Faction New Group Created - Hutt Republic

Lorda of Nem'ro and Hutt Republic Supreme Mogul
Broka the Hutt has created a new group called Hutt Republic.

The newest form of ruling the Hutts will have to regain prominence in the galaxy. A governmental system that allows the Hutt rule over their worlds in Hutt Space to become more legitimate, while also allowing Hutts to live the lives of luxury they have perused throughout their species' history. The Hutt Assembly is a parliament of sorts of every Hutt Lorda within the Hutt Republic's domain, where they can vote on policies relating to the Hutt Republic's standing to the rest of the galaxy (war, trade, alliances, etc.), yet does not touch on domestic policy in these sessions. Meanwhile, the "leader" of this government is the Supreme Mogul, who is elected by the Lordas of the Hutt Assembly to be the representative of both their clan, as well as the Hutt Republic as a whole, to the rest of the galaxy. One MUST be a Hutt to have a position of proper authority in this system, yet any race can rise to prominence if they show loyalty to their respective Lorda, and are good at their job.

A Lorda has absolute power over their dominion, yet there are certain, but few, laws that are expected any Hutt Lorda to follow within the Hutt Republic.
  • Fighting other Hutt clans will NOT be tolerated by the Hutt Assembly. Infighting will be put down by the collective force of the Hutt Assembly outside the fight, with the aggressor receiving punishment. Wars between clans is bad for business.
  • The Supreme Mogul has to manage their clan's holdings, as well as the expected tasks of being the representative of the Hutt Republic to the galaxy. They cannot enforce laws on other Lordas' domains, but can still rule their domain with similar absolute power. Yet, for any decision for the whole Hutt Republic, that would have to be passed by the vote of the Hutt Assembly.
  • Due to the more prominent neighbors being the Silver Jedi Concord (SJC), and the Confederacy of Independent Systems (CIS), slavery will not be endorsed by the Hutt Republic. Lordas are discouraged from participating in the slave trade, and if any sanctions are placed on a specific clan, the Hutt Republic will not defend said Lorda for dealing slaves. Said neighbors are rather moralist, and deeply apposed to slavery, so this measure allows for the Hutt Republic itself to not be to blame for slave trade operations. Instead the blame would pass to whichever Lorda is responsible for still operating the morally gray business.
  • Lordas can have their own private army, yet a conscription clause is added to any non-recruited citizens across the Hutt Republic to be drafted into a common army in times of war, especially in wars that are defending from an outside force. However, a vote in the Hutt Assembly is the only way to enact this clause.

OOC: Given that the Hutts run this faction, this is a more economically focused faction. More diplomacy and trade threads are to be expected, yet wars with lesser gangs, and possible expansion to unclaimed hexes are going to be the more frequently occurring forms of armed conflict IC. Hutt Republic may also host festivals and social gatherings among Hutt affiliated characters, yet certain outsiders could be invited to attend as well. This group will be a great home to anyone not interested in stories mostly related to military conquest, and prefer more political/social rp being the primary focus on average. This faction may also provide plenty of opportunity for corporate groups to have a free zone to operate in, where minimal restrictions are put into place once permission is granted to set up shop.
