Classification: Sith-Imperial Citadel

Location: Thule

Affiliation: Darth Prazutis

Description:
A towering effigy of Imperial might and Sith oppression, Narvas Iv Zveris is a fortress constructed in the inhospitable wilds of Thule by the Dark Lord Carnifex shortly after the Great Sith Reclamation of the Stygian Caldera. Featuring high walls, jutting ramparts, and massive battlements, the citadal is an impressive feat of engineering and defensive architecture. The front entrance is guarded by massive gate that can be raised and lowered from a heavily defended operations chamber built several floors above, along with a series of meurtrière manned by automated turrets and organic guardsmen.

Four courtyards surround the actual citadel with the high walls bordering each one, and barracks separating each courtyard manned by fully-equipped garrisons of soldiers and battle droids. Beneath the courtyard are garages that can be accessed via lift, and each garage can hold a number of war machines in the event of an attack upon the citadel. Generally three of these garages hold walkers and tanks, but one was specifically modified to hold starfighters and instead of a lift the courtyard opens up in a manner similar to the ventral hangerbay of a Venator-class Star Destroyer to allow rapid deployment of entire squadrons.

The walls themselves are protected by not only guardsmen who routinely patrol the parapets, but also four dual turbolaser turret emplacements (4) and surface-to-air missile launchers (4). Mobile weapon emplacements can also be set up on the wall at specific points to repel invaders that approach from the ground, and gaps in the wall's shielding ramparts were made intentionally for this purpose.

The citadel itself is the most defensible position because it towers over every other structure around it. True to its exterior design, the interior of the citadel is as militaristic as one can get. Each hallway was designed to be utilized as a choke point in the case of a breach, and three more garrisons are stationed at intervals within the central tower. The pinnacle of the tower is the most inaccessible location as it serves as the private quarters for the King of Thule, and is specifically guarded by Imperial Sentinels and a cadre of Sith known as the Black Knights.

The citadel also features all of the commodities one can expect of a King's castle including several larders, kitchens, dining halls, assembly chambers, dungeons, religious chapels, guest chambers, an entire wing for his immediate & extended family, and a throne room.

History: Once upon a time the Dark Lord Carnifex ruled Thule as King from the Sith temple in Hurom, but was forced to abdicate his throne when the Old Empire fell to the combined incursions of the Mandalorian Clans and the Grand Republic. Many decades passed and the Sith temple was reverted to a place of worship rather than governance, but as the Jedi began to encroach more and more into the Stygian Caldera it attracted the attention of the Sith once again. In an event commonly referred to as the Great Sith Reclamation, a majority of the Jedi influence within the Caldera was eradicated and the Sith returned to safeguard their most hallowed worlds once again. The Dark Lord Carnifex was among those who rallied to the Caldera's defense, and in doing so he forcefully subjugated Thule and reclaimed his former position as King.

Not wanting to reuse the Sith temple for his keep, he instead turned to the untamed and inhospitable wilds of Thule to build his seat of power. He conscripted many of the best Imperial architects, engineers, and strategic minds to build his new citadel. Once completed it was the most fortified structure on all of Thule, and would serve as a reminder to the people of Thule who they served and who protected them from the ignorant tyranny of the Jedi.

Intent: Just reclaimed my title as King of Thule, so I need a snazzy new castle!
