STANDARD FEATURES

ADVANCED SYSTEMS

N/A

Strengths:
  • Small bow-on or astern profile
  • Ability to drop heavy ordnance
  • Ability to fire along virtually any arc
  • Ability to resist conner nets and EMPs
  • Heavy defenses
  • Ordnance modularity (Standard configuration): one Guernica can fit ordnance different from the second Guernica
  • Unlimited ordnance (Endurance configuration)
Weaknesses:
  • Slow compared to fighters
  • Short-ranged hyperdrive
  • Large topside or underside target
  • Exposed forward ball turret
  • Limited ordnance (Standard configuration)
  • Slow rate of ordnance fire (Endurance configuration)
Description: The Neimoidian Gunship-II saw very limited use because of its lack of ability to penetrate interdictor fields, and there were still old unsold Neimoidian Gunships (Blocks I and II) at the end of the process, especially since the high maintenance requirements were a big turnoff. With the new improvements that reduce maintenance requirements, as well as two ordnance configurations, the Block III Neimoidian Gunships promise an increase from a squadron size of 6 to a squadron size of 8. Nevertheless, additional speed came at the cost of a low carrying capacity for ferrying, and also short hyperdrive range.

- Cargo hold: 40 tons
- Passengers: 8
- Consumables: 3 weeks
- Crew: 3 (but 1 is minimal)
- Hyperdrive range: 5,000 light-years

ADVANCED SYSTEMS HIMS
HIMS commonly aren't found on small, mass-produced ships. I'd like to hear a little bit more elaboration about the capabilities of this device and what specifically is being used as a tradeoff for this system's inclusion on this vessel.
