Intent: An uprated personal jetpack for @[member="Kix Tal'Verda"].
Development Thread: The future? Like... with jetpacks?
Manufacturer: MandalTech | Rena Kryze
Model: MT-IJ1 Ion Jet Pack
Affiliation: Kix Tal'Verda (Mandalorian)
Modularity: None
Production: Unique
Material: Duraplast, ion engine components
Description: The MT-IJ1 is a customised and upscaled, modified version originally based on MandalTech's MT-1 repulsor pack. However, it has a few major changes to the design so that it conformed to the needs of its user, Kix Tal'Verda.

First, instead of being a repulsorpack, it employs ion thrust technology - one solar panel sits on either side of the pack, to collect additional energy for the jetpack and allow it to operate longer in standard use - though, should they be damaged, the pack can switch to the reactor and run for a limited time, but reactor fuel is considerably harder to replace than normal fuel. Second, instead of durasteel, it is crafted of duraplast the same as Katarn-class armour, giving it considerable protection but also allowing it to integrate directly into Kix's armour. This is not a huge change in terms of weight or protection, though.

The MT-IJ1 has a maximum speed of 130 kilometres an hour (slower than, say, the Z-6 jetpack - and slower than most jetpacks in general), a maximum ceiling of one hundred metres but can operate in vacuum as need be. It has limited charge on the reactor, enough for one minute of continuous operation - however, two minutes of disuse recharges three seconds of operation time if the solar panels are operational. It is typically used in three second bursts, which synergises perfectly. It is also hardened against EMP and radiation to protect against harsher environs.
