Welcome to the Caragachi Enclave! - In Summary​

The Caragachi Enclave (CE) is a highly centralized state centered on the planet of Caragach. Heavily influenced by Imperial ideology, the CE straddles the line between republic and empire, keeping up an illusion of democracy only to keep its people content. The CE enjoys good relations with many Imperial remnants, though its relative isolation means that the Enclave usually has to fend for itself.

Recognizing that nearly all its foes outnumber them and have superior firepower, the CE relies on advanced strategy more than it does brute force. Instead of throwing a dozen Star Destroyers at an enemy force, the CE works to sabotage enemy supply lines and sow dissent before moving in for the kill.

A Brief Faction History​

The story of the Caragachi Enclave begins in the aftermath of the Gulag Plague. Collectively decimated by the ravages of the plague, the remaining sentient species of Caragach banded together to create a single united state in order to rebuild their society and ultimately restore it to its former glory. This united state would become known as the Caragachi Enclave.

For the next century and a half, the Caragachi Enclave focused inwards, repopulating its cities and rebuilding its infrastructure. By the mid 800s ABY, Caragach was again a thriving world. Yet as the imminent threat of societal collapse faded into distant memory, political polarization rose in the Caragachi Senate. Chief among these divisions was the conflict between the Senate’s two largest factions: the conservative, neo-Imperial Principlists and the aptly named Progressives who sought to strengthen Caragach’s democratic institutions.

Tensions reached their tipping point in 905 ABY, when the Principlists led a coup against the Progressives for control of the Senate. Aided by ex-Imperial general FN-999 and his forces, the Principlists began and ultimately triumphed in a four-day civil war for the future of Caragach. Since the end of the civil war, the Principlists have reigned supreme, eroding Caragachi democracy in favor of a more expansionist, Imperial doctrine.

Roles in the Faction​

The Caragachi Enclave provides unique opportunities for roleplay due to its dual nature as both a republic with an influential Senate and an aspiring empire modeled off authoritarian Imperialism. Listed below are a variety of options to get started in the Caragachi Enclave:

For Political/Diplomatic Writers

• Caragachi Senate - Draft and sign bills, meet with important ministers to discuss key issues, and represent the Enclave abroad in negotiations. Be careful not to run afoul of official doctrine!​

For Military Writers/Warposters

• Caragachi Armed Forces (CAF) - A blanket label for the military of the Caragachi Enclave.
  • Caragachi Army - A moderately sized, well-disciplined force inspired by Imperial military doctrine. Specializes in maneuver warfare and blitz tactics, making extensive use of drones in support of mobile formations of tanks, self-propelled artillery, and mechanized heavy infantry.
  • Caragachi Navy - A modest but capable fleet centered on carrier strike groups and flexible heavy cruiser squadrons. It has very few vessels larger than 2000m, but it has numerous escorts and unique specialist craft such as arsenal ships and interdictors.
  • Caragachi Starfighter Corps - Recognizing its limited manpower pool, the CSC departs from traditional Imperial doctrine and prioritizes quality over quantity, giving even its most novice pilots highly capable starfighters and bombers. The CSC also oversees wings of attack craft used for close air support and air strikes on surface targets.

For Corpos/Business Writers

• Caragachi Board of Commerce - Members of the Board meet to regulate commerce, fund promising ventures, and connect industry leaders to the Caragachi Senate to secure high-profile contracts.

Other

• Interior Enforcement / External Intelligence - IE and EI represent Caragach’s counterintelligence and intelligence agencies respectively. IE agents hunt down rebels and enemy spies while EI agents infiltrate the enemies of Caragach to glean vital secrets or sabotage important assets.
