Needs More Dakka

In any other situation, Larraq would have probably decked the Mando'ad for destroying a 200,000 credit prototype. But @[member="Basaba Willamina"] would have probably killed him on the spot and he was too distracted by the young engineer's statement. "She found a what!? How big a deposit are we talking about here? Can you confirm it?" Spattered Larraq as he ignored the others in the room and focused on the young engineer in the corner.

After a few moments of polite conversation with the scientists and engineers, Larraq left them all with instructions to build a second prototype and to work out the flaws that had been in the first model. His attention was now firmly focused on the asteroid Basaba had nearly cleaved in two with high speed projectiles. Depending on how large of a vein of crystals she had uncovered, Larraq could stand to make billions of credits in the next few hours of prospecting.

Basaba looked at the man and was smirking while they were going to work. Her job done it seemed or at least until they had a second weapon to fire. Hopefully this one with less bugs.. That would be a plus while she leaned against a wall and spoke. "So what would you like to do while we wait?"

"We're not waiting." Larraq said to @[member="Basaba Willamina"] as the young engineer showed him the computer's estimations of the vein she had uncovered. "We're going top-side and leading the recovery of those crystals ourselves." Larraq added as he turned and walked towards the elevator. This entire complex was stocked with all the supplies needed for a minor mining operation. It was a far cry from the handful of Concordance-class ships he had intended to deploy in this area, but it would be enough for now. With a few choice words spoken into his communicator, he ordered the top-side staff to prepare a number of shuttles and mining droids for immediate deployment.

Basaba smirked liking the idea and getting her helmet as she set it on and sealed it up. Letting the hud come back online as she moved to join the captain and head up to get the crystals. This was a nice find, something they could use for things while she spoke checking her crushgaunts and equipment. "Alright lets head up and get it."

A few minutes of riding an elevator later and Larraq and @[member="Basaba Willamina"] were standing in the middle of a hanger where six Shantual-class Cargo Shuttles were being loaded with dozens of Ogre II Mining Droids, Modular General Labor Droids, and MTX D-Type Loader Droids. Nearby, twelve AT-MP Mining Vehicles were being prepped as well. The large mining vehicles were far too big to fit within the cargo shuttles, but the short range repulsor systems and maneuvering thrusters built into the vehicle would be enough to get them from the surface of this asteroid to the surface of the nearby asteroid they would be traveling to.

As the dozens of men in void suits and beskar'gam prepared to deploy to the new mining site, Larraq donned one of the many void suits that lined the walls of the hanger. By the time all was said and done Larraq, Bassaba, and dozens of Hyperion Mining employees were on their way to the asteroid that Bassaba had nearly cleaved in two.

Basaba moved, she was ready for being in space and had her armor sealed with a grin underneath. Looking at the rocks while the other droids and ships did as needed. She was prepared to get as much as they could. It could prove useful in the long run while they build up a second prototype to fire off. She was ready to test that and looked for Larraq while she kept going. Switching her helmet over to the filter mostly outward. Internally she could talk to the others.

As the shuttle neared to asteroid, Larraq could clearly see the line of potmarks that had marred the face of the asteroid before clustering around a single area and drilling a sizable hole into the depths of mountain of rock and metal. What surprised him the most was that he could see the sheen of stygium crystals from here. They seemed to almost glow blue at the bottom of the hole @[member="Basaba Willamina"] had made.

"All personnel, secure that site and begin extraction on the double. I want that vein hauled in before customs has a chance to find out about it and start lobbying taxes." Larraq said over a closed frequency to his well paid employees.

Over the next few hours Larraq personally monitored the operation as the crews dug into rock and delicately removed crystal after crystal from the asteroid. A small convoy of small drones and haulers moved hundreds of pounds of crystals from the surface of the asteroid to the waiting shuttles nearby. As far as Larraq cared, they might as well have been hauling money into the shuttles. Glancing down at his datapad, he ran the current market value again and calculated it by the current estimated tonnage of material gathered. He knew he was counting his eggs before they hatched here, but he couldn't help it.

Rygel Larraq had just made a whole lot of money.
