Karjr with a Blaster

“The stars remember those who moved among them like fire.”
Mythos Fleet motto
OVERVIEW
The Mythos Fleet is the roaming spear of the Iron Covenant - its recon arm, its sword in distant voids, and its enduring presence far from Kestri’s skies. Born from the battered hulls of the old Enclave’s fleet, the Mythos Fleet was reforged in the wake of the Third Vong War for Kestri - a new flotilla of purpose-built warships, hardier, faster, and forged in the shadow of survival.
Its warriors are not simply soldiers, they are torchbearers of legend, charged with carrying the Covenant’s story into the forgotten lanes of Wild Space and beyond. Every sortie, every raid, and every landing is a thread in a larger tale, one meant to echo long after the fire fades.
DOCTRINE
The Mythos Fleet embraces a doctrine of striking presence, roaming pressure, and symbolic warfare. It is not a fleet of conquest, but a fleet of legend. Every hull, every war chant broadcast across the void, every flare of jetpack and Basilisk howl serves a larger purpose - to remind the stars that the Mandalorian spirit of the Covenant is never extinguished, only rekindled.
Strategic Pillars:
- Presence as Pressure: Their arrival is mythic. Their absence is deliberate. They appear where others thought them long gone.
- Attack and Withdraw: Strike fast and hard, withdraw before entrapment, return twice as fierce when the moment demands.
- Safeguard the Spark: Every crew and every warrior is a vessel for myth. Their lives serve not just survival, but memory.
FLEET STRUCTURE AND DIVISIONS
I. Iron Howl Marines
“We breach with roar and fire.”
The Iron Howl Marines are elite boarding specialists and shipborne guardians, hardened by vacuum drills, hull breaches, and brutal corridor warfare. They protect the Mythos Fleet’s vessels from within and serve as shock troops for hostile ship takeovers or planetary strikes.
Identity:
- Mag-sealed beskar, cutting torches, and reinforced void-rated weaponry
- Trained in zero-light, low-oxygen combat
- First through a breached hull, last off a burning cruiser
II. Kyr’kara Blades
“Where others drift, we strike.”
Masters of open-space engagements, the Kyr’kara Blades operate beyond ships entirely - using maneuvering packs, grapple cannons, and EVA weaponry to fight in the open void.
Identity:
- Operate untethered for extended durations
- Specialists in disrupting enemy formations, planting void charges, or station assaults from blind angles
- Ghostlike presence between missile trails and debris
III. Starfang Wing
“When we descend, remember the old songs.”
The Starfang Wing is the aerial hammer of the Mythos Fleet, combining Basilisk War Droids with conventional starfighters.
Identity:
- Basilisk riders plunge into battle ahead of the fleet
- Fighter squadrons trained in hit-and-fade, wing-blind, and pulse-shadow formations
- Warpaint and comms often broadcast ancient chants mid-battle - a weapon of spirit as much as skill
IV. The Mythcarver Armada
“Each hull is a saga. Each cruiser, a blade.”
Though born from salvaged Enclave warships, the Covenant has forged new vessels to serve its roving doctrine.
Identity:
- Cruisers capable of lone patrols or coordinated wolfpack strikes
- Fitted for deep-space endurance, recon, and heavy shielding
- Largest warships carry mobile forges, Basilisk docks, and planetary drop hangars
- Formations are poetic - defensive arcs hiding sudden claws, slow advances masking sharp envelopments
CULTURE AND COMMAND
The Mythos Fleet’s warriors are volunteers, oath-takers, entire Clans and veterans - many from the Enclave or resistance movements, some having fought in the Vong War.
- Fleet oaths are sung, not sworn - each warrior speaks their personal myth before joining
- Every kill, rescue, or survival is recorded in the Sagas of the Wake, the Fleet’s living chronicle
- Ships bear both glyphs of victory and scars left unrepaired - marks of resilience and history
Fleet command is distributed among Battle-Chiefs and Alor-Captains, each overseeing a division or battlegroup. The Voidbrand within the Rekav’dral speaks for the Fleet to the Covenant, ensuring that its legends remain tied to the whole.
LEGACY
The Mythos Fleet is both sword and echo. It strikes at the edge of the Covenant’s reach, but it also preserves its truth — not conquest, but continuity. Every ship, every fighter, every boarding action is a statement:
“We do not vanish. We become myth.”
