OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Intent
: To act as a base of operations for Ameli, and potential primary residence, particularly as she's looking to establish herself on Nar Shaddaa. Additionally it should serve as a private location to lay low if she gains too much heat.

SETTING INFORMATION
Structure Name
: Nar Shaddaa Luxury Penthouse
Classification: Luxury apartment, private residence
Location: Nar Shaddaa
Affiliation: Ember of Vahl, specifically Ameli Trahir
Accessibility: This residence is private access only. It lies in the middle of civilization, as such a thing is hard to escape on Nar Shaddaa. The security is high, relative to your average apartment. It is found on top of a towering apartment complex. Finding it technically is not hard, though entering it is a matter much more challenging. As the owner of this residence keeps her name secret and her goings private, one might raise the question why anyone would be drawn to this particular abode at all.
Description: This apartment sits on top of one of the many skyscrapers of the Nar Shaddaa skyline. At a glance, whether from ground level or a ship, that is precisely what someone would see. Just another skyscraper blending in with the rest of this particular district. Due to this sector's wealth, majority of the buildings look to be of high quality and standard in general.

This marks the area that sees most general use. If you're a guest, it's likely you will spend most of your time here. It has various comfortable, high quality couches, centred around a holoprojector situated in the middle of the room. This holoprojector's primary function is to serve as a point of entertainment, showing anything from movies, shows, news and the like. It can also be used to receive and transmit calls. There is a bookcase at the back, with tomes, flimsiplast, datachips and other forms of information. It contains a great variety from novels to history of various events of the Galaxy, although anything truly valuable is kept in a different location. Connected to the greater living room is a bar, most of the time fully stocked. There is also a kitchen beyond, although this is perhaps the area that sees the least amount of use. The kitchen, not the bar. Definitely not the bar.

Next to the painting, in-between the bookcases, is a hidden entryway. It aligns perfectly with the wall, but can be opened with a certain pressure applied via the Force. Inside it reveals a library, with a desk at the centre. Here Ameli stores more secretive tomes and sometimes artefacts, pertaining to the Dark Side, the Sith, Sith Alchemy and sorcery in general. This room also doubles as her office.

The master bedroom is more minimalistic, creating a bright and open space with sleek, smooth surfaces without much furniture to take up space. There's a small table next to a double-bed. The dominant colours of the room are white with gold as a secondary, however, the lightning in the room can be changed to give it a different atmosphere. A floating screen connected to the holonet can be switched on and off at will. One side of the wall is entirely an open window out into the Nar Shaddaa cityscape, although the technology within the window allows it to either show a different scene digitally, or match the wall completely. The windows are constructed such that one might look from inside out, but not outside in. Naturally, because Ameli is Ameli, the master bedroom would not be complete without a sizable walk-in closet, to try to contain her personal fascination for fashion and clothing in general.

The apartment also has two guest bedrooms. These are only about half the size of the master bedroom, and do not come with a walk-in closet, though closets are in some way provided.

On the same side of the living room as the entrance to the secret library, there's another secret passage. This one is in the floor, and is similarly activated through the Force. It opens a staircase to the floor below, which is entirely cleared for the use of the penthouse apartment. Most notably, this floor contains a conference room, training facilities and a swimming pool. Next to the conference room there is a single bed, so technically Ameli could spend all her time here without the need to surface to the 'main floor'.

The conference- and training room are one and the same. In the middle of the room there's a glass floor, revealing a table and chairs underneath. In this state the room is quite open. With cabinets along the wall for weapons and equipment. The glass, as well as the room in general, is quite reinforced, and can be used for training, sparring, and experiments of various kinds. Once the table is raised, however, it becomes a fully functioning operations/hq room, with various displays and holo-communicators. Opposite side of the desk there's a long couch along the wall. Surprising no one, Ameli also made sure to have a small bar installed here as well.

There is a room bordering the conference room as well, with reinforced doors. If you're a guest, this is the room you hope to never see, as there are two Force Cages for potential live prisoners. Ameli has a growing fascination for Sith Alchemy and sorcery, and sometimes you need live specimens. This is where she'll conduct those experiments. The room is pretty minimalistic aside from the cages, but there's a table placed inside the wall that can be pulled out.

The request to have an interior swimming pool built in was an expensive one and over the top. However, Ameli went through with it simply because she could, and it sounded cool at the time. The roof projects a near perfect holoprojection of the starry sky above, as it would have been seen from the roof if not for the copious amounts of pollution Nar Shaddaa otherwise provided. Windows align the walls in-between columns, and similarly to the rest of the apartment complex, one can see out but not in. The floor surrounding the pool looks like smooth, glossy wood, and there are various sunchairs lying about despite the fact that you're definitely not getting any sun in here.

SECURITY
High

  • Hidden surveillance cameras: placed at the entry point of the building and apartment, hallways leading to the apartment, and within the apartment itself. Live feed accessible on her private datapad as well as at a station inside the apartment
  • Retina scanner, finger print scanner and password code required to open the reinforced entrance door to the apartment
  • Sensory alarm by the main entrance, as well as all windows
  • Canisters of sleep gas strategically placed in the ventilation system to be deployed either remotely from Ameli's datapad or automatically by triggering the alarm
  • Hidden door to a secret chamber: this is not so much a security measure of its own, as it is a place where she could potentially hide without notice from any who might break in uninvited

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
This luxurious abode was not build for Ameli. It has been around for a while, and only in recent years has it received a renovation and upgrade to properly earn the "luxury" tag to its name. It used to be divided into several smaller apartments, but after the district's rise in wealth it has been forced to evolve. The clientele it caters now lean towards the wealthier sort, and the surrounding area is quite prosperous and private, compared to other zones. Walls were broken down and the apartments were struck together to form one, large penthouse apartment. The apartment lies within the sphere of influence of one Kossak the Hutt Kossak the Hutt , however this Hutt is not directly involved with any purchase or sale of this apartment.

Ameli Trahir bought the property for her own use. It was intended to become one of her many safehouses, but due to its high and extravagant standard it quickly became her favourite, and therefore also primary residence. Despite Ameli's less than legal connections and usual methods, it was bought using proper channels. However at no point was her real name used, only an alias that upon further search would reveal little of interest or out of the ordinary. The credits she managed to cough up through previous connections to crime, her recent dealings with Kossak the Hutt and sale of various Force-imbued artefacts in her possession. It did set her back by quite a lot, and even landed her in debt to the Hutt, however, it was a debt she was intent to get out of sooner rather than later. Making money, these days, had become one of her primary concerns.

After the apartment landed in Ameli's possession, she contacted a private contractor. She wanted to include certain modifications and to make it truly feel like her home. This involved creating a secret chamber, as well as getting a swimming pool installed in the floor below. Additionally, in coordination with a different firm the various security measures of the apartment were installed, either fully, or such that she herself could finish the job at her convenience. Ultimately, the apartment's greatest security measure was its secrecy. Naturally it stood out due to its luxurious standards, but only those permitted by Ameli would see it for what it was from the inside. Add to that that hers was far from the only luxury abode in the area, there was little to make it stand out from the others. She would not advertise her living situation to anyone but her closest friends and allies (read: only Lassiter Lassiter ). Finally, there was nothing official to bind Ameli Trahir's name to the structure.

Hi Ameli Trahir Ameli Trahir !

Great sub! I particularly love the second secret underground apartment/lab for nefarious experiments. I went from thinking Ameli was a sweet innocent bab to a criminal mastermind! I absolutely love it :D There are some really creative and unique ideas in here that seem to suit the character and the vibe you have going for her perfectly. I just have two things.

Image Credit | I really struggled finding an image link for the living room too so the wiki page should be okay! As for the swimming pool, google reveals nothing and tineye was sparse but I did find this link to a flicker account with the image posted and credited as artist unknown. I think that will do in place so if you could edit your image credit to include it that would be great! I've linked it here :)

Links | Please provide a link to
Nar Shadaar, Ameli Trahir and the Ember Vahl wiki here. The template suggests linking to relevant characters, companies and locations. You're welcome to leave them linked into your sub as alongside these.
