  • Smuggling compartments ship wide
  • Droid crew. This includes medical droids, security etc.
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • Stygium Stealth Systems
  • Molecular Shields
  • Smuggling Compartments Ship Wide
  • Multiple Exterior Weapon Placement Points
  • Sith Meditation Chambers
  • Ablative Armor
Strengths:
  • Stygium Stealth Systems
  • Molecular Shields
Weaknesses:
  • Though the Morrigan's Prudii'kad has Stygium stealth systems the crystals are from a captured vessel and as such not tuned or upgraded to fit a cruiser class vessel. As a result the power draw is significant and will force offensive weaponry offline to compensate for the power draw. Trying to force weaponry and stealth systems to work CAN WORK. HOWEVER will likely result in an explosion destroying both the stygium crystals and weaponry which was trying to be activated. Eliminating both stealth capabilities and some offensive weapons. This forces The Morrigan's Prudii'kad to function ONLY as a stealth vessel with the ability to launch reconnaissance operations from. Or visible cruiser with both offensive and defensive abilities. While stealthed the Morrigan's Prudii'kad can maintain defensive shields but cannot aid in any sort of fire support if she wishes to remain cloaked.
Description: Seeking to have a new start with the Agents of Chaos and prior to taking on an apprentice. Celiana commisioned a new vessel for herself.... The Morrigan's Prudii'kad, a cruiser class vessel with an adjustable array of weaponry, multiple types of shielding and all the comforts a cruiser class vessel can have. This new vessel contains multiple smuggling compartments shipwide along with Sith Meditation Chambers beneath Celiana's chambers and beneath the adjoining room belonging to her apprentice. A mix of modern weaponry and defenses along with a sleek look gives The Morrigan's Prudii'kad something to boast about. Dark and sleek just like her owner....

The crew is made up of a variety of droids. Varying from cooks and bridge crew all the way to the security droids. The Morrigan's Prudii'kad can be crewed by organics as well so should Celiana find suitable crew there could be interesting interactions between the organic and non-organic crew. Along with having a droid crew these droids are able to "creatively think" in response to stimuli. For example in battle a portion of droids would assume the responsibility of manning the guns. With the ability to "think creatively" The droids would take a variety of archived battle footage from both Celiana, and the galaxy as a whole .

This allows the droids to effectively offer fire support in a space battle versus a clone wars droid bumbling about without commanders. In a setting of peace the droids are programmed for diplomacy and a multitude of languages. The molecular shielding on The Morrigna's Prudii'kad has an intriguing feature to it. The ship can vanish into nebulae or space gases whereupon the molecular shields take radiation from those gases and convert it into energy for shields or other systems. Effectively giving The Morrigan's Prudii'kad the ability to use space to heal the ship.

This is quite a sub you've pulled together, I do love to see people making homes and ships for themselves. There are, however, several points that I want to bring to your attention before we can go ahead and approve this submission. To make it easier on you, I'm going to break this down into sections that you can move through more easily.

Template

First off, this submission doesn't conform to the Factory template for ships, in particular, you are missing the permissions field. I understand that you haven't used any chaos made technologies in the creation of this ship, but you still NEED to include a permissions field, even if you mark it as N/a. I have included a link to the template above, and will include it in a spoiler below.

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION[/FONT]
  • Intent: (Example: 'To create a medical ship to support the growing crisis in the Outer Rim.')
  • Image Source: (Please link to where you found the image, or to the original artist if possible. TinEye or Google Image Search can help.)
  • Canon Link: (Please link the canon link if applicable canon item.)
  • Permissions: (Please link any Marketplace purchase approvals or other permissions to use other Writers’ submissions as part of the submission)
  • Primary Source: (Please link and cite the sources which you are modifying for your use in your submission.)

For Affiliation limitations on who can field what, please see For more details see the Star Ship rules)
  • Model: (Example: TIE (Twin Ion Engine). For submissions where a model wouldn’t be appropriate, such as a custom walking stick, put ‘N/A’ for ‘Not Applicable’.)
  • Production: The scale is Unique (Only One Character), Semi-Unique (A single small unit, squad, or squadron), Limited (Only one small group of characters. IE: A Single Minor Faction, Company, or Group within a faction.), Minor (Large groups of characters. (IE: A Single Major Faction, a few companies, or groups.), Mass-Produced. (Anyone.) Characters refer to NPCs & PCs.)
  • Material: (What is it made out of? Certain materials are more resistant, or vulnerable to certain weapons. Example: 'Durasteel, blaster components.' If this submission uses materials not found on wookieepedia, please link. You may also be asked to link materials that are obscure or difficult to find, e.g. exist as a byline in wikia entry)

  • Maneuverability Rating: (Choose from: None, Very Low, Low, Average, High, Very High, Extreme. How agile is your ship? Can it take tight turns? This is relative to the size of the vessel (e.g. a Corvette with Low Maneuverability will be more agile than a Star Destroyer with a Low rating.
  • Speed Rating: (Choose from: None, Very Low, Low, Average, High, Very High, Extreme. How fast is your ship in normal space? How fast can it take off, how fast can it speed through a planet's atmosphere? This is relative to the size of the vessel (e.g. a Corvette with Low Speed will be quicker than a Star Destroyer with a Low Speed.)
  • Hyperdrive Class: (The lower the number, the faster the ship. You may use decimals. [Very Slow: 10 | Average: 2 | Very Fast: 0.5] Going below 1 typically requires balancing out with other weaknesses. Links: Hyperdrive, Hyperdrive Comparisons)
STANDARD FEATURES

DESCRIPTION
(Describe some of the history behind the submission. Please provide a detailed account or link of each special feature that is listed in this submission. Give us some idea of how it might perform its function, what it excels against and what some limitations of it are. This is where you talk about your idea, flesh it out over at least a good-sized paragraph, and address some of the ways it might be used or abused. All miscellaneous descriptive elements go here, such as Cargo Capacity, Passengers, Consumables, Crew, etc. For especially powerful or ambitious submissions, a very thorough description is recommended.)

1) Read Comics Online
I'm not comfortable with an image link being used to a website that contains illegal images, these comics are the property of their respective owners and the website has a lot of them available for free. I would suggest finding an alternative source for the pictures you wish to use from that website.
2) Bless Lights
I've looked through the images available in the link provided and I can't see the specific image that you use in your submission. Please replace it with an image from the link, or please provide a link to that image's specific source.

Canon vs Primary Source Linking

This might seem a small thing, but the canon field is meant to be used if you are subbing a canon item, such as the Ebon Hawk, or the lightsaber of Darth Revan. The technology used in a submission are generally placed in the primary sources field.

To quote the template:

  • Canon Link: (Please link the canon link if applicable canon item.)
    • Primary Source: (Please link and cite the sources which you are modifying for your use in your submission.)

Manufacturer/Affiliation

1) Link
The link to your manufacturer, I believe your character profile, is broken. Please provide a working link to the manufacturer.
2) Ship size
As per the Factory's production and fielding table, which I have included below, an individual can only produce and field combat ships that are 500m or less in size. As such, this ship can not be produced by or affiliated with your character in its current form.

b5d486b01536298a32474abb6d6a4c64.png

You do have a few options here, you could either reduce the ship's size down to 500m or less, or change the manufacturer and the affiliation of the ship.

Armament

Could you please clarify what exactly the difference between an ion cannon and a Dual Ion Cannon Battery is for me? As far as I can tell, the advantage of a battery is that it has an increased speed of fire compared to normal energy weapons, or to fire with increased power. Is this your intention with the Dual Ion Cannon Battery?

Defence

1) Rating
Looking over the defences that you've set up on this ship, it is not the equivalent of an average rating. An average rating is taken to be that of a basic ship of this size. You have added Molecular shields, rotating kinetic shields and ablative armour to the ship which make this ship a much tougher nut to crack than a normal ship. I'd recommend classifying this as at least a high level of defence though I would really see it as a very high level of defense.
2) Rotating Kinetic Shield
I've read what you wrote about this, but I don't really understand what the rotating kinetic shield is, could you please explain it to me a little more clearly?

Fighters

The current size of the ship is 600m, but you are using the fighter numbers for a 750m ship. 600m is closer to 500m than it is 750m, a difference of 100m vs 150m, so the submission would fall under the 500m rules. As such the rating should be high and not average. Please correct this.

Strengths

Much like the Molecular shields you have already included, the Ablative Armour and the Kinetic Shield should be mentioned as strengths here.

Weaknesses

Could you please clarify the language used when talking about the stygium shield system's weaknesses? As it currently stands it is more than a little confusing. You say:
Trying to force weaponry and stealth systems to work CAN WORK. HOWEVER will likely result in an explosion destroying both the stygium crystals and weaponry which was trying to be activated.
But then later you write that:
This forces The Morrigan's Prudii'kad to function ONLY as a stealth vessel with the ability to launch reconnaissance operations from. Or visible cruiser with both offensive and defensive abilities.
To me, the first quote seems to suggest that the choice of what happens to the ship is in the hands of you as the writer and owner, while the second quote seems to suggest that it can only function as one or the other and the use of weapons, while the ship is stealthed, will result in the destruction of both weapons and shield systems. As you can understand, any opponent of yours or other writer looking at this submission later might end up confused about what will happen when they face you.

Description

1) Droids
You mention that the ship has a variety of droids on board to serve as crew, from "cooks and bridge crew all the way to the security droids". While I might have taken this to mean that you are talking about standard droids, you then go on to specify that the droids have:
Along with having a droid crew these droids are able to "creatively think" in response to stimuli. For example in battle a portion of droids would assume the responsibility of manning the guns. With the ability to "think creatively" The droids would take a variety of archived battle footage from both Celiana, and the galaxy as a whole .
This allows the droids to effectively offer fire support in a space battle versus a clone wars droid bumbling about without commanders. In a setting of peace the droids are programmed for diplomacy and a multitude of languages.
This ability to think creatively, and to learn from battle footage as well as the ability to know a multitude of languages and to know diplomacy makes these droids anything but ordinary. Could you please point me to the specific droids you're thinking of using, either to canon links or to factory subs?
2) Molecular Shield
In the description, you describe the molecular shield as having the ability to
The molecular shielding on The Morrigna's Prudii'kad has an intriguing feature to it. The ship can vanish into nebulae or space gases whereupon the molecular shields take radiation from those gases and convert it into energy for shields or other systems.
As far as I'm aware, this is not normal for molecular shields, please could you refer me to a canon example if I'm wrong? That being the case, this ability really needs to be included in the strengths of the ship and expanded on. Is all radiation affected by this? Does this include light and infrared radiation? Is there a limit to the amount of energy it can absorb?

Balance

In its current form, the submission is not balanced, coming in at 4 points under balance.
The easiest way to understand balance is the summary included at the top of the ship templates page which I have included below.

Balance Guideline
Lengths are applied as per an Adjusted Anaxes War College System. For technical ratings, start with all values at Average for a Mass-Produced piece of technology. For every increase you should either:
  • Reduce the Production value.
  • Reduce another rating (e.g. increase Increase Speed while decreasing Defensive rating).
  • Provide balance with genuine and significant weaknesses.

Because the ship is a unique production you have 4 rating points to spread where you wish to, you do of course have the choice not to do anything and leave the submission as underpowered. However, if we take into account the changes I have requested in this submission, by increasing the hangar to high you use up one point, leaving you with three. Furthermore, increasing the defence to very high will use up two of your remaining points leaving you one point, which can be used to increase any rating you wish to.

I know that this is a lot to read through, but if you could read through it and then let me know what answers and decision you have so we can move forward.
