SPECIAL FEATURES
Strengths:
Concealed – The blade retracts into the forearm of the wielder and is highly unlikely to be perceived by others without previous knowledge of the weapon.
Songsteel – The blade is highly resistant to lightsaber attacks.
Weaknesses:
Nanites – the blade is held together by nanite/nano technology and can be disrupted by an EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse)
Fragile casing - The blade is housed in and dependent on a prosthetic arm which is made of standard Durasteel and carbon-weave metals.
DESCRIPTION
Fully extended the one inch wide, chisel-tipped blade extends one foot past the fingertips of the prosthetic arm it is integrated into. The blade is contained in a small cylinder within the forearm and upon activation can extend forward or backward (toward the elbow). The Songsteel nano-tech which create the blade create a solid blade immediately after exiting the emitter portion of the mechanism meaning the weapon is fully functional as it extends. When the blade points toward the elbow the tip extends one foot past when bent at a 90° angle.
The blade is activated either by a control chip implanted in the user's head or a manual release button on top of the forearm, and manually closed the same way should the control chip be rendered unusable.
With the weapon being nano-tech there is reserve nano-metal stored in the storage canister should the blade be broken somehow. This canister had enough nano-metal to make two full blades, so once they are broken the blade length will stay as long as the remainder of the blade.
