Never unarmed

"Welcome to the lower city of Nar Shaddaa."
A voice beeped as Tracyn stepped off the elevator, along with the hundreds of other people. He had told [member="Zaren Bouqi"] to meet him down here. This place reminded him of the place where him and [member="Darth Vindica"] first fought- the lower city of Coruscant. He was reminded of how easily Darth Vindica swept aside his attacks in their first encounter, and it was only when Tracyn got creative that a standstill was reached. Marcus was truly, an opponent to be respected and be cautious of. Their next encounter, however, Tracyn was not so lucky. In fact, for most of the fight, he was on the defensive and was nearly torn apart by the lightning and other powerful force moves that Vindica mustered. He would like to be able to say that Vindica fell easily- but in fact, Tracyn's big break came only when Vindica literally had him on his knees. The Sith Assassin definitely could have ruined Tracyn, if Tracyn did not have one particular skill...

Teras Kasi.

It was a term that invoked a notion of holomovie action sequences, with regular people beating Sith (or Jedi in some parts of space) users, or pulling off impressive feats of strength and speed. In reality, this was not far from the truth- but it was not as easy as the movies made it look. It was not just a physical discipline, it was a discipline of the mind and soul as well. Which made it unique than the other forms, from Echani and from Mandalorian. The only other martial art that Tracyn could think of that would come close to it was Gand, though he was only versed in a few aspects of that. Other species had a difficult time with the martial art of the Gand Findsman- and Tracyn was one of them. Tracyn sat down on a bench, and began to wait for his student.

He had asked the other Jedi Knight to teach him the ways of Teras Kasi. In the event that he was unable to use the Force, or lost all of his other weapons, he was certain that this form of combat would save his life, as he had heard it saved [member="Tracyn Ordo"]'s life upon Empress Teta in his fight with a Sith Lord.

He glanced at his datapad to verify the location that he was heading towards was close, and once that had been confirmed, he entered the turbolift that would bring him down to the lower levels of Nar Shaddaa. He was directly above where he needed to be, so all he needed to do now was ride the turbolift down to the levels below.

He expanded his force sense to reach for the other Jedi Knight's as soon as the doors slid open and he glanced around and followed it for a few moments before he saw Tracyn Ordo sat upon a bench; waiting for him. He didn't hesitate and approached with a steady pace and he clasped his hands behind his back and laced the fingers together and greeted the Jedi with a bow. "Thank you for taking your time to help me, Master Ordo."

He figured that the Jedi Knight in front of him would only know his name as Bishop, since the Jedi had only given his actual name to two other people in the Galaxy, those people being the Grandmaster, and Spencer Jacobs in order to gain her trust.

[member="Zaren Bouqi"] was an eager one, and Tracyn could sense it. Tracyn folded his hands into his Ossus robes, leaned back in the seat, and looked up at the younger Knight and smiled."Have a seat Bishop, I believe we have much to discuss other than your pseudonym."Tracyn's eyes glanced upward at the darker skinned night, and smiled. Tracyn watched the busy bodies of the street pass. It felt so much more orderly, now that the Republic was in charge. The Black Sun may have talked a big game about the big bad Republic- but at the end of the day, you could be feeding a community, but you shouldn't feed them with money that was gained from theft and extortion.

"Before we begin, I'm going to ask you something, Bishop."He stopped and settled into the bench."Tell me what you think and have heard of me. And leave no details nor opinions out- I want to know who you think I am."

He did as his soon to be mentor had bid him. He sat down upon the bench without much hesitation and he waited for what he anticipated would be a question. And wow, had he been right. [member="Tracyn Ordo"] was going to be disappointed with what information he was going to get, for Zaren knew little if anything of him.

"If I am not mistaken, I had heard you died. Though, who had killed you, I have not been told. Your wounds, I still do not have a clue. What I have heard of you is that, you are a Jedi Knight, you fight for the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order, and you do your duty. I know little if anything else." He paused for a moment before speaking again. "Forgive me if I do not know what you have done, or who you are extensively, I have only recently rejoined the ranks of the Jedi Order, and once that had happened, I had made sure to stay within the Outer Rim area to search for any more Sith sects. My searches had been fruitful, for I had stayed there for quite some time to combat the New Order."

[member="Zaren Bouqi"] spoke very much like a Jedi should. Tracyn could respect that. Tracyn smiled when the part about him being dead surfaced.

"Ah. Me being dead. The details of which- were great exaggerated. Such is the nature of things in this galaxy. My wounds, as far as your concerned, did kill me, Bishop. Perhaps you will learn one day, how I nearly killed Kaine Zambrano, but died on that sun-scorched planet. And yet..."He opened his hands and gestured around him."Here I am."

"It would be wise for you to know your master, and for the master to know the student. Tell me about yourself, Bishop. And I ask you to be more relaxed. You seem tense."

He nodded his head to the Jedi Knight. He spoke wise words, it was a wonder that he wasn't Mastered yet, but that was a subject of conversation for another day. This point in time, he had a question of his own before he started to speak of himself. Zaren would make sure that he spoke as little as possible about himself, he preferred to keep his history before waking up a mystery to everyone. Even his actual name, for whatever reason that was.

"Who is Kaine Zambrano?" There it was, he had no idea who the being was, but he could just tell that it was a Sith Lord. Anyway, it was time to do was he was bid by his mentor. "Does he go by another name now?"

"Very well, Master Ordo." He replied with an inclination of his head. "I was born upon Tython, I grew up at the Jedi Academy located upon the planet. My uncle was one of the best Jedi Duelists to ever live in my time, and my father was a Jedi Knight as well. We were a family of Jedi, my three younger siblings and I became Jedi Padawans." He blinked for a moment while he thought of his family. Jedi Master T'el Bouqi, his uncle, Zane Bouqi, his younger brother, Zarius Bouqi, the second eldest, and Benjamin Bouqi, the youngest of them all aged at six years old when he had last seen him. I went this far, I may as well complete the story, right? But he couldn't bring himself to say what year he was born in.

"Kaine Zambrano..you may know him by another name, Darth Vornskr. It was only though my knowledge of a nearly forgotten art that allowed me to escape death." He smiled at [member="Zaren Bouqi"], and listened to his tale of his origin.

Jedi and families- something he almost had. He nodded and then leaned back on the bench."Tell me why you want to learn Teras Kasi, Bishop." He said, looking at the busy street.

He nodded his head at his mentor's statement. "I've seen him in combat." He figured it was needless to say where, but even so it was upon the planet of Empress Teta when he had come to the aid of the Jedi Grandmaster.

"The art interests me as to how non-force sensitives are capable of combating powerful force users and winning. Although, if I were to lose the use of the Force and any other physical weapons that I could have otherwise used, Teras Kasi would likely save my life. You must've experienced something like that, yes?"

[member="Zaren Bouqi"] brought a smile to Tracyn's face. He leaned back in the seat, nodding."It's all about tactics, outmaneuvering, and out-skilling your opponent. Teras Kasi will make you a blur, but keep in mind, it is not just a physical discipline. If you do it right, Teras Kasi can make you a deadly threat to Sith, dark siders, or anyone who wants to get at you in another way."Tracyn leaned back on the seat, folding his hands on his lap. He seemed to be wanting to take a nap.

"The mental part, in my opinion, makes Teras Kasi perhaps one of the most useful of the arts."
