To most bypassers the girl who were currently seated by a bench close to the local spaceport on Antecendant would seem very ordinary. Sitting there hunched over what appeared to be her dinner, a box of glass noodles, judging by the fancy cover it was from one of the many resturants in the area. But well, ordinary is never a good word to describe anyone really.

The young girl was the one known as Jennifer Phoenix, but she preferred to go by Jen and that was also the name she was known by within the crim syndicate The Red Ravens. It was with this very syndicate that she had planned on carrying out a plan of hers today: Steal a delivery of medium-grade speeder motors.

It should be relatively easy. This was because she was currently sitting high above Ground-Zero, just across from the spaceport where the shipment would arrive in. Ground-Zero was the only part of Antecendant known for crime, and even there it was said to be at one of the lowest in perhaps the entire galaxy. Well, since the Red Ravens arrived that was!

Nonetheless, here she was sitting, many stories above Ground-Zero, anxiously glancing up from her meal every now and then, her amber eyes covered by her large round sunglasses. It was growing cold up here...

The rest of those who had volunteered for this mission would be arriving soon, the meeting time and location had been send individually to every member who had showed interest.

Now she would just have to wait.

Sebastion was finishing up helping out with the repairs to the casino after the attack, he walked over to the bar and, after having some of a drink, looked at the clock. It was almost time for the meeting. He quickly finished off his drink, grabbed his coat and headed towards the meeting area. Sebastion looked around the area where they were to meet and he noticed his fellow Raven, Jen, the one who asked him for assistance with this. Sebastion casually walked towards her and sat on the bench beside her. "Hello Jen, lovely weather today isn't it." Sebastion let his mind wander as he waited for the rest of the Ravens to show up. Sebastion hadn't been given much detail on the mission, but he always was a fan of improvisation...

Jace was on his way to the spaceport to meet one of the other Ravens going by the name of Jen. She had came into the Casino earlier with a mission for anyone who wanted it. He didn't know much else about the girl, and didn't really care about the bikes. No, what he was here for was a reputation. He had just left the Dragon Palace Casino a few minutes ago, and decided to walk to the meeting place. He always liked the walk to the spaceport, the smell of outer rim cities was much more relieving than that of the core worlds, the oil of the speeders, the burning of spice, was all as familiar to him now as the trees on Corellia.

When he finally arrived at the space, he saw Jen and Sebastion sitting on a bench, Jen was eating some fancy noodles. "Darn," he chuckled, "Didn't know we we're having lunch first." then he took a seat beside Jen and Sebastion. "Hey Seb, you missing something?" Jace then tossed a bottle of Space Rum at Sebastion.

I was driving, listening to music, and generally immersing myself in my trip to meet the Red Ravens as a group for the first time. My speeder was, quite frankly, something that would make most pilots green with envy. Faster than anything I'd ever seen in an atmosphere, 360 panoramic cameras, and guns that had been the end of many an enemy pilot.

I pulled up to where I'd been invited to meet the rest, and was only mildly surprised to see Jen and a couple of guys eating on a bench. My stomach gurgled at the thought of food, and I grinned at them, leaning on the side of my speeder.

"So, was there a job, or am I here to eat lunch with you?"

As Sebastion arrived Jennifer turned her gaze towards him, seeming almost perplexed from behind the cover of her round sunglasses as he sat down, her eyes glancing over him for a short while before she let out a silent: "Ooh...!" Continuing in a hearable tune afterwards: "Ah, good to see you, Sebastian? Wasn't it? Or. No." He couldn't see her eyes moving behind the sunglasses of hers, but it was obvious, she had glanced down towards her heavy-duty datapad in her lap and read something, correcting herself because of it: "Sebastion. Yea? And yes, the weather is nice, I guess." She gave him a kind smile, hurrying up a little with her noodles. The others would arrive soon.

And surely enough it didn't take long for Jace to show up as well. Hearing his chuckle she looked up once more, suspecting it being him she was already smiling as she raised her gaze. The smile turning slight at his remark "Well.. When you're hungry you gotta eat." Jennifer pointed out, taking a last bite before folding the box together, tossing it into the nearest trash can.

As Jennifer slowly stood up from the bench she yawned, streatching her arms into the air before turning to face the two seated, tugging her hands into the pockets in the leather jacket she was wearing. Looking at them converse, she after a little while decided to speak herself: "So what are you two good at? And know if any of the others will show up?" A hand fumbled up from her pockets to remove her sunglasses, revealing her amber in color eyes and a tattoo around her right eye.

"We'll my handle is Bastion on missions, and I'm muscle for this operation." Sebastion answered her question and then sat quietly waiting for the others to arrive. Sebastion completely didn't notice the other two Ravens who had arrived as he didn't really recognize them and thought they were just passer bys. Sebastion eventually feel into a light sleep, napping on the bench.

I glanced over at the man who'd literally just fallen asleep in front of me, and then grinned at the other two. I knew Jen, but who was the other guy? I nodded at him, making a mental note to ask his name, and turned to Jen.

"Hey. I'm kind of here for some fun. I visited this wonderful casino that had a dragon painted on it, flew around all kinds of buildings, and just finished my little vacation up by watching a pretty girl eat noodles."

I shrugged, and leaned back on the speeder again.

"I can slice, I can fly, and I can shoot. Not much else."

Jace quickly scanned the tattoo around Jen's eye, but disregarded it before he seemed rude. "Well, there are several things I'm good at," he said with a wink, "But above all else, I'm one of our close quarters fighters," moving aside his robe slightly to reveal his twin sabers. "I'm here to handle the guards and cover our rear when we get away. Something a lightsaber is a great use for trust me" He looked down at Sebastion who was now sleeping on the bench and bent over to take the Space Rum back from him. He took a few swigs from the bottle and held it out towards the new guy. "Want some?" he asked.

I grinned at the cloaked guy. He seemed like somebody who was gonna be fun. I moved my coat to show the stylized hilt and guard of my lightsaber.

"Lightsabers are beautiful weapons. And as much as my speeder, here, Grim is my own work. Nice that you can use two. I've never been able to do that."

Listening to these little fleshlings talk was making the large figure near them a little antsy. Though he stood well over seven feet tall, it wasn't the hardest thing for the mercenary to stand out of sight and was, therefore, out of mind. If it was visible, the patrons of this little establishment would've spotted a wry grin of amusement at this little man near him tell of his profession in being "muscle." He had no idea was muscle was, hell, Xalus was just one big heap of it anyways.

He was hired help from the Red Ravens' PMC division. It paid well, he got new toys on a regular basis, and he actually worked alongside some people that were quite passionate about their work. The simple being couldn't ask for more. He didn't need any fancy-shmancy speeders, suits, housing. The only thing he needed was credits to acquire his tools and the constant drive that pushed him about his own seemingly unknown pursuits.

"Aren't you boys and girls talking a little too loud?"

His deep, gruff voice resounded from behind the four on the bench. "It's not wise to speak so loudly of your intentions," he cast a menacing gaze towards several people within earshot, "you never know who could be listening."

Jennifer hadn't even realized Jan had drove up to them at first, having her back turned to the road and facing the bench as she talked. Now however she saw him, seeing him at all here was unexpected, she perhaps did remember something about a new member maybe joining on the mission. Or perhaps not, nah.. It couldn't be. Anyway, he was here now nonetheless, still riding that wonderful speeder.

A pretty girl eating noodles, how sweet. She chuckled quietly, slowly going to sit down on the bench once more "Good to see you too, Jan." The group was already starting to gather attention from those passing them on the streets and now even more so with Jan's speeder blocking half of it. They should get moving soon before law enforcement arrived, it was different up here above Ground-Zero. But attention they did create, and now, very suddenly even more so. This was due to the arrival of Xalus, a giant Gen'Dai. Luckily Jen had registered him on the list, she wasn't sure how she would have reacted if she hadn't known he was a part of the Ravens.

Giving Xalus a curt and awkward nod before she turned slightly to listen to the others, not meaning to be rude of course, but it wasn't everyday you were confronted by huge armored things, he was muscle too and he would be important later on, that was sure. "So you are both those.. Lazer swords wielding things? I did not expect that." She mumbled, her eyes glancing over the weapons when they were shown: "Elegant things, must give you that."

I looked up at the gigantic man who'd just joined us. Kaleesh? Maybe, with that mask, but more likely a Gen'Dai or something, considering his height and general physique. I nodded at him, and grinned.

"Since our dozing friend is the muscle, I suppose you must be the brains or something. Of course, there's no way you're stronger than that skinny white-haired guy."

I looked back to Jen, and laughed.

"That's certainly a description I've never had attributed to me. Don't worry, I have something less obtrusive. Or maybe just as obtrusive, but less obviously identifying."

I pulled out a special blaster that I rather liked. It only had four barrels, which revolved, and it fired at the speed of an assault cannon. Sure, it didn't have the punch of one, but I was proud of that stroke of genius.

"Can't say I don't come prepared."

Chiasa had come to the spaceport early, and spent some time browsing the shops. Tacky tourist things for the most part, and if one were being honest she couldn't afford the few things worth buying anyway, but since heads tended to turn when she first arrived anywhere, she reckoned that it would be best if those in the general area got their eyeful in before the secret rendezvous. Well. Secret in public rendezvous. Whatever. It paid.

She was in a variation of her usual black and skintight, with the addition of a black canvas messenger bag, for those little necessities like makeup, a few credits, a can of wompa-mace, a breath mint, some zip ties.. You know, the things a girl didn't leave home without. It was basic, but effective, and had the added bonus of being able to get through security checkpoints.

It was about time for the scheduled meet, so she headed down the sidewalk. She had to smile slightly as she neared it. That was certainly an interesting gathering to be seen in this section. Wouldn't turn a head in some of the rougher sections of course, but it was still amusing. Particularly when one of them pulled out an oversized blaster.

"Keep it in your pants until it's time to use it. Didn't your mother even teach you that? It doesn't impress girls until it's in action."

[member="Jan VonFowl"] [member="Xalus"] @Jen @Jace Beleren [member="Sebastion Wulfsorrow"]

The big 'ol mercenary nearly had a start when this little weak thing before him pulled out a blaster. Yeah, that's right, a fething blaster. The little fella didn't even seem to note the fact that they were in public and that multitudes of people were walking past the mismatched grouping of individuals. Xalus had already warned them about letting others know of their intentions - especially in a place like this. It seemed as though he would have to help speed up the learning process.

"Drop the weapon." He nearly growled at this young man. "Put it away and keep it out of sight. It'd be a shame if we died before we even knew what we were exactly doing."

He had barely finished his second warning by the time a Twi'lek made her approach with similar, yet more crude, words of wisdom. The mercenary nodded in both greeting and respect as the woman came over, expecting her to be a part of the team by the way she carried herself.

So the Twi'lek had decided to show up after all, waltzing towards them with a bag in hand. Jennifer gave her a quick nod as a greeting when she approached the group, a smile curling her lips as the Twi'lek made the remark directed at Jan. Jennifer had to admit, that was funny. It would do good with some humor in this group and coming to think of it, this very spontanious plan of hers slowly started to fit together like a good old fashioned puzzle.

Jennifer peeked down towards her chrono to check the time, good, the delivery would be here soon and considering the attention the group continued to gather it was probably about time to get off the streets. Quickly looking over her shoulder to make sure no random bypasser was eavesdropping or even approaching them she started to talk once comfortable, whispering in a hushed tune, signing those who stood too far away from her to hear closer towards the bench. Even if this wasn't the perfect place to discuss it, it was needed to be said. She wasn't sure if everyone here was upcobled to the secure network they used on their coms.

"Alright, listen up guys. It's a white delivery speeder, one of them huge ones that will show up with the engines. According to the information I've gathered they are going to make the hand over of the goods to a transport ship inside the spaceport, I believe it's bay T-08.."

She wasn't really used to all of this giving orders stuff, and the anxiousness was starting to build up inside of her. Before continuing to talk she shuffled closer to the sleeping Sebastion, giving him a light tab on the shoulder, flashing him a quick smile incase he woke up all confused:

"So yea.. Jan would be great if we could use your speeder as transport for the goods. Quick in, quick out, that's what I'm hoping to see from you guys here. We need someone to distract the van drivers and spaceship haulers, that's the tough one. We also need someone to transfer the engines to Jans car and someone who make sure the security of the spaceport doesn't get close to us. Any volunteers?"

"I can take care of the security," Jace said with a grin, "It'll be fun. Plus I have lightsabers and know how to use them, so if they start shooting, there's no one better to cover your backs." He began to caress the hilts of his blades, eager to hear the familiar hum in the air. He said nice words to the party, but all he wanted was to fight, he cared little for the other roles, they wouldn't help him get stronger, no, only killing would do that. "I'll wait here for now. I'll head down after the guards have been distracted." He looked down on the spaceport, eyeing the dock. He eagerly waited for Jen's order to begin the operation, because to him, the battle was everything.

[member="Jen"] [member="Xalus"] [member="Chiasa Kritivaas"] [member="Jan VonFowl"] [member="Sebastion Wulfsorrow"]

Chiasa flashed a smile at the gent in the armour in response to his nod.

"Distract badly paid, likely male humanoids? I don't think it will be a problem."

It was possible she was over confident, but she generally did not volunteer for anything unless she thought she could pull it off. Besides, in all honesty this wasn't that big a heist, and she'd be game to try it with just big boy as backup. Surely as long as no one got too fancy they'd be fine. Right. What were the chances of that? People wanted to try their toys. Could get interesting.

Her part, assuming they let her take it on that was, ought to be easy in any case. Pilots came in two types. Cocky and fairly certain they were gods gift to women and cunning, and resentful folks who coulda been someone if they'd been given a chance and if folks could just see their real worth. Either kind was easy to play. The cocky ones expected female attention and lapped it up and the resentful ones were so surprised and gratified to find someone who really understood them and their worth.. This sort of con was the reason the Twi'Lek hadn't had a proper job in so long. It wasn't usually necessary. Too bad the easy marks were usually the ones with so few credits to their names, hence the need to find a semi-steady gig.

"Chiasa by the by, and yes, speed would be fantastic, if I get arrested or get grease handprints on myself I will be most vexed. It's a pain to get out. The grease that is."

Being arrested was just bothersome. There was nothing serious on her rap sheet. It might not even exist. A few tears, a few.. favours.. Such problems tended to disappear. You never knew when you might get a hard-nosed, honest cop though. They might exist. Somewhere.

She'd found another plus to this mission at least. Big Boy would be useful to know, and he seemed professional.

I nodded, and quickly put the gun back in my jacket. I was trying to make a first impression way too hard, I guess.

"Of course we can fit the goods in old Black. She's ready and raring to go."

I grinned easily at the red Twi'lek woman. Very pretty, but too old for me. And I didn't really like women who'd gut me if I teased them too much.

"Just don't get caught, Red. I'm fast, but I'm quite sure I can't shoot that well from a moving vehicle. Not well enough to not hit you, anyway."

I made one more check that all my gear was in place. The jammer in my speeder would pump really loud music into the targets' comms whenever they tried to turn 'em on. I grinned at Jen, and mimed blowing the smoke off the barrel of a gun.

"Just give the word, and those truckers won't hear anything but Led Sailbarge."

[member="Chiasa Kritivaas"] [member="Jace Beleren"] [member="Jen"] [member="Xalus"]

Then it was decided, Chiasa as she had referred herself to would take care of "distracting" the guards and Jace would hold their backs and Xalus would be Xalus and be the heavy gun incase things would hit the fan. Hopefully it wouldn't.

Assuming Sebastion had a comlink connected to the secure network he would be able to contact them when he woke up. After all Antecendant was a place where it was only normal to get exhausted, especially considering that most of them lived inside a huge casino where it was unlikely that the music inside of it ever stopped.

Perhaps Sebastion /had/ heard what she had said, nevertheless it seemed a lot of things were on Jennifers mind, and even more so as a faint rumbling was heard above them. The rumbling came from what looked like an ordinary freighter heading towards the general direction of Bay T-08, they still had quite some time, Jennifer hadn't noticed the transport speeder arrive and even it was already in there it would take some time for the guards to write contracts and transfer the motors.

Raising a hand to pat two out of the many bags, pouches and cases on her trousers she made sure she had her blaster and vibro knife on her. She preferred if she did not need to use them, especially the knife, but they were good at putting a scare in people, incase she needed it.

"Yea, lets move." Jennifer muttered, her eyes cautiously following the freighter as it slowly went to land inside the spaceport complex. "Chiasa, I suppose you will go first? Yea?"

I grinned broadly as the order to get moving came. I picked a track on my audio player, and sent it through on the jammer. All they could've been hearing now was Houses of the Mystics.

"Oh, I think they might be a little distracted, now. Good music tends to do that."

I cast a pseudo-innocent look around the group, then turned back to Jen.

"So, should I take off and try to get ahead of them, or just wait, and then come in on my own?"
