Neophytes! The Lot of you! Naga Itesak

Animus was a Knight now... And he knew that the first thing he needed to do as a Knight was take on an apprentice... many came, very few impressed him except one who was with him in not one but Two missions already. He had seen him do... strange things. Animus was unimpressed. He was sitting in the same place he slaughtered all the Acolytes before. Gee Anselm. Pearl of his Rising. Pedestal of His Greatness. This is where it had all begun. He imitated his master [member="Darth Ophidia"] sitting on up of the last siat that lead to the dueling ring.
Meditating one Word....... NagaMakashi

He was here to test his new apprentice on a skill he knew his apprentice Lack, he was here to see if he could become his apprentice at all.... He would not leave this room as he came... Naga found himself not before Animus Malgus..... But Beroe Darth Mythos. Knight of the Sith. If he wanted to become his apprentice. He had to show him he was worthy to be the Pride's pride.

Naga heard this and went to the dueling ring. On his way there he walked over the dead acolytes that littered the ring, He saw animus meditating at the end of the ring. He recognized the human before him he had fought in only two battles with this man but he never forgets a face. when he stopped at the other end of the ring he spoke." You summoned me?"

[member="Darth Mythos"]

Animus rose, undaunted and unmoving. Quickly without a second thought he attacked his would be apprentice with a two handed slice ahead, then he would switch to makashi back again if he had survived the Juyo force slam.
"Are you a sith? "
The room Echoes with the sound of his booming voice slowly being turned into a ring wave of malovance that would make other men mad. Force Augmentation on his voice. It was a Psychological tool. Mythos would not give an inch, if he touched the boy in this initial assault he would move in with a makashi thrust.
"Fight me, or die"
Success or death. It was more than a motto, as Animus used his telekinesis to Blast him back to the fall behind him

Naga quickly activated his lightsaber and barely knocked the saber away before going to punch him in the face with his fist at full force. Nothing but the darkside and adrenaline powered his instincts now and he will beat animus no matter what the cost.
[member="Darth Mythos"]

Animus caught his punch in his hand and used his force lightning to electrocute Naga on the spot.
Never letting go of his fist who laid under his fingers against his strength that Animus was much more adept at the Lighting would pass through the acolyte in a blazing field of pain and agony... Notenought to kill him however. "You lack refinement, you lack skill, and you lack footwork we will begin on that first.

[member="Darth Mythos"] Can tell that the pain that a normal acolyte would have felt from this attack didn't phase naga, However he did back off and nodded at what animus said and tried to mimic the makashi stance as best he could it wasn't the best but that's where refinement came in naga never practiced much in the lightsaber art like he should have. He focused all his life on physical hand to hand and the force and ignored the lightsaber arts...Typical rookie mistake one that he should've known would've come to bite him in the end. He attacked Mythos with several quick swings at his side hoping that it would do something. He was poking at his defense a bit trying to analyze his stance and learn from it and mimic where ever he could

Animus did a simple riposte after blasting his apprentice with a small controlled burst of force lightning. He seemed to defend to quite well to it as where others fell in agony and pain. Stepping off and matching his blows he lowered his speed and twirled to a slice at his legs.

Quick as lightning Force Augmentation, Mythos came sinde and slashed at his abdomen various times and ended with a 90 degree slice from top to bottom "Gallantry, Style and Elegance. "

He stepped back, ignoring if his apprentice had any wounds or if he was head while walking away giving him his back. "This is makashi, footwork is it's essential key to makashi, you are fighting as what my Master would call an Oxibeast and as much as i can relate, Makashi it's antithesis. "
Animus words came accompanied with relentless fury and focused eyes. His movements were precise and the angles were straight allowing no curves.

A long thrust and a swing of his saber then another thrust and step back. Makashi demanded distance and the thrust and point was the essence of it.

While naga did have some cuts from [member="Darth Mythos"]'s attack he still showed no signs of pain where as most would. It was as if pain had abandoned naga along time ago. But naga made note of animus's words. He saw Mythos's stance and copied it to the best of his abilities, And started striking at animus with short thrusts and backed away and repeated the process while moving around Mythos offering no opening for mythos to move in on while constantly poking at animus with simple thrusts and back up like the duels of old with simple swords.

Animus noticed that every blast he shot naga with seemed to cause him no pain, or at least, none that he showed Mythos... This was good, the high tolerance to pain will give you an Advantage, however it will also impede you from thinking when you need to back up.

Noticing that his footwork was beginning to improve Mythos was eager to step up the speed just a little bit, His thrusts were improving... But still sloppy. As one particular bad balanced Thrust came at him,
Mythos executed a Riposte, stepped to the right and slashed at his chest and legs. Then Stepped back to an Open guard style, His hand stretched out to the side in a perfect angle to his shoulder. A Homage to [member="Darth Pyrrhus"] and he spoke.

"Footwork is important yes, everything drives from it n makashi but never think your opponent has no opening. The Angle of your blade is what will make up for the lack of Power in Makashi."

Animus dove in again with an Elongated Thrust and then flicked his wrist to bring it behind naga's saber.

Naga blocked animus's attack and noticed the speed was picking up so he responded in kind with several thrusts and ripostes. Naga saw animus dive in for another thrust and jumped to the side and slashed at his chest twice with his saber before backing up. He aimed to harm not kill like he normally would for this. But soon he would no longer hold back against [member="Darth Mythos"] he was fighting to live not to play around with a knight.

Animus expected as much, a Slash with makashi and a good one at that. Thrusting all he had to do was step back and flick his wrist so the thrust of naga would pass through the outside of the blade.
It was then Mythos Smiled in glee as the Opening as as Clear as daylight.

His elbow was pointing at Naga and when his leg stepped back, it stepped back in with a Kick to his kneecap aiming to shatter it. Then his lightsaber would come back from where it was in a sly Arc over his face destined to Naga's chest.... Foolish Acolyte. He held back, Against a Knight. He would learn never to do that Again as Mythos was going to make him pay for underestimating him.

If the slash did not cut off both of his hands Animus would slam his shoulder into his chest and begin a Makaish balanced rotation upon his of left and right slashes before backing up and assessing the injuries his Acolyte would have. Animus picked up the speed just a little bit, he was still much faster than he was showing... but he wanted to teach him the basics first.... if he had hands after this.

Naga quickly leaped back from animus only getting a slight burn from his saber on his arm. where he wouldve lost his hands if he didnt, Ok time to take the gloves off. He activated both his sabers and then lunged at mythos swinging down with one arm and swing up in a scissor motion to animus going at his chest again. He isnt going to let animus beat him in this one...

[member="Darth Mythos"]

His Apprentice Leaped back and got burned yet again, Another injury for the light. Animus had not begun to unleash half his speed yet his apprentice seemed to be learning. This time he activated two sabers, his first mistake. Makashi was not about Two sabers, it was a single saber technique. Mythos raised his eyebrow at the unpredictability of his moves, but he adjusted well shiting the balls of his feet and stancing to Shi-cho.

Animus simply executed a Sarlacc Strike STepping back to disarm a single blade and engage back in a thrust to his exposed elbows as he tried to Scissors maneuver. Back to Makashi he was quick and precise. Three more thrusts to his insides and then a counter riposte to his knee. "Makashi is a single bladed technique"
Mythos began to feel the heat and pressure of combat, but his Apprentice was much more spent due to his acrobatics.

He blocked most of the thrusts but got a scratch of the lightsaber on his chest. He was adapting quickly to animus, Drawing off the dark side here to keep him going He kept his makashi stance. It was slowly starting to match [member="Darth Mythos"]'s stance every time, He was quick to adapt and learn. Mostly from example mind you but he learned either way. He re took his stance and started doing thrusts at his armas well as a riposte at his legs.

Mythos was aware this was no duel, this was a training session and [member="Naga Itesak"] was doing a marvelous job at keeping up. Now Mythos quickened up the pace and began executing more complex maneuvers. "Your eyes, on your opponent's feet and shoulders and there is nothing you wont see coming"

Naga's wounds were severe by now, he sported now a vast array of slashes that numbered almost a dozen yet he kept fighting. Mythos loved this. Slashing at his exposed Elbow and his wrists keeping his distance he was now going to show Naga what slow, methodical damage was capable of doing. "Use force Augmentation on your limbs to help your speed and Skill"

Mythos did exactly that, countering his attacks with double the speed and thrusting at every weak point at a safe distance as if he was dancing. Death was just a step away as he stepped in with two vertical slashes and the stepped out with a counter riposte wearing Naga down slash by slash. Twirling and dancing around him with odd angles then perfect thrusts from a distance without lunging.

By the end he would lie wounded and defeated but in exchange he would be a great Makashi lightsaber duelist.... in an Adept lvl. Which was the Goal after all.

Naga despite being plagued with injuries from top to bottom still stood [member="Darth Mythos"] could tell that despite his injuries he kept to his feet which shows naga has a incredible threshold for pain. Naga knew that despite his injuries he know knew adept level Makashi which furthered his evolution in the long run by slowly mastering the physical and the force it self... He stood straight as if those injuries he had were never there but they where indeed visible. " Anymore my master?'' He asked breathing heavily from exhaustion yet still had the energy to keep going.

"I thought you'd never ask!" Without hesitation Mythos gave Naga a gift in the form of concentrated force lightning. The blast coming from his hand extended when the apprentice had lead his guard down giving a satisfied sound as it crashed into his apprentice.

Not even bothering to look back he shouted at his apprentice. "Do it." While he removed his cloak and showed him his bare chest. "show me that you are worthy of my teachings." he dropped his saber to the ground and started laughing maniacally. When Mythos had this exact moment with his Master he had refused to blast his master in return... Honor was something he did not want to seep into his apprentices, it was a weakness [member="Darth Ophidia"] had done well to point out. "Do it! Get Up! and Blast Me! Show me that you are not Weak" he shouted with an unforeseen and strange sounding Fury.

He was sure it would come however... He knew [member="Naga Itesak"] dud not share his passion for Honor and 'Playing Fair'

The pain from [member="Darth Mythos"]'s lightning attack surged through his body and his body convulsed and spazzed out for abit from the lightning but he only got down at one knee. He felt the power and lighting started the surge through his hands and naga lifted his hand towards mythos and a blast of lightning would surge forth and strike Mythos into the chest.

Mythos took the blast with sick, twisted joy landing on his back a few meters to the back and enjoying the smell of burnt flesh and clothing that now riddled the room from both their bodies. "That wa-" Mythos coughed the smoke away while he got up from his less than graceful landing "Quite well done" He laughed while clapping in his way up, shaking off the massive current from his body.

"The training session is done now..." Mythos looked at Naga and realized his Wounds were much more serious than he initially thought. "Let's get you in a bacta tank or if you would prefer i will send a clean up crew if you can't walk" He smiled and nodded in approval. Satisfied he turned and walked out.
