The Naval Intelligence Operations Deck (NIOD) is the operational heart of the Black Vigil SIGINT Suite. Installed aboard Fortan-class vessels, command cruisers, and listening outposts, the NIOD functions as a sealed, dedicated zone for all signal interception, decryption, data routing, and comms warfare.
Outfitted with modular terminals and secure databanks, the NIOD features hotlink interfaces to the CLAS system, passive signals tracked via Hekate, intelligence ops data fed by Whispercell, jamming control through Keid, and command-wide distribution via the Zagreus Comm Uplink.
Its most distinctive feature is the Red Cell Briefing Pit, a circular platform where analysts can gather, project intercepted enemy chatter, or simulate misinformation strategies. This configuration was popularized by SIGINT operations against fragmented galactic powers and pirate enclaves, where fast-decrypt → fast-react doctrines became paramount.
