STRENGTHS
Alchemised Beskar: The alchemised Beskar is incredibly durable, capable of withstanding lightsaber strikes, blaster bolts and particle weapons.
Shatterpoint: Each knuckleduster has been imbued with a limited form of Shatterpoint, allowing the user to perceive fault lines in physical objects around them. Upon a successful impact to these fault lines, the force surges through the knuckledusters to increase the damage dealt by exploiting these weak points, which in turn can potentially cause the object to shatter.
WEAKNESSES
Alchemised: An overlooked flaw in their creation, the alchemical nature of these knuckledusters cause them to attract discharges of Force Lightning, essentially turning them into the equivalent of lightning rods. Unlike the Sith Sword they take design notes from, these do not have the luxury of a hilt to protect the user in such instances, resulting in a rather nasty shock.
Close & Personal: This is not a reach weapon. It requires the user to close the distance and fully embrace all the risks that entails. Just because you can punch a lightsaber, doesn’t mean you should.
Force Null: Areas of force nullification, such as those created by ysalamiri, reduce the knuckledusters to just that. Knuckledusters.
Force Light: While not strictly a darkside artifact, they can still be damaged by applications of Force Light much in the same way as all creations of Sith Alchemy.
DESCRIPTION
A long time aficionado of solving her problems with a closed fist, it was only a matter of time before Runi Verin fashioned a weapon to that effect. Small, discreet and easy to palm. A knuckleduster seemed the most logical choice, resonating with both her Mandalorian and Warden of the Sky sensibilities. An initial prototype was fashioned from simple beskar for durability and reassuring heft not long after that, with the Kiffar going so far as to add an mono-molecular edge for that extra mile. Still, while the end result was promising, it felt somewhat lacking.
Using information acquired from the Vitus’ Holocron and her former tutelage under Cerita Sarova, she turned to the alchemical arts for the next creation. Drawing on inspiration from the ancient and fabled Sith Swords to give it a little more clout. Another promising start, but only a stepping stone to the final design. For that Runi pushed the boundaries a little further, utilizing the full length and breadth of her mixed force background to grant the user a rudimentary form of Shatterpoint. Granting them the ability to see the ghostly, ethereal lines of fracture points in physical objects around them to better exploit them.
The final result was the Muun'bajir, named for the hard lessons that had gone into its creation and the even harder lessons it would have to dish out.
