SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • The Strength of Ten Men: As a powersuit, Mynock-class armor multiplies the strength of its wearer exponentially.
  • Back on Your Feet, Soldier!: The biorestorative underlay accelerates the armor's wearer's healing process and boosts their resiliency to damage, allowing them to get up and out of danger more easily.
WEAKNESSES
  • Mechu-Deru: As none of the components of the armor provide any protection from the Force, skilled users of Mechu-Deru can manipulate this armor as much as any other electronic or piece of machinery.
  • Ion: As a suit of powered armor, the effects of being hit by EMPs or Ion attacks are severe. If power is lost or disabled, it becomes incredibly difficult to move in the armor without the assistance of the armor's servos. In this case, an emergency release system is implemented to allow the wearer to safely exit the armor.
  • Concentrated Fire: The armor is durable, not infallible.
DESCRIPTION
Another model of powersuit developed by TarkinTech as part of the initiative to better equip Eriadu's armed forces in these tumultuous times, the Mynock-class Light Powersuit is designed for the Marine Raiders for EVA and boarding action. Much like the scout trooper armor and its successor the Clamberwolf, the main weakness of the original armor was the lack of coverage. This powersuit, however, offers full coverage of the wearer's extremities.

The armor takes many design cues from its predecessor, as well as the previous TarkinTech powersuits, forgoing the synthmesh for much more sturdy duraplast but keeping the blast-resistant kama. The leg armor contains gription boots, for attaching to the hulls of enemy ships during boarding, while a plasma torch in the left vambrace allows the Raiders to cut through bulkheads. Knuckle-plate vibroblades are standard on both hands to ensure the wearer always has a weapon on hand, while the advanced stabilizer gloves allow for sniper-like accuracy in an instant.

The helmet is jam-packed full of features. The MFTAS standard in stormtrooper armor is present, as well as Specialized internal sensors can detect the make, model, and relative accuracy of hundreds of thousands of weapon near instantaneously, and connected with the stabilizer gloves can give the wearer an accurate count of how many shots a weapon has remaining.

The armor is durable, but it is not infallible. Concentrated fire is capable of bringing it down, and none of the TarkinTech powersuits have any way to counter Mechu-Deru.

As with their predecessors, the Mynock shares much in common with the Jexxel Light Powersuit for cold weather operations, based off of the Imperial snowtrooper armor.
