STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:

Diagnostics - Ned's upbringing around machinery of all different types, although mainly broken, have led him to having excellent diagnosis skills when it comes to looking at something and judging what the issue is.

Maintenance - Along with his ability to generally tell what is up with something, he is extremely skilled in fixing and modifying almost anything electronic, from datapads to spaceships and pretty much everything in-between.

Loquacious - He doesn't know when to shut up. Having lived his entire life on spaceships Ned hasn't developed the most amazing people skills, he talks. A lot. The issue is he talks about things most people don't understand, regurgitating jargon that most folk just don't understand. It also frustrates him that they don't understand.

Fiddler - He cannot keep still. Whether it's a tapping foot, a shaking leg or constructing and deconstructing small objects Ned has to be doing something, its a habit that can lead him to annoying people again with no understanding of why they are annoyed.

Sheltered life - Having spent all of his life on a spaceship of somekind Ned has had very little dealings with anything other than the ships crew or the odd spaceport. This makes him potentially awkward around strangers but also means he doesn't really have a grasp on the finer issues in the galaxy, his main issue is keeping the ship he is on in the air. He doesn't feel at home unless he's on a spaceship.

Hoarder - One man's trash is another man's treasure - a mantra that Ned lives his life by. As a consequence of this his quarters are always a mess, filled with things he's recovered from scrap piles.

Untidy - Due to his lifestyle and bad habits, Ned is rarely seen without some form of oil or dirt on him, he's not dirty so to speak, he just always seems to be covered in something - the joys of tinkering with things for a living.

Money - Ned isn't great at saving. Whenever he has spare money it is constantly going on tools or more crap items for him to fix. He's also not great at getting the amount he should for the items he does sell - this in part is down to the fact he's a sucker for a sob story.

APPEARANCE:
Ned is of average height standing a smidge under 6'0 he is also quite slim. The build he has allows him to fit into reasonably small spaces to carry out any work necessary on large machinery. He has brown eyes and black hair and generally has oil or some other sort of dirt/paint marks on his face and clothing. His hands are rough and full of callouses due to the nature of his job/hobby. If he was to scrub up a bit Ned would be considered handsome but his overall appearance is scruffy.

BIOGRAPHY:
Ned was born on a spaceship. Which one he isn't sure, him and his father have lived on so many he has lost count. The reasoning behind these moves vary however, the returning one was that the ship was just too far gone to sustain. Ned's father was a brilliant mechanic, capable of fixing things others believed to be completely irreparable, a trait he has passed down to his son. The pair spent countless hours together fixing all kinds of things, from datapads and blasters to the very ships they survived on.

Ned's mother died in childbirth, she was an incredible woman according to his father, kind and loving, but she wouldn't be walked over despite their lack of money or standing in the galaxy. Her death nearly destroyed Ned's father, but the little bundle that she had brought into this world saved him. It was said that the reason his father would lock himself and Ned away to tinker with things was to distract from thinking too much about that painful loss.

Ned and his father still have an incredible relationship, both men are incredibly alike and share the same love of fixing things. Ned has however left his father's protection and has worked on numerous ships of vary sizes, mainly as a ship mechanic, but he's had a few differing roles in such things as droid maintenance and scrap man - a role that has definitely spilled over into his private life. The quarters on his current ship include a bed, a wardrobe, a bathroom and a workbench, a small section of flooring leading to each of those areas and an incredible amount of items in varying stages of repair. Ned has an inability to say no when it comes to fixing things, a trait some would take advantage of, he's a sucker for a sob story and isn't great at getting the amount of credits he should do for the work he puts in. He is however comfortable.

Ned knows his way around many weapons, mainly due to tinkering around with them, he has a collection of modified weapons that he has as keepsakes however he will sell these from time to time to make ends meet. He is by no means a brilliant shot/swordsmen, he's had very little chance to actually use his items.

In a quest to further expand on his life experiences Ned joined up with the Verge Flotilla where he resides on one of their capital ships, The Tears of Taloraan. Ned hasn't been with the Flotilla long but has been called into action on occasion to keep the fleet in space, one of his more memorable moments was dealing with a fire on the starboard sublight engine onboard the Tears with Rance Draysom, Fleet Marshall, his work on that issue earned him the trust of the man in charge of supply and demand on the fleet, therefore cementing him as an integral member of the crew.

SHIP:
He doesn't have a personal ship, he is a crew member on The Tears of Taloraan

ITEMS:
Ned has an incredible amount of tools, varying from wrenches to welders and pretty much everything in-between, this is where most of his money goes. He also has an enormous amount of what some would refer to as rubbish - bits of broken droids, blasters, vibro blades - the list goes on, if you need it chances are Ned has it in some stage or other.

KILLS:
None - other than short circuiting a few droids earlier in life

BOUNTIES COLLECTED:
Absolutely no chance of this happening unless you count that bounty droid he fixed for that guy....
