New Faction Owner nominations

I just think he had to come in with a little fire and brimstone to stir the soul initially.
Pretty much this exactly.

So, you can't claim you plan to be just a facilitator style FO, and then have a pretty developed plan for carrying out a PVP war with another Faction that you developed pretty much on your own.
Like, this 'detailed plan' is a bare bones outline I came up with in thirty seconds when Ava was asking if I would want to be F.O. on Skype, lol.

I don't plan on ramming policies down any throats, so yeah.

Hmm.

Very interesting.

All good things. I am all for PVP but also want more story.

Dunno. Dominions aren't story driven as I think they could be.

I leave the Faction to decide what they want, with no further input from me. A month or so ago everyone was ga-ga for stories and no Invasions when they put up Ayden and when he asked us what we want. Now, apparently, I am the only one according to some. Which is fine. I wish you guys the best of luck in finding an FA/FO who will stick around and get things done, whatever that is that you want. G'luck folks!

Here's some simple questions that I would like some perspective on.

What does it mean to be a "story driven" faction?

What prevents dominions from being story driven?

What is preventing the GA from being a "story" driven faction now? What do you want to see done different from the FA/FO team?

If you look at a faction thread and see a bunch of mediocre posts with no story, is that the fault of the FAs and FO, or the fault of those who made the posts?

Last I saw, we still have our PVE baddy we are fighting in our dominions and in faction threads, so I'm unsure what the issue is that Juliuis is concerned about.

Those are currently being Roleplayed and are active for anyone to join.

I just want to see more Ooc leadership helping in posting what is going on, what threads are active, if there are any neat Ooc or ic socials, or whatever we had in the beginning that had people constantly blasting what there was for the GA to do.

We went from 3 faction staff to one, and the loss of communication went hand in hand with activity.

If we get an active admin the uses the news section, helps update our faction recruitment , updates our active threads, and then gets other members to delegate tasks to keep the members actively aware of what is going on, then I'm happy.

We used to have so many skirmishes that were member created or other faction threads. These don't need a faction leader to start. Anyone can.

But being aware they are out there helps by keeping the Galactic Alliance name out there.

Exactly. Being active in the news section, letting members know what's going on and where to post. Those are all what I think the main job of the faction team should be. It's not on the faction team to helm the story, but to let the writers know where the story is so they can each put their hand on the wheel. Co-creation of knowledge, as Paolo Freire said. Facilitators.

I cannot for the life of me see what Julius was talking about.

Thusly. I nom [member="Ryan Korr"] . He's got the time and balls for it. And if I want a story? I'll build one. Easy as that.
