Necropolis [Jedi Mission]

Boz Pity - The dead of night

BozPityconcept.jpg
Mission Name: Necropolis
Mission Location: Boz Pity
Mission Difficulty: Very Hard
Mission Objective: Capture outpost and call in reinforcements before enemy strike team

The stealth envoy glided through Boz Pity's atmosphere; veiled beneath Kiskla's projected illusion and it's own mechanical defences to give the Jedi ultimate shadow advantage. The councillor of reconciliation stood clutching to the overhead in the stealth shuttle deployed by The Republic. Apparently there were some less than desirable individuals planet-side that were hindering advancement.

As usual, the Master's lithe frame was clad in black; which assisted in the stealth demanded for this mission. On her person were four lightsabers; two strapped to her thighs and two against her lower back. A utility belt filled with nano-explosives also hung on her hips. A communicator was on her right arm to call for reinforcements once the situation had been evaluated. Casually, her light gaze drifted over the individuals that would accompany her to the penetration point. A knight and a Padawan. Between the three of them, they had the Jedi hierarchy on lock. The Padawan herself was apparently student to her own former learner; Antares Windu. She still mentored him. As for Alexander Graves, she knew he was a helpful member of The Order, and involved himself where he could.

There was a slight sway to the ship as the cabin's overhead lights switched to red; indicating they were landing and deployment was immanent.

For someone so talkative usually, she was relatively stoic when it came to her operative work. Especially when she was the senior on the group; in experience, if not age. It was curious, how much she'd seen in such little time --- and how much more there was still to explore.

"The compromised outpost is few miles beyond the dropping." Kiskla spoke, her muscles tense as she remained standing while the ship lowered, hovering two meters above the ground. The latch sealing the airlock the three Jedi habited dropped, and Kiskla released her hold and advanced toward it. She would see the other two Jedi out, and be the last to drop.

"Knight Graves, you're first." He was a capable knight, throwing a Padawan into the planet would be stupid; even if she did exert a protective bubble over them as she had done on Korriban.

A covert operation, just like the ones that he loved.

Since the corellian was a former military marksman, tasked with several missions to assasinate, provide intel and also to perform recon runs around perimeters without being seen; he thought that going back to his roots for a bit would be highly beneficial... besides, the mission requires the skills that he had.

Seated in the covert shuttle with Master Grayson and a Padawan he don't remember seeing, the man remained as calmed as possible; just like a Jedi should be... however, he didn't look like a Jedi. Dressed in his Covert 7 suit, a sniper rifle in his back and his military googles on top, he looked like any other Sniper Commando from the Republic, but in his belt, a cilinder-like item that gave him away as a Jedi hung loose: his lightsaber.

The voice of the Master of the Council could be heard clearly in the transport as she announced the arrival to the drop point. With a single command, she instructed the Jedi Knight to drop from the transport inmediately and to wait for the arrival. "Yes ma'am" said the Knight while he remembered his military days before joining the Order.

It actually goes without saying, but as soon as he lands, he had to make sure that there were no enemies around and to secure the area for the rest of the team to arrive... using the Force as his ally, the young man jumped from the transport to the ground and used his control in telekinesis over himself to stabilize and to land properly.

Landing in a kneeled position, the young man quickly took his sniper from his back and aimed at his surroundings... once again, enhancing his senses and stretching his perception as much as he could, he looked in a 360° degree angle with the scope on "Matilda", and once he knew everything was ok, he raised his right hand and gave a thumb up... through the comm, he whispered softly but determined as any other soldier "All Clear"

At that moment, the young man waited for the arrival of the next Jedi who would most likely be the Padawan that came with them. Patiently, he just waited...

Carona Totsari

It takes true strengh to turn the other cheek
Most new Padawans were dying to get out and get their young hands dirty. Most Padawans wanted nothing more than to prove themselves worthy by charging into battle and coming out the hero.

Well, that was MOST Padawans...

... As usual, you could count Carona Totsari as the ugly duckling of the group. Carona wanted anything BUT having to charge into battle with her lightsabers swinging! Carona would have been more than happy to stay at the Jedi Temple, meditate, and learn a new Force ability. However, it wasn't going to be that way now.

Carona and two other Jedi had been assigned to help take over an enemy base before the enemy even got there. It sounded like an intimidating quest to the young Padawan, but orders were orders...

She had been ordered to come in right after the Jedi knight. Having a much more experienced Jedi come in before her was relieving.

As Carona skillfully used the Force to land, she saw how quiet it was. It was so dark out, it brought her old, dumb childhood fear of the dark come back to her for a second. She quickly ran over to the Jedi and tapped his shoulder, giving him a nod that addressed that the anxious apprentice was ready for the next move. Carona knew that getting into the outpost, in the dark, would be rather hard given that Carona was mute. She didn't yet know telepathy so unless he was willing to take moments to sort her body language out who knew how badly things would turn out to be...

Kiskla held onto the frame of the hatch while both under her supervision puled out. Unfortunately, they were limited in their resources when it came to capital, however with more individuals on the team it would jeopardize their element of surprise. Their team hadn't been opportunistic either, apparently Knight Graves had a strong history as a competent soldier, and the young Padawan was both silent and effective with her machinations. Kiskla lead them because of her dedication to completion. Every decision she made concerned meeting an objective.

Vexander hit the ground, and immediately went to work. Then, with slight hesitation the Padawan followed suit. Before depature herself, she leaned back to pass a message on to the pilot via one of the escorts soldiers "Keep a low curl on your way out and avoid radar detection. They will not hesitate to obliterate. We'll message you and the ship once we've confirmed the outpost's location." There was a flutter to her overcoat as she leapt from the carrier to the ground, landing with practiced ease. Her senses were alert and she expanded her field of responsibility beyond the trio.

What met them on the ground were skulls of the former indigenous, and large curling cliffs. Fog curled about their feet and was both an advantage and a hindrance when it came to visibility. With a wave of her hand, Kiskla indicated that their bodies should get closer to a structure rather than be the only free-standing things in the field. A few meters ahead, were ancient temple ruins where there would be more cover and it would be easier for them to move undetected.

The movements of the Jedi Master indicated that she was an experienced fighter... which was actually good... usually, some Jedi had the perception that members of the Jedi Council were investigators, diplomats, teachers and that they didn't look at action at all. But that prove them wrong.

With complete stealth, the young man followed to the ruins, and placed his back in one of the walls while he checked the rear... as a soldier, he always covered the rear of the team, such position usually allowed him to provide backup and coverfire along with support at the situation.

The young man noticed that the young Padawan was being left behind... and in fact, he haven't heard a word from her so far... perhaps she was too afraid and nervous... and he wouldn't blame her; their mission was sensitive and any sound would be a pain, they had to be just like shadows... Vex's speciality.

Placing some room between himself and Master @[member="Kiskla Grayson"], he signaled the girl with his hand to join them, and to hold that position until the Master provided further information, he also proceeded to talk over the comm almost whispering once again "We follow Master Grayson, I cover the rear, stay sharp kid" at that moment, Vex just waited patiently.

One thing Kiskla had to work on, was expanding her ability to care about those that travelled with her. She was used to working alone, or with those who were learning from her to defend themselves; or those that could already defend themselves. It was keen of Knight Graves to be aware of the demand for guidance on the Padawan's behalf as Kiskla's attention was divided on making sure there wasn't even a flinch in the darkness that would bring harm upon the party.

There was a horrible, desolate feeling about this planet that pained Kiskla for the Padawan. Many were buried beneath these soils, and although they were dead she could feel their weight in The Force. However, that was because she was acutely aware of the breath that surrounded her; perhaps the Padawan hadn't reached that level yet. Nor had the Knight.

Her slender frame approached the ruins first, and tentatively, she crept up the steps and against the walls. She wondered if there would be paths within the temple that they could cut through, that would save them from their walking about in the open. If it were herself, she would delve into the deep without consideration -- but there could be unknowns in there.
But out here, left them exposed to scouts.
Slowly, the fingertips of her gloves glowed against the darkness; dimly under her control as she reached into the darkness of the temple. The dim light spread about the shadows and ignited the entrance for her to see. Quickly, she curled her fingertips into her palm and stepped inside, insisting that the others followed her unless they had other suggestions.

Oh Force, why?

Carona had been shocked to have been placed ahead of the Jedi Knight, but orders were orders... She keot as quite as she could, her small size leading to less notable sounds of footsteps. She had just kept going through the darkness up until they reached the outpost. The Jedi Master, master Grayson, led them into a crumbling tunnel. Carona blinked in the vast darkness of the cave, she stopped and looked up at the knight again. Carona could not continue on like this.

Just like the Force radiated around her during her meditations, it seemed as if worry and doubt was radiating from the togruta's body. Carona for once did something without asking first and stepped behind the other two Jedi. She used the Force to reach out, searching for anything outside the other Jedi that were living. She could sense nothing. Carona let out a sigh of relief, knowing that now her idea was safe, and activated one of her green shortos for a light.

There was an eering feeling in the place, and it seemed that all of them could sense the same situation since the Force was linking them all together.

From time to time, Vex proceeded to look at the back with his sniper just in case. Still, nothing could be seen... and when that happened, the Knight extended his perception with the help of the Force, probing, gathering information and making sure that at least they had their backs clear.

Silence was actually quite comfortable, the Knight had a lot of affinity with the lack of sounds... it allowed him to remain focused, hear dangers and remain on high alert without distraction... besides he just lacked in social skills... still, he tried.

Whispering silently, the corellian checked on the little padawan in front of him and behind Master Grayson "You ok there?" asked in a small whisper, knowing that she was most likely scared to death.

It was good that Knight Graves was empathetic to The Padawan's plight. Kiskla had a disconnect with fear, and rarely recognized it - therefore considering the implications it had on another was not in her thoughts.

In a low voice, Kiskla stopped in time for the Padawan to catch up to her. "I would put this away. Your efforts are appreciated, but we don't want to give off our location with a light source." The blonde was very aware that it was dark in the tombs, and the only light were the highlights of crevices from the moon outside.

"Use the force to see. Feel me ahead of you, and Knight Graves behind you. Each stone also carries a signature, recognize those too." With the green light still flooding her features, the corners of her mouth tugged upward reassuringly. She allowed a moments grace before taking a right turn to keep as near to the perimeter as possible.

The windows of the tomb were massive, and the corridors were cavernous. These had been hollowed and created for giants, and Kiskla and company were nothing but ants in comparison.

Fifteen minutes in the tunnels passed before Kiskla felt a throbbing sensation in her temples. It was time to get out.

"Take the nearest exit." Was all she said, as she searched the darkness.

You guys can decide whatever's in the shadows!
Also, don't worry about posting order -- I don't want to hold the activity up! If I'm taking too long, PM me or continue.

Carona Totsari

It takes true strengh to turn the other cheek
[[OOC: sorry about the short post after so long.]]

Carona had been like, flooded with questions. She blinked at the Jedi knight then nodded. With the Force, she would be okay - even if this place creeped her out! Then it seemed as if the Jedi master had read her mind decided to test her faith. She told her to put her lightsaber away and trust the Force to guide them.

Without question Carona deactivated her weapon and reached out with the Force. Her abilities to use the living Force was still raw, but Carona knew it would just take practice. She put her lightsaber hilt on her belt and looked up at the Jedi master again, she hoped that she didn't expect her to take the lead...

The voice of the Jedi Master echoed in Vexander's head. Althought it was just a whisper, his senses were in high alert and that increased his perception range and the way how he could even see. Heeding her words, the corellian Knight opened himself to the Force and paid close attention to the back of the team as they walked further into the shadows of the monumental place.

Perhaps the Force was playing a bit with themselves, or it was just that his perception was too enhanced but... there were movements in the shadows. Looking through the scope wouldn't reveal anything at all... but the fact that something was out there couldn't be overlooked.

Whispering back, reporting about the situation, the Jedi proceeded to reply at the Master on regards of the nearest exit.

"We better get out of here quickly... I have a bad feeling about this..." Vexander looked through his scope one last time and then out of the scope... and he sensed that the movement was increasing a lot "...I am sure we should run now"
