House Viren was created when one of Xim’s sons from his second marriage took to wife his eldest brother’s bride-to-be from under his nose. Through their marriage he created his own House and words to proclaim his intentions, taking the ancestral seat of his wife’s family as his own and becoming the first Lord of Coradon. Through that union, the Viren’s trace their lineage back to two royal lines: King Xim the Despot, and Ultun Sabathian, the first King of Chandaar who ruled long before Xim’s conquests.

On the matter of dynasties, scholars dispute when exactly it was that House Cron was replaced by House Viren chronologically. Due to a conglomeration of tampered records designed to showcase the Viren’s victories, the passage of time, and the travesties of the Gulag Plague that saw several texts of importance destroyed, we may never truly know.
Physical Features
Physical features have remained strong throughout the family for many generations due to a genetic mutation found in the Viren bloodline and negligible traces of Morellian DNA. While variations in hair and eye color do crop up, they are predominantly known and recognized for their vibrant red hair, varying shades of violet eyes, and pale skin.

After the unexpected death of Queen Ailyne Viren and the disappearance of Princess Raella following the Netherworld events, the Royal Viren House was thought to have gone extinct, leaving a vacancy of power that was quickly filled by various corporate leaders seeking to exploit the decaying world even further.
