, the product of military training. His ears, called haillu, lie flat on his back, tucked into his armor.

Whether on or off the hunt, he often wears his poncho, to protect him from harmful sunlight. On particularly heated days, you might find him with a large, floppy hat.

SOCIAL INFORMATION

Name: Nibal Han Karba

Loyalties: Ghorua the Shark

Wealth: The wages of a bounty hunter. Sudden wealth from hunts is often followed by upkeep costs, which are followed by successful hunts. A never ending cycle.

Notable Possessions: Nibal Han has a few mementos from his earlier years, most notably being his set of idols depicting the Guds, which he routinely prays over for guidance and support. He also is the proud owner of a female kaadu named Dobbis, after the Gungan goddess of spring water.

As a bounty hunter, he will often switch up his weapons suite for the job, but his standard loadout includes:

Skills: Nibal Han was trained first in one of the cavalry divisions of the Gungan Grand Army on Naboo. The army training focused on his cesta, horsemanship, and basic melee combat. The grand army's focus on teamwork and strength had a big impact on how he enacts his hunts.

Ghorua's training focused more on blasters, armor, and tech. He stressed the importance of details, and continues to train him in the subtleties of the Hunt. Ghorua also taught Nibal Han his unorthodox style of fighting, combining the brute force strikes of shockboxing, and the flowing speed of Teräs Käsi.

Personality: Being judged by others for being a species often considered buffoonish and low-tech, combined with the way he "spake", has made him a quiet and sheepish individual. But when he does speak, many are often surprised by his deep, smooth tone and thoughtful eloquence.

Nibal Han Karba is unlike his mentor in many ways. He is a ponderous apprentice hunter, shy and quiet. While not enjoying the spotlight, he doesn't share the same moral boundaries as the Shark. He understands and accepts the Shark's hesitance for certain jobs, he has no issue taking anyone in for anyone when on his own.

COMBAT INFORMATION

Weapons of Choice: Cesta, Ion Weaponry

Combat Function: Due to his training in the Grand Army, as well as his tutelage under the Shark, he is adept in a fight, as Ghorua quickly found out. He is well versed in projectile weapons and fighting while mounted, such as on a Kaadu or speeder bike. The Cesta is a strange weapon, not often seen outside Naboo space, and offers a unique challenge for those used to blasters and slugthrowers.

Nibal Han is also above-average in close-quarters combat, using both his Cesta and basic Teräs Käsi knowledge. While he may not be able to out-duel a Jedi or Sith, he could hold his own against a padawan for a while.

However, Nibal Han shines when he is paired with Ghorua, or another ally. Due to the army's focus on teamwork, and Karba's own beliefs on the subject, he has learned the intricacies of the feint, how to flank opponents, and how to hold and escape a target's attention. He's a team player, and it shows when Nibal Han and Ghorua fight together.

Despite his proficiencies, Ghorua noticed a few glaring weaknesses. For one, Nibal Han is not a good one-on-one fighter. He works best when part of a team, and when cornered by himself, he falters. Secondly, he has little experience with blasters, and although he is learning, he hasn't quite grasped the concept yet. Point and shoot is a more complicated process for one that had only been taught to lob boomas.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Nibal Han Karba's life began as many Gungan lives did; in a bubble city, far below the surface of Naboo.

Nibal Han was born in Otoh Gunga, to a pair of Otollo Gungans, Drubal Has and Ash Karth Karba. His parents were war veterans who worshiped the Guds fervently. Nibal Han had always had a fascination with the Gungan pantheon, especially Balam, the God of War. Nibal Han's childhood consisted of constant prayer to these gods, and enjoying time with his family. He never questioned why they would often leave for days on end, and come back without an explanation.

When Nibal Han was in his early teens, his family was accused of being members of the Ultragungans, an ancient cult of radical religious zealots, and brought before the Bosses for a hearing. At this hearing, his parents were convicted, and executed, leaving Nibal Han to the fury of the Bosses. Instead of killing the boy, they conscripted him into the Gungan Grand Army.

He spent his younger years as a servant under various generals. He fetched drinks, cleaned weapons, and looked after the kaadu. During this time, in something Nibal Han will only refer to as "The Blurrg Incident", his acting general was exiled, and he was promoted to the kaadu cavalry.

In his teen years, he learned all he could from the Grand Army, and picked up a few skills, his kaadu, Dobbis, and his first cesta, which he promptly broke over the head of an opponent in a training exercise. Through all this, he prayed to Balam for strength and clarity. And he would tell you Balam delivered.

The army was marching in a parade through Theed when Nibal Han felt his eyes shift to the side. He would swear years later he saw a dark figure in a cloak and armor beckon him away from the army, towards a nearby starship. Interpreting this as a sign from Balam, he and Dobbis broke formation, galloped into the open starship, and blasted away.

He hopped around the galaxy for a few years before picking up Bounty Hunting as a profession. He was decent hunter, but struggled to make ends meet. Until he met Ghorua the Shark on a job on Tatooine. That was where their story together began.

With the divinities behind him, the Shark beside him, and Otoh-D'in ahead, Nibal Han would prove just how deadly a Gungan could be.
