Other Features
- Co-pilot seat to help make in flight repairs and reroute power to different systems
- Quite Fast: Aerodynamic and with a butt load of engines the VT has no problem keeping up it's speed and with the turbine engine able to work in reverse allows for decent air breaking and turning.
- Cargo space: If a co pilot is not needed his seating area can act as a small storage unit, good for, you know 'transporters'.
- More Kick: The lack of any extra laser cannons and limited missiles makes this craft unfit for taking on larger more well armored targets.
- Low Shielding: Though having a decent hull on par with with an A-wing it's shielding is a little worse for wear due to the extreme engines to give it its top speed.
Trying to appeal to all possible markets an and people alike Harley decided to dig into the past a little among the Republic and incom corporation, looking at past land speeder and in atmosphere ship. During the search the Planetary Defender Starfighter caught interest, being a relatively cheap (when compared to a new X-wing) fast fighter that may appeal to security forces and privateers.
With the ship being relatively forget now and very outclassed due to modern arms the retro fit and upgrading took some time, but eventually the old jet fighter was once again put back into service. Faster then an A--wing with maneuverability just about an X-wing the VT is perfect for fast interception of enemy forces and keeping your assets out of the hands of pirates.
Operating:
The VT is a 2 seat one astromech boom and zoom interceptor that comes in to deliver pain and get away with ease, tactics used for this would be diving not dog fighting, though such can still be applied.
Defenses:
Due to the extra engines and such the shielding on the craft is a little weaker with a hull strength similar to that of a A-wing, best advice to not be shot out of the sky? don't get hit, but you will last much longer then a TIE fighter
