"People once believed that when someone dies, a crow carries their soul to the land of the dead. But sometimes, something so bad happens that a terrible sadness is carried with it and the soul can't rest. Then sometimes, just sometimes, the crow
can bring that soul back to put the wrong things right."

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: netherborn
  • Designation: Sentient
  • Origins: Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim
  • Average Lifespan: once "born" 150 years
  • Estimated Population: Rare
  • Description: the idea for this species is their born from extreame amounts of grief, sadness, and hatred. As such sometimes bleed threw into the normal world gravitating to battlefields often as their "birthplace" weather the battlefeild is ancient or new. often times gravitating to a section were those emotions are strongest and taking the identity and memories of the fallen person. These beings becoming Nether born who assume the Identity of the deceased, carry their memories feelings and final thoughts before their death and as such will attempt to carry out the fallen persons final wishes dreams and asperations while also being aware of who and what they really are.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: once it assumes the identity of the deceased it will breath like they do
  • Average Height of Adults: 1.5-1.8 meters tall
  • Average Length of Adults: between the average lengths of humans
  • Skin color of netherborn: black with glowing blue eyes and highlights however once it assumes the identity of a human individual it changes all but its eye color to match that of the individual
  • Hair color: as a netherborn it has no hair however when it assumes the identity of a individual it gets their hair color.
  • Distinctions: when in its nether form a netherborn will apear genderless with overlapping blackened plates instead of skin looking more like a suit of obsidion armor with a glowing blue core. its body flowing with the wind like its made of black smoke. the dullness of the glow and mattedness of the plates sigify its age if younger they shine bright if older they seem to be dull and matted
  • Races: netherborn- creatures who have yet to assume the identity of a fallen being and who remain within the nether
netherbirthed- those who bleed into realspace and assume the identiy of a fallen/dead individual
  • Force Sensitivity: All
improved reflexes, low grade pre cognition and shapeshifting
Strengths:
  • Wanderer of the Ways: born in the Nether, netherborn are able to travel to and from that realm with remarkable ease, often using its nonlinear nature to circumvent travel times; should they switch forms they incorporeal, able to infiltrate many a secure location with ease, though they are not necessarily undetectable to more unusual sensors and Force Users.
  • Eater of suffering: due to their nature they feed off of the suffering and emotional negativity of others for sustenance often leaving the individual feeling like a weight has been lifted from their shoulders and making them feel more at ease or contempt.
  • unnatural reflexes: being able to channel the force to assist them in reacting faster than the average human
  • telepathy (speaking only) when shapeshifted netherborn may use telepathy to speak
Weaknesses:
  • monsters begone: high ammounts of light from a lightsaber or energy weapon has greater effect if it hits them while unarmored then it would a regular person. even standing out in direct sunlight is painful to them almost as if they are suffering a bad sunburn.
  • sterile: due to assuming the identity of the fallen beings, just because they have working parts doesnt mean they can produce offspring
  • Decreasing abilities: They need to feed constantly so that their abilities do not decline and weaken. If they don’t, they first lose the ability to shape-shifting between forms and get stuck in their nether form. To do this, they need not only physical food, but also negitive emotions. So, even if someone doesn’t want to feed this way out of a moral issue, they still have to do it so they can live a normal life.
CULTURE
  • Diet: Omnivore/Vitalvore; Which, in the present case, applies to everything. They are able to consume any food and drink in physical form (which is not toxic to them, of course), but they cannot survive on this alone. As the shape-shifting's form became more and more complex from the average, the process is more and more energy-intensive. Keeping the shape/form no longer needs energy just a shape-shifting, and that energy needs to be replenished. If they live only on solid food and on normal fluid intake, they will sooner or later lose their ability to change their form. To sustain this, they are forced to feed on the negative emotions of others
  • Communication: A spoken language: galactic common, body language, and telepathy
  • Technology level: N/A; merc or bounty hunter standard
  • Religion/Beliefs: depends on the person in which they assume identity of
  • General behavior: depends on the person in which they assume identity of
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
With the unbalance of the nether in recent years due to individuals or netherworlders constant travel between worlds with those still living. Like when Ingrid transported Eskk and a force user to the nether[1]. the emotional and physical state of the realm or realspace has lead to a influx of emotions, death and suffering that hasn't been seen in a long time. With the invasion of Dantoeen and the destruction of an entire section of a Khyber crystal cave via force scream[2]. inadvertently lead to the creation of the netherborn. The raw emotion combined with both a force scream and the shattering of hundreds of Kyber crystals effected the Nether and nexus of the force is such a way to create the first netherborn.

This is a pretty interesting submission, though, there are just a few things to go over/clarify. I'll list them all out for you so that you can make any necessary adjustments fairly easily. It looks like a lot, but, it's really not bad at all. Appreciate your patience!

1.) Image Credit: You have "Dubu (Redice Studio)" but I think you forgot to link it. It actually belongs to AJ Ramos (Art Station) - Please use this link.

2.) Breathes: Once they take the form of another person - Do they have that individual's weaknesses? Will they need to breathe what that person breathes or do they still not?

3.) Average Height/Length/Hair Color: If I understand correctly, their height, shape, and coloring depend on the form they shape-shift into? I would ask that you note that somewhere in this section, or, you can approximate their natural characteristics and note that they will change depending on the person they shape-shift into.

4.) Force Sensitivity Section: The orange part I highlighted below is actually part of the template. That can be removed. Beneath or next to this section, I would ask that you specifically list what Force Powers they actually have. I grabbed at least a couple from other places in the sub but it's not quite clear.

Ex.) Force Sensitivity: All (Telepathy/Shape-Shifting/Any Other Force Powers...)

Just Keep In Mind: Completely Force-sensitive species may not start off with fully developed Force Powers, unless, they've been bio-engineered like a Sith Spawn to have specific abilities. Kind of like "designer" monster making.

Force Sensitivity: All
Completely Force-sensitive species may not start off with fully developed Force Powers. That is a matter of the individual, not the race. They are born force sensitive, but that is a potential, rather than an absolute. All Force-sensitive species may have passive abilities that do not require training (improved reflexes, low grade pre-cog, etc), but are prohibited from having active abilities (force lightning, telekinesis, etc). Exceptions are made for artificially engineered species (Sithspawn, etc), if they have been tailored for specific abilities. Racial abilities that are not affiliated with the Force (Ex. Zeltron Empathy/Pheromones) are exempted from this. These species should include appropriate weaknesses, such as difficulties with Force Null fields.

5.) History: To anyone who wasn't present for the events you described they'll definitely be a little lost. If you could please provide more detail about the inception of these creatures, that would be most appreciated. It's not mandatory but if you have a few links for the RP you're mentioning that would also be extremely helpful.

Aside from requesting that you sweep the submission to make sure your sentences are completed and that they make sense for what you're trying to convey - That's all I've got for you. If you need help don't hesitate to tag and ask. If you need more time to work on this feel free to respond to this thread with a tag and I can move it to the Pre-Codex for you. Thank you very much!
