Arrbi Betna
Marauder

Intent: To create a main line of basic, slugthrower rifles for sale on the open market based on the generic slugthrower rifle Betna has used since thread #1 on this board (AKA, I'm tired of explaining what Betna's rifle is/does and decided to make some profit off of it in the process).

Based off the tried and true rifle made originally by Arrbi Betna as a teen, the Myrkr Rifle shows just how rugged a rifle can be. Named after the unfriendly-to-Forcers planet, Myrkr, and and made from the Olbio tree that grows on the planet, the rifle shows just how unfriendly it can be with an 8mm round and a long reach. Able to reach out to about five hundred meters without a scope and with a steady hand, the weapon has excellent knockdown power for its size and very good accuracy for a weapon of its class. With an appropriate scope, this range easily more than doubles! The Myrkr is also very rugged and reliable (its progenitor surviving the impact of a falling building!) as well as being easy to clean and maintain, making this weapon very user friendly. The weapon is upgradable and easily done with compatible parts, though a skilled gunsmith can truly "bling" out this rifle if they so desire.
The downsides? A five round clip, bolt action rate of fire, and that the user requires at least a basic know-how on how to fire a marksman's weapon.
