Government: Nedjiv was once ruled by the Pirate Clans of the Blue Star Pirates, with the Captains of the clans forming a council which ruled over all elements of life on the Ocean World. Promotion to the rank of Clan Captain came via Dead Man's Boots. The judicial section of the government was almost non-existant, with most crimes being resolved between perpetrators and victim via duels, facility a rule of the strong and/or sneaky. This government fled during the Fall of Nedjiv and the world is currently ungoverned.

Population: Nil, previously varied depending upon movements of the clans but up to 10,000

Major Imports: Prior to fall Nedjiv imported non-aquatic food products (meat, wheat), liquor, luxuries, technological components to facilitate repair of pirate vessels.
Major Exports: Prior to the fall, Nedjiv served as a key base for the Blue Star Pirates. As a result, the spoils of raids, including credits, jewels and slaves, were often distributed between the clans there. Fish.
Affiliation: No allegiance.

Major Locations:

Blue Star Constellation - The largest chain of islands on the planet (consisting of sixteen actual islands, two atolls and a significant number of sand banks), many of which are substantially larger than other islands on the planet, This archipelago was the primary inhabited region on the planet, and included the following locations;

Clanner's Isle – Twice as large as the next largest island on the entire planet at approximately 300 kilometres square, Clanner's Isle once served as the headquarters for the Pirate Clans on the world. The entire island was divided between a substantial secondary spaceport facility, capable of landing multiple Action V sized transports, and a small town of prefabricated structures which served as the planetary hub. As with all settlements on the world, it was annihilated when Nedjiv fell and was not reconstructed by Omni, leaving the island a verdant field of greenery stretching between unspoilt beaches.

Justice - The island referred to simply as Justice was one of the smallest in the Constellation, being less than one hundred square feet of beach. Its size and terrain made it unsuitable for much, and it eventually became the traditional (but not obligatory) location for all duels being conducted on Nedjv which, given that duels marked the majority of the justice system on the planet, eventually led to it being named Justice.

The Gleam - Another relatively small island, the Gleam once housed the Pirate's storehouses. Despite the name, the majority of the store contents were food and other such necessities, but the spoils of raids were stored in armoured, heavily guarded stores on the island prior to redistribution amongst the clans, and these naturally caught the interest of the pirates more than foodstuffs, so the name caught on. The Gleam and all its contents were destroyed during the fall, and when Omni reconstructed the world it incorporated the remnants of significant amounts of gemstones into the island, resulting in it being an untapped source of mixed gemstones on a par with a diamond mine.

Spacer's Landing - The second largest island in the chain, the Landing as it was once affectionately known served as the main spaceport location on the planet. Although smaller than Clanner's Isle, the entirety of the Landing was given over to the spaceport and its attendant facilities, resulting in it being the larger of the two spaceports on the planet. As with Clanner's Isle, the landing is now nothing more than an expanse of sand and grass.

The Rec - A large coral atoll, the Rec - short simply for recreation - was one of the areas devoted to providing the pirate clans with recreational facilities, a necessity given that the majority of pirates were of the sort to get into trouble if they were not entertained.

Culture: Long ago, Nedjiv was ruled by pirate clans who operated under the premise of might makes right - whoever had the strength, or the guile to ally themselves with those who had strength - made the rules. This led to exactly the sort of culture one might imagine; the strong controlled the weak and the helpless, with justice meted out by blade or blaster on Justice, the duelling island. Slavery was rife, along with the other sins one might imagine from a world of pirates where women and men were held captive. Trade was done primarily on a basis of barter, with raiding spoils becoming the defacto currency.

Technology: Previously, the planet was on par with galactic standard. It is now uninhabited.

History:
An out of the way planet beyond the end of the Corellian Run, Nedjiv has been discovered by more than one spacer in the span of the galaxy, though many of them soon forgot the world once they determined that it was of little strategic worth and had minimal mineral wealth.

Most recently, it was discovered by Bendan Bluesilver, one of the founding members of the alliance of pirate clans known as the Blue Star Pirates, in the years following the Clone Wars. Though based on the crystal world of Ryustlore deep in wildspace, Bluesilver knew that the pirates would need other bases in the galaxy lest they lead their enemies back to their base. Thus it was that he quickly set about establishing a base upon the watery world. Utilising slave labour, the pirates were able to construct an impressive settlement upon the island they dubbed Clanner's Isle fairly quickly, and as the settlement grew it began to find more and more clans were frequenting it, bringing their wealth with them and enabling Nedjiv to grow still more. Soon, a second spaceport was built upon another island within the primary chain to meet the burgeoning requirements of the world, and vast storehouses were constructed on a nearby island to house the fruits of their vile labours.

As time passed, Nedjiv continued to prosper, eventually becoming the key staging and rallying post of the Blue Star Pirates. A network of repair and maintenance shipyards, suitable for the Corvette and occasional frigate class vessels the pirates utilised, were constructed in high orbit over the primary chain, and a law was passed by the pirate council that any vessel wishing to travel to Ryustlore must first be examined at Nedjiv to ensure it wasn't being tracked. Thus it was that Nedjiv became a compulsory stop for any who wished to deal with the Blue Star Pirates, though many of those who travelled there did so under guard and in utmost secrecy as the pirates sought to keep their 'clearing world' safe from prying eyes.

Unfortunately for the Blue Star Pirates, their prologned antagonism of the Corporate Sector Authority led the CSA to despatch one of their agents, Kal Strife, to infiltrate the Pirate Clans and discover the location of Nedjiv. Though this was no simple task, and required many months in deep cover amongst the scum of the galaxy, Kal was eventually able to determine the location of the planet and, upon assuming control of the Authority, led a combined fleet of Corporate and Imperial vessels against the world. Confronted with dozens of Star Destroyers and lesser vessels including Interdictor cruisers, the pirates could do little but fight to the death. Once the pirate fleet was destroyed, Strife turned his attention on the world itself, destroying the orbital facilities and bombarding the world itself until the settlements were glassed and the oceans and atmosphere had boiled away.

In the wake of the attack, the Blue Star Pirates abandoned Nedjiv and the galaxy soon came to forget it once more. However, its existance was still noted in some databanks, and when the AI Omni embarked on its self assigned quest to rebuild the shattered worlds of the galaxy Nedjiv was included amongst the worlds the deranged AI restored. Yet despite that the world remained forgotten to most, and not a soul has stood upon its surface since the long darkness.

Notable PCs: Kal Strife was previously an occupant upon this world during his infiltration of the Blue Star Clans.

Intent:
Five intentions, noted in order of importance:
To establish a key location from Kal's past.
To provide a catalyst for future character development.
To provide a potential location for a minor corporation.
To expand upon Wild Space.
To provide a minor source of gemstones.
