Need.... Bacta...

Verd Skirata

Fancy flyin' and good fightin' make for a good day
Verd had passed out on the loading ramp to his ship after telling his Z-6 to take him to [member="Armand Temi"]'s clinic on Hapes. This was the only place he trusted with his life in medical matters. He had passed out even as the ship had taken off of Tattooine, not knowing the true extent of his injuries. The front part of his armor was cracked, dented, and had been riddled with shrapnel, his jetpack had exploded, causing the back portion of armor to disintegrate into shrapnel, and burned his back badly, he had torn the ACL in his right knee, but the most noted injury had come from a greatsaber, which had resulted in the loss of his left arm below the shoulder. He desperately needed medical attention, and Armand was the number one man for this. His droid merely followed instructions and contacted the broken man's friend, stating that the circumstances were urgent, and that Verd was going to the clinic and required his oresence ASAP.

The droid, some number of hours, to a day later landed the ship, disreguarding city ordinance directly in front of the clinic on Hapes, Chaos ensues as the loading ramp is lowered with Verd on it.

Armand's friend was in bad shape, that was for sure. Otherwise his droid wouldn't have landed Verd Skirata's ship right in the middle of the Fountain Palace shopping district to the dismay of the city authorities and the Hapan Royal Guards who surrounded the ship, on alert but more curious than anything.

Doctor Temi, wearing his white lab coat and glasses, his assistant Aerona and his medical droid in tow wheeled out a stretcher so that they could help get the Mandalorian Rebel onto it. "Careful," Armand said to the droid as he and the machine gingerly lifted Skirata onto the stretcher. This situation was reminiscent of his recent treatment of Corruck Kazen, but Kazen was able to walk into the clinic. His Mando friend had much more severe injuries. Aerona went off to explain the situation to the Hapan Royal Guards. After she was done, Armand gave her some quick instructions:

"Prepare room 3 for surgery," he said. "Make sure there's enough Cordrazine and Orthostat solution. I don't think that room has been used for an operation in awhile."

He had also called his colleague Dr. Beul to assist with any cybernetic limb replacement. He hoped to get Skirata awake at some point so that he could find out the exact cybernetic limb he was looking for. Then his esteemed mentor would perform the surgery with Armand assisting. As his medical droid began the IV line to give Skirata much needed fluids, he asked the Mandalorian:

"Verd, can you hear me? It's Dr. Temi. Please give me a sign of you can hear my voice."

Verd when he was disturbed from the position he was laying in on his loading ramp, regained partial consciousness. He felt himself being wheeled into the clinic, seeing only the blurr of lights, and hearing a voice occasionally. He felt the Intravenus needles entering his arm faintly. He then heard the voice of [member="Armand Temi"] asking if he could hear him. He moved his hand as much as he could. He knew he was severely dehydrated from the trip that he had just taken, unable to move from the position at the time. his throat was too dry for him to speak, the movement would have to do.

Armand saw Verd's hand move and he patted it reassuringly. The Mando was in good care now, but he wasn't out of the woods by any means. Doctor Temi might have to make decisions on his behalf if he wasn't conscious enough to.

The group made their way into room 3 and Aerona and the 21-B prepared for the surgery, removing pieces of armor, hooking Verd up to a heart monitor and beginning to administer bacta to other heinous wounds.

"Dr. Beul will be here in five minutes," said Aerona grimly.

"That's fine. Where's his droid? You, come over here," he ordered to Skirata's droid. "Your Master cannot speak right now so I need to ask you. What type of limb does he want? A bio-implant or a cybernetic limb?" As he waited for the answer, he began scrubbing up for the operation in a nearby refresher.

"I given his preferences, I believe he would want a better replacement than biological tissue." The droid said. "I believe there are a couple blueprints and such on his ship. He had them made up as a precaution in case he had ever lost a limb. The droid then said, "If you will excuse me, I will go download them to my memory core so that I can display them." and waddled off coming back with the blueprints a couple minutes later.

He walked in a very droid-like manner back into the room not with blueprints alone, but a working prototype that looked as though it was a fully funchioning cybernetic arm. The droid then stated, "While I was looking for the blueprints, I saw that he had already constructed the arm." The droid left the datapad and the arm on [member="Armand Temi"]'s workspace, out of the way and left to move the starship away from its current position, which was angering the hapan officials.

Aerona helped Dr. Temi tie his hair back and put on his surgical mask as he wanted to keep his hands sterile. There was no time for other protection. They needed to operate fast.

"Oh good, here's Dr. Beul. On the workspace there are the specifications for the cybernetic limb. I'll begin the anesthetic and prepping the area for the surgery." Dr. Beul was a pretty Hapan woman as most of the female species and she nodded sagely examining the datapad. Armand added a standard anesthetic to Verd Skirata's line. He tried his best to stay professional but it pained him to see his friend in such a wounded state. He would make sure that after the recovery period was complete for his new limb, he would treat the other injuries as well.

Dr. Beul came over with the standard part of the cybernetic replacement which as a specialist in that type of surgery would have in her office. "The rest of the specifications are unique and I'm going to have to special order these. We'll have to do the surgery in two parts, I'm afraid."

"That's okay." Armand examined Skirata's vital signs. "He's starting to stabilize now. As long as the material order isn't delayed too much, he will probably be fine. I may even be able to bring him to consciousness and work on the other injuries while we wait."

And with another nod from Dr. Beul they wordlessly began the delicate surgery.

Verd Skirata was out for the count. There was no waking up from the sheer exhaustion. The bed felt so good, and soft, compared to the ship's loading ramp, that there was nothing that could keep him awake. He fell into some of the deepest sleep he had experienced in days as pain relief medications seemed to annihilate the amounts of pain he had been experiencing. There would be no waking him up for a long while and not even [member="Armand Temi"]'s poking and prodding could disturb him
