Intent: To make people want to take hits and be cyborgs.
Development Thread: Phrik obtained for Rave, here. Ssi-Ruuvi paddle beamer technology was acquired by AEL's founder during the very, very long campaign to Lwhekk; links can be provided if necessary.
Manufacturer: Akure Executive Interstellar/NeuroSaav
Model: Emperor's Reach Prosthesis
Affiliation: Open market
Modularity: Limited; as specified below
Production: Mass, but exclusive and expensive
Material: Alusteel ('bones'/joints), terentatek ivory (laminate), duraplast, phrik (small amounts: 'bone'/joint reinforcements)
Classification: Augmented prosthesis (modified Ssi-Ruuvi paddle beamer located in wrist)
Size: Arm
Length: Arm
Weight: Comparable to an arm
Ammunition Type: Draws from the arm's diatium power cells
Ammunition Capacity: Up to 5 seconds of continuous fire every 60 seconds
Effective Range: 10m
Rate of Fire: Continuous beam
Special Features: Ssi-Ruuvi paddle beamer along inside of wrist, terentatek ivory provides 'blank canvas' for experienced alchemists, minor phrik reinforcements of 'bones' and joints
Description:
The terentatek ivory is an aesthetic choice for purposes of exclusivity. It provides no substantive benefit to the vast majority of its owners, apart from quite satisfactory levels of durability and lightness. To an experienced alchemist, however, the terentatek ivory is a blank canvas, capable of embodying any one common effect. (This covers minor and common effects. If an experienced alchemist wishes to make the arm's terentatek-ivory covering into something impressive and/or unique, a separate custom tech submission would be required.)

Inside the wrist, able to be deployed against most targets which the hand happens to be holding, is a Ssi-Ruuvi paddle beamer. Ssi-Ruuvi paddle beamers suffer from very short range and high ammunition costs, and do no physical damage. However, they can numb and incapacitate limbs, and cause paralysis or unconsciousness if the beam makes contact with the spine or brain. Ssi-Ruuvi paddle beamers are quiet, ignore both shields and armour, and can be only slightly bent by lightsabres. (Careful, time-consuming and educated re-tuning of a lightsabre allows deflection of paddle beamers at the cost of the ability to deflect blasterfire.)

The arm is of fairly basic capabilities for an expensive prosthesis. Its nerve conduction equivalency and autonomic reaction time are twice as fast as a standard human limb, though they can be dialed down to a 1:1 equivalency for the owner's psychological comfort. Its strength is modest for high-grade servos, merely double that of an athletic humanoid male's arm. Its 'bones' and joints are reinforced with small amounts of phrik. This does not provide significant lightsabre resistance, but does enhance durability and reduce weight.

The Emperor's Reach is available for replacement of a limb lost at wrist, elbow, shoulder or somewhat beyond the shoulder. It can be outfitted with a wrist communicator, and is compatible with a variety of headsets and monitoring devices, as well as other cybernetic body modifications/prosthetics.

SUGGESTIONS

LotF, Ironcrown and Rave have had quite a bit of history already with this type of technology. Everything looks in order.

Approved pending secondary.
