Description: The H9-type Patrol Corvette is based on the ancient spaceframe of the H-type star yacht. The Nubian Design Collective designed the original, which was then modified to Theed Hangar’s specifications. In the modern era, negotiations with Nubia StarDrive, the Nubian government, and Aurora gave Theed Hangar the rights to manufacture derivatives of the H-type.
The H9’s bodkin-shaped spaceframe houses a compact, versatile armament package and a flexible recon/sensor probe deployment option. Though lightly armed and armored, the H9 can deploy multirange probes on a variety of customs and interdiction missions without exposing itself to unnecessary danger.
Although the H9 has a relatively thin hull, its overall toughness is comparable to other patrol corvettes. Two factors mitigate internal damage through prevention and in-flight repair. Reinforced internal bulkheads reduce internal damage after armor is breached. Advanced repair protocols and a high-end astromech complement allow the H9 to repair moderate amounts of internal damage within the context of a single battle. Obviously this capability has common-sense limits: the H9 can’t turn itself from a hulk to a fully functional ship in minutes, nor can it repair major damage. Still, the H9’s repair capability can largely keep pace with reasonable amounts of component damage, fires, or depressurization, if given the time.
