DESCRIPTION
Mykes Taff had gone through the ice caves of Ilum, faced the challenges of the Force and completed his test. Next came his next challenge; the creation of a lightsaber. With crystal in hand, he set to work on designs. And after many possibilities, the Force user in training finally worked up a fitting design for him to use. One that could provide aid with the force, and keep him at an advantage by switching up combat on the fly.

So he designed The Emerald Nova. With a telescopic hilt it was capable of switching between a normal lightsaber and a short-hilt lightsaber pike. Fitted with a Dantari and a Meditation crystal to aid in his focus and fatigue, Mykes made sure the saber would be useful in situations when he was needed to switch up his style to confuse his foe.

Of course, there was a slight consequence to making it so light as the main hilt was not made of Songsteel as the telescopic part was. And the constant need to switch could easily put him off as well. The pike mode had need of both hands, leaving him vulnerable to Force attacks if he needed to defend.

Strengths:

• Cutting Edge: Can cut through materials with ease.
• Crystals: Dantari and Meditation crystals aid with focus and fatigue.
• Extension: Can extend to give a better reach and keep a distance to the enemy.
• Easy Access: Mykes had made a compartment in his prosthetic leg to store the saber when in need.

Weaknesses:

• Cortosis: Cortosis will short the blade if in contact.
• Weak Metal: Main hilt is weaker then the telescopic hilt.
• Two Handed: Extended mode requires use of both hands.
• Ysalmiri: When caught in a Force negation field, Mykes cannot use the crystals as needed.
