PRODUCTION INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Quantum effects
  • Quantum entanglement
  • Quantum mechanics
  • Spiking Neural Network
  • Whole brain emulation
STRENGTHS
  • Precision modelling: Applying principles of quantum entanglement the technology can perfectly capture and precisely replicate the movement of neurons and behavior of synapses in a living brain. The resultant artificial intelligence is thus typically pro-social and possesses many organic characteristics or inclinations mostly avoiding the risks associated with hypothetical genocidal thinking machines.
WEAKNESSES
  • Fatal consequences: A consequence of undergoing the Neural Emulation procedure is that the target host's nervous system is often destroyed as a consequences of the process, thus it cannot be used as a method of eternal life or immortality. Given that the process doesn't transfer the host's memories it is most useful to use cloned organic nervous system tissue for creating artificial intelligence through this process.
  • Memories: Unfortunately an Artificial Intelligence that is created through this technique does not share its' hosts memories only their personality and associated behaviors. Thus, such an Artificial Intelligence still requires materials to learn skills and tasks and will form their own objective and subjective conclusions as a result of their interaction with the environment.
  • Vestigial remnants: While an artificial intelligence created from this process will not have a full library of its hosts memories there is always vestigial long-term memory, behavior, habits and personality traits observable in the produced intelligence.
DESCRIPTION
Aneirin Neural Emulation was pioneered by the Gwerin Doeth neuroscientist Aneirin Dŵr ffyrnig between 387,370 BBY-387,352 BBY the technique was used in response to the obvious need for artificial general intelligence but balanced by the species' cultural aversion to thinking machines. It was hoped that the capturing of the neural patterns of a donor or cloned Gwerin Doeth nervous system would produce artificial intelligence that would be inherently inclined towards forming pro-social symbiotic relationships with organics. The process of Aneirin Neural Emulation works in basic terms through taking a neural scan using quantum-entangled waves of the host's nervous system in real-time to create a neural connectivity database, the scan includes: the nervous system, spinal cord, sensory receptors and muscle cells to completely capture resting state of neurons. However, as long-term and short-term memory features the movement and positioning of neurons in a specific pattern these are lost during the Neural Emulation though it is possible that certain vestiges of particularly strong long-term memory can be expressed in the Neural patterns of the produced artificial intelligence. The scan captures neurons that are affected by hormones and other biological chemical substances allowing a produced artificial intelligence to adopt gendered programming in a way that is consistent with its' host, a full Neural Emulation of a typical Gwerin Doeth is in excess of 20,000 Terrabytes.
