Newcomer seeks Bounty and Slaver work

Talia Krosk walked into the Black Sun cantina for the first time, her nose crinkled at the familiar smell of sweat and cheep alcohol. Her boots thumped on the floor as she walked to the bar and sat down. She got comfortable and ordered a drink. When the barkeep she downs it and looks the barkeep in the eye.

"Who in this organization do I talk to about Bounties and Slaver work?"

From the shadows of the back booths called a voice. That which belonged to Rayl Wilded. A jack of all trades for Black Sun and its former leader. "So lass, some bold spine you have to walk in to a den of thieves and cutthroats and demand work. All without giving a name to prove you've any bearing at all. Though clearly you lack the knowledge on our nation to know slavery was made illegal some months back. So, give me a reason why I shouldn't just toss you back to the street"? Rayl spun his glass around the rim of its base. He was quite intrigued by the girl. Still he had to question her. Not anyone just worked for the Sun's operations. You needed some skill to do so.

When Talia heard the stranger she got up from the bar and strode to the back booth. She stood tall over the table and glared down at the men in the shadows. Her right hand rested on the large heavy blaster strapped to her waist and her left gripped the hilt of a knife sheathed on her thigh.

"The name is Talia Krosk, I'm not leaving without a job and some answers. If you have a problem with that proposal you can try to force me out, but I'm and you're not going to force me out. You can try, but know there are very few things I love more than cutting the throat of annoying kriffers who thought they could best me."

Lily had been sitting in the centre of the room, accompanied by only her identical sister. The twins were well known in Mandalorian and One Sith space, but this was Black Sun territory. Anyone that knew them knew they were Dar'manda, and worse they had been Bounty Hunters turned Royal Guard for the Sith, and now they were once more outlaws. Of Venus and Lily, the latter was more infamous than her sister. Hanging from her waist were the scalps of a blue Twi'lek and a green Nautolan, and the decapitated head of a Kaminoan. Three Jedi; Padawan Jora Vao, Master Hasjo Hallu and Padawan Kuan Le.

She swept her cybernetic gaze, following the woman who had entered the cantina. Lily placed her arm on the back rest of her chair, looking to Rayl as he spoke to her, Lily nodded in agreement. Then things took a turn for the worse, at least for Talia that was. Lily spoke up, interjecting herself to prevent a fight from breaking out, "You're not a very smart woman, are you?" The cyborg pushed her chair back, screeching against the floor in protest. She stood with two heavy thuds, a testament to her increased weight at the hand of heavy cybernetic surgery. Lily said, "Now, how about you sit yourself down and clean up your act before you get yourself killed. You're not the highest roller in this establishment." Lily hiked a thumb to Rayl, "He is."

Talia's eyes passed back and forth between the Cybernetic Twi'lek and the man at the booth, her eyes settled on the latter.

"Who are you then? If you're so important, what's your name?

"Important? No," the Keshiri bounty hunter said, "But I know when to keep my mouth shut, and when to talk." Lily motioned with her offhand, "Something you need to learn." She introduced herself, "The names Lily, bounty hunter full time. and I don't appreciate people putting words I've not spoken into my mouth."

Rayl shuffled himself out of the booth. This woman lent some ease with pulling her hand away from the gun. Its always such a mess when they fight because they tell these kinds of people off. Hotshots in the world where reputation meant everything didn't fit in well. It was time she came to know where his reputation lay though. Lily was kind enough to point him out for it to. "Well lass, I'll tell ya. I am Rayl Wilded. Pirate Lord of Black Sun. One of her military commanders when needed. I own the third largest arm supplier for the Suns too. And to top it all off, I was until some months ago upon resignation the Underlord". Rayl gave a moment to let the revelation sink in. She was standing before the second most powerful person in Sun space. Arms crossed with an equal face to match. Every eye and gun in the Cantina watching them. "So, this Kriffer as you called me is a very dangerous man. And I like respect like a cold drink. Now, how about before we talk further; I get an apology".

Talia swallowed hard at the mention of the stranger's name. She slowly turned towards him again. With her arms crossed and as hard of a look as she could muster she spoke again.

"I've heard of you, you've got quite the reputation. I'm sorry for my offense. Now I'll ask again do you have any work?"

"Saying your sorry is as much apologizing, and promising you shall never do such an offense again. I hope you will take that to heart and think before you speak to someone so brashly again". Rayl was waving about his right index finger like a teacher scolding his pupil. Upon finishing his lesson of sorts to the girl he turned about to his table and waved off to the girl. "I have something, but nothing official on the boards yet. Black Sun is an equal opportunity employer for Bounty Hunters. At least concerning state matters. Give me a moment to gather relevant information for you. Make friends with Miss Rose if you feel so". Rayl smiled to himself. He bet Lily had no idea he knew who she was. That was one of his best secrets though, information was his strategy. He was one of the eyes and ears of the Galaxy. It kept him ahead of his foes; and friends.
