- Burn Up and Go!: The Mustafarian Iron seems to radiate heat naturally, as if it's self sustaining. Anything made with this will naturally feel warm to the touch, regardless of how cold it is made. It seems to glow with heat, and can be used for various uses as a result.
- Dark Side Affinity: While not inherently coated with the Dark Side, Mustafar's long history of being home to Dark siders has long seeped into the nature resources. This allows the ore to be easily mixed with sith alchemical processes, and formed into armor and weapons. While the metal is of limited supply, it's make up allows for powerful items that can resist modern weaponry.
- Got some Firepower!: The iron forged deep within the lava pits of Mustafar seems to soak up heat like it's a sponge. This makes it incredibly resistant to energy based weapons, and lightsabers.
- The Dark Pushes Back: Due to the inherent dark side nature of Mustafar, the ore within it's lava seems to resist the light. Any attacks that hit this, while not inherently negated, seem to be lessened. This does not effect neutral force powers, nor dark side powers.
- Melt Down: The downside of the constant heat is that the ore is much more prone to thermal shock from quick temperature changes. Rather than shattering, the outer most layers crack, causing the iron to melt as the inner core is exposed to air.
- Working out the Kinks: The ore is known for it's ability to casually absorb heat. Is it any wonder that it is incredibly hard to work as a metal?
Deep within the lava pits of Mustafar, viens of a native iron sit within the heated surface. Mining it requires special, heat resistant equipment, finding an ore that seems to eat the heat, and radiate it with a warm glow. Working it is incredibly difficult, but the iron forged from it keeps all the properties of it's former ore. Resistant to energy weapons of all kinds, the iron allows alchemical users to use it for defense against the light.
