Morning Never Comes

[Kaidan Hawk]

It was dark and cold... Ruusan is a beautiful planet, but even beauty can be dangerous when your enemy is around...When the enemy is coming under the protection of the night, the battlefield can become a nightmare...
"Come in Commander. Are you on position?" Kaidan said in his communicator, he was in the forests of Ruusan, hidden with a lot of soldiers that also stood under the protection of night. It was the time to strike, intel reported dark side activity on the very planet the spectres decided to set up a base. And not simple dark siders, a cult it seemed, this was going to get bloody, Kaidan's men were cleverly concealed with the shadows and the only thing they waited was the Supreme Commander's signal.

The base was crawling with life, it's lights could be seen easily, the greatest mistake was to underestimate a spectre's tactics, if they were aware they were on the planet, then they should have been prepared by now.

He nodded, eyeing the amazing look of Russan. He felt his lightsabers at his belt, fingers touching the cold metal of each shaft. He was using blue for this mission, it would be brighter in the night. He listened in the comlinks, eyes still flashing around. He heard Kaidan speak, nodding again. He was sat up in a tree, hidden from sight and blending with the night. He was sure that Kaidan didn't know just how close he was to the base.

"She might not be buddy but I am" he chuckled into the comlink, laid back on his branch. He used the force to pull his pistol up to him, scouting the base down below. He saw two guards at the main gate, two shots and they'd both be dead. Yet, for some reason he wanted to test the Spectres, deciding instead to watch how well they did. He was the general, but the general wanted to test his troops, even the Commander and Overlord.

Jardo knew full well that he could never really be sure who he was working with, never really be sure if what they were saying was true. He needed to find that out manually, and watching how they moved in battle was one step closer to that. He nodded, another two guards in an upstairs window in the main base itself.

"This'll be fun"

She smiled, two were dead already....and she was in the base

Overlord this is supreme Commander I'm in the ravens nest over"she said as she kept sneaking around quietly idiots weren't even prepared for what was to come to them

The spectres were already tightening the grip men ready to strike hard and fast

Overlord I need a sit rep on the base outside

She said as she grabbed a guy and crushed his throat getting closer to the generator

Kaidan smirked "Glad to hear, General, I hope you're ready for what is coming." As his men were barely moving at all, he could only remain silent and hear Stardust's words through his communicator. "Two guards at the main gate, scouts report several patrols in the courtyard, I can see their defences from here and I can almost bet they got much more inside. Whenever the generator is down we can ravage this place." He said to her with a silent yet thick voice, he only had his purple lightsaber and imperial knight armor with him, he thought it would be enough.
Jardo and Stardust were both strong and Kaidan was counting on them and this because their strength was relied not only in the force, or their fighting style but mind aswell.
"Remember spectres, no life, no evidence."
As he said that, several troops were deployed on the hills nearby, everything seemed to go well until now. Their first mission as spectres.

Jardo nodded, kicking back in the tree. He watched as a guard walked under him, using a piece of wire to choke him out. The wire caught his neck, pulling him upwards and hanging him there and then. Jardo pulled the body up into the tree, using the wire to tie him to the branch. He nodded as he slid, using the branches to slow himself to avoid snapping his ankle on the landing. He gripped a low branch, nodding.

He dropped, rolling, kicking up from the floor and instantly darting behind cover. He eyed his comlink, pressing the button lightly. "Hit and run, why not" he spoke, a faint laugh echoing from his body. He watched as a guard walked past and he allowed his eyes to follow it. He moved, slowly up behind the guard, lightsaber from his belt. He decided against the blue blade, he didn't want this murder associated with the light. The crimson blade shot out, right in front of the males neck. Jardo grabbed him from behind, nodding.

"Twas a sad life" he whispered, blade moving towards him, removing the head from the guard instantly. Perhaps he hadn't lost all the Sith influence, perhaps those who started him could still feel the wrath of Snow. He shook his head, swapping out the red blade for the blue. He needed to stop the senseless murder, [member="Lady Kay"] would kill him for it. He chuckled lightly, using the force to lock a guard in one of the guard towers.

He continued behind enemy lines, using the force to trap enemies in rooms or under bridges. He grabbed his comlink again, smirking. "So, if we are the good guys what's with the senseless murder again?" he chuckled, using the force to throw a stone in the centre of a group of guards. All of them turned on him, each one drawing and firing a weapon. Jardo stood there, chuckling as his blue blade snapped from it's hilt, each bullet being eaten and deflected back into the guard that fired.

He heard an alarm from far off, sighing. He grabbed his comlink one last time. "So ugh... I may of alerted them ALL to me... yeah. Can we knock that shield out before I become banther fodder?"

Kaidan sighed then used his communicator "There is no senseless killing, these guys are not men, they are monsters, this is kind of faster than I expected them to notice something, no worries Jardo, I've thought about this already." Kaidan then continued to speak, this time with the troops on the hills specifically "Varic? Varic, do you copy? I need you to provide support for the general, the enemy will most probably go to him which makes this a perfect moment for my troops to strike." He then wanted to make sure everyone could remember "Remember the great number of dark jedi inside, spectres, good hunting!" And with that Kaidan's troops begun attacking the base from the main gate, the forests till offering them enough cover to not let the defences kill them all yet. The spectres were shooting from different direction to creating making many troops to come at the main gate and fight back, many of them getting killed, few spectres dying too. Kaidan was not the sort to hide, he went right in fron of his men deflecting enemy fire with his purple lightsaber, Jardo should be alright as long as Stardust will shut down the generator fast enough. If not he'd have to advance, meaning he would leave the protection offered by the forest and expose his men, which would make this kind of bad for many spectres.

"Copy that, Overlord, I've got his back." Alex said as he shoot one of the soldiers attacking [member="Jardo Snow"] In his head then another in his chest, the other snipers beside him also begun shooting at the same soldiers assaulting their general.
It was going to be a tough fight it seemed, but Alex was the right man to do sniping, he kept shooting at the enemy soldiers providing support for the general, he was sure his snipers and himself would be enough to slow these guys down for a while, but if [member="stardust"] wouldn't shut the generator down it might be a problem, even for an assassin like Alex. "Watch out, general, I see a dark jedi coming."

He chuckled, comlink in his hand. He heard the assassin speak, nodding. "You expected me not to notice? Line a shot up, lemme distract him" he told him, swinging his lightsaber. He watched as the Dark Jedi stopped in-front of him, both men locking contact. He watched as the red blade shot from the Dark Jedi's lightsaber. Jardo stood, taking up the Kryat's claw position as the Dark Jedi attacked. He was untrained, weak, swinging wildly in an attempt to hit something.

Jardo brought his blade up, blocking the first of the attacks from the Dark Jedi. He stepped back, lightsaber blocking another round of attacks from the Dark Jedi. Upon the Dark Jedi stopping to breath Jardo stepped forward, a full flurry of attacks that pushed the Dark Jedi backwards, the guards forming a circle around them now. He watched as a few shots from a guard bounced harmlessly off his lightsaber before kicking the Dark Jedi in the wrist, the dark lightsaber falling harmlessly out of his hand.

Jardo pushed the disarmed Dark Jedi to the floor, turning and blocking some shots from the guards. He grabbed his comlink in his left hand, growling. "Varic could do with some help down here. Get some shots sent down while I focus on not dying" he shouted, lightsaber still spinning, shots being deflected away from him.

"Any time now!"

[Alexander Varic]

Alex listened to his general and prepared himself, he immediately took the shot hitting the dark jedi that was on the ground deadly, he then turned his attention on the other soldiers "Hold on, general, morning does not come to these guys." Alex and the otehr snipers begun to shoot at the troops assaulting the general making them to take heavy fire, Alex himself got one of them in the back then another in the shoulder, once he fell down he got another hit in the head.
Alex's hands were moving fast now just as his eyes, yet his breathing was still steady trying not to miss, anything that implied missing was likely to have repercusions later on, or so he thoguht.
He killed another soldier hitting him in his heart by mistake then took down another one with a hit in the chest, turning fast to shoot one that was running to his general, Alex hit him in the leg failing to take a dedly shot then immediatel shoot at his head missing and finally killing him at the second shot. He had killed some of the soldiers already and with the otehr snipers help and General's power maybe they were gonna make it until the supreme-commander shuts down the generator. Anyway, this was going better than it would for an enemy that was discovered.

Jardo nodded, watching the guards fall around him. One singular guard came running towards him, a test for Jardo. He nodded, ducking under a shot and bringing his own lightsaber up, removing the hands of the guard instantly. He knelt next to the fallen guard, Sith Hidden Blade sliding out. It caught the man in the head, claiming it's first kill. Jardo nodded, pulling the blade free and wiping the blood off before letting it slide back into it's holster hidden on his wrist.

Jardo kept moving, feeling the presence of the snipers following him. "Varic, I need you to go cover that main building, get the guards on the front doors." he told the assassin, nodding. He felt a presence in the force, turning, blue blade sliding from it's hilt, catching a red. Dark Jedi, another one ready to fight. Jardo shook his head, using the force to push the Dark Jedi away from him. Another one untrained, another one weak.

Jardo felt his lightsaber connect with the red blade from the Dark Jedi and he pulled away, using force lightning to push the man away. Jardo stepped forward, lightsaber slicing the man in half lengthways. He shook his head, looking around. "Let's do this thing, let's do it quickly"

Kaidan continued with the defense, he parried the enemy attacks again and again, and again redirecting them and trying to kill as many as possible in order to avoid the death of his own men who were crawling among the forests which made it hard to get killed, yet few of them already became victims, they could not keep going like this, "Enough! Bring the heavy weaponsry, bring the enemy defences down!" he shouted as few of the spectres around the trees begun firing with rocket launchers destroying few of the enemy turrets, the continued firing one after another following the basic "Take cover, return fire" rule just like the rest of them. Meanwhile, Kaidan used his force lighning on two of the enemy soldiers then redirected the enemy fire few times hitting another sodlier then getting under the protection of a tree. The turrets and the soldiers were too much to handle for now, but they were going down one way or another and that was good enough for him, yet he didn't want to loose many of his own men, he was very protective of them, no matter how cruel he would seem to be against an enemy, he will always protect his allies.

Alex only replied before aiming "Aye, sir, got them on sight, taking the shot." He immediately hit one of them in the head then turning fast to the other shooting him in the stomach, one of the snipers killed another that was just coming out as Alex Killed the last one who was trying to run back to cover. "The path is clear, General, try to stick closer to the windows so I could offer support when you're inside, over." He said before turning his attention to the main gate, he motioned few snipers to attack the enemies from there and he decided to do the same until the general needs him, Alex shoot one of the soldiers outside the gates then begun shooting at those on the walls, if those could be called walls.

Jees you guys making a mess?"she said chuckling as the gig was up and she bursted from the shadows bolting for the generator

Any in her path began to fall down dead from either fire or her sabers

Soon she was on the generator and slid a detpack on it before bolting and detonating it causing the power to go out

Now the real fun began

Jardo moved forward, slipping through the doors into the main building. He held his comlink, nodding. "Keep me covered. Stardust, if you got a sec could probably use some behind cover" he said, darting down a corner to avoid a passing troop. He reached to his utility belt, unclipping the grenade there. He tossed it in the air, catching it. He reclipped it, continuing to move. He stepped onto a stairwell, instantly jumping the barrier and ducking to avoid detection.

He climbed back over the barrier, continuing up the stairs. It took it slow, darting onto floors every so often to avoid detection. It took time but he finally reached the top floor. He shook his head, following the window line, ducking into corridors every so often to avoid detection. He grabbed his comlink again, sighing. "Don't shoot them, wait for my call" he told Varic as he kept moving. He stepped through a door, main security control room.

Three guards instantly turned on him, no windows in sight. His lightsabers both jumped to his hands, blue one in shoto mode and the red blade in the right hand, fully stretched. Both lightsabers crossed to deflect a shot back at the guards, one falling. Another two shots, lightsabers blocking each shot. Two Dark Jedi stepped forward, both bringing their blades down in an untrained motion, each blade being caught by the two lightsabers Jardo held.

Jardo pushed both men back, a guard getting caught by one of the Dark Jedi lightsabers. One of the Dark Jedi moved forward, Jardo catching his shot with one of his lightsabers, using the other to slice the Dark Jedi in half. The other one stepped forward, the second Dark Jedi suffering the same fate. Jardo smiled, both lightsabers back on his belt. He grabbed his comlink a final time, plugging it into the computer.

Each member connected to the comlink would hear the exact layout of the base, including the location of all the untrained Dark Jedi and the master Dark Jedi in charge here. The main control room on the fifteen floor housed the Master Dark Jedi, fifty guards and the head of security. Each one was wearing a tracker that would update as they moved.

Jardo grabbed his comlink back, speaking.

"Got that?"

Kaidan remained behind the tree for a long time as his men kept shooting from cover, but suddenly... the defences were down! Stardust surely succeded in her task, it was the time to finally get this mission working the way it should have. "The power is down!" Kaidan said as he walked forward with few of his men following at keep shooting, he parries few times the enemy fire then suddenly stroke at the chest of one of the soldiers then cut the hand of another pushing him into other 2 with the force, 4 of the men alongside him died during this, but many other begun coming forward. "Onward, my warriors, Onward to victory!" He yelled as the soldiers in the forest suddennly begun running to the enemy pushing them back in a wall of blaster fire. Kaidan moved forward through the main gates followed by many others, he got hit a few times by the enemy blasters yet only 2 bullets reached his flesh and caused him pain, he cut through the enemy soldiers like an angry sith although he was nothing of sorts.

At that point something happened, he heard Jardo's voice and a strange sound, once he checked he finally understood, it was exactly what they needed at the perfect time. "Well Done, general, there is no escape from our grasp now." With that said, the Overlord noticed the closest dark jedi, it was right in front of him coming fast with his lightsaber ignited followed by other 2, now this was going to be interesting. Kaidan stroke the first dark jedi, their lightsabers clashing in the air, as they begun a savage battle, other two joining him. They were better than some simple force user, yet not trained enough to defeat him.

Their lightsabers clashed a few more times while Kaidan was being pushed back, suddenly when the dark jedi attempted to cut off his head, he got down rolling right between them stabing one of them in the back. As the other tried to strike at his chest, the Overlord managed to parry his attack yet got hit by the other having a nice scratch on his leg. He then launched several attacks moving from one to another parrying and avoiding hits as much as possible until he pushed one of them aside and caught the hand of the other, he could not move it which meant he could not move his lightsaber. A move he used before, simple but efficient, he used this moment to stab the enemy and then let him fall on the ground.

In the same moment, the remaining dark jedi attacked him from the back as he barely managed to avoid being hit, he stepped back slowly parying his attacks until he got his lightsaber back and did what was the less expected from a man who would be considered sane.
He punched the enemy lightsaber hard, this would be the worst idea someone could have, if that one would not have gloves made of cortosis like Kaidan. The enemy lightsaber was useless from the moment it made contact with his fist, moment when the overlord begun holding the lightsaber with it's blade backwards and hit the enemy's chest. The dark jedi fell on his knees and the with the face on the ground. He only raised his head and was enough to see his man already advancing.

"As you wish, General." He said watching down as the Overlord's troops begun to enter in the base and push back the enemy. Ales then turned his attention on the building, his General was in, while the other snipers are providing fire support for the infantry, Alex would be waiting for the General's orders.
When he received the dates and the location of each dark jedi, he noticed something out of place, using the sniper's scope he could see the place where the enemy ships were, some soldiers seem to be rpeparing them, they were planning to leave, it was clear they could not win. "Uh.. We've got a situation here, I think the enemy is attempting an escape." Alex then got up putting the rifle at his back and moving towards the hangar's location through the forest taking few of the snipers with him 14 still being on the hill providing support.
"Don't worry, I've got this. Rorik, explosives, now!" With that said, the spectre planted the explosives on the wall being detonated and shattering the wall. Alex took his 2 DC-17 handblasters and got through the ruined wall rolling on the ground and taking cover behind some crates, he then begun shooting at the enemy soldiers preparing the ships, one of them got killed already while the rest took cover and drawed their weapons as the 5 snipers ran inside hiding beside what they could.

Jardo listened to Varic as he reported the leavers. He double checked the security information, nodding. Everything checked out, they were leaving. All but one of them. "Varic it's a trap! There's no-one important on those ships, you're wasting your time. The only people on there are the chief of security, a few guards and a Dark Jedi" he muttered into the comlink, grabbing his lightsabers. He nodded again, breaking into a sprint.

"Just take them out, I'm going for the control room!" he shouted into the comlink, jumping down the gap between the stairs. He timed it perfectly, sliding in on the correct floor, rolling. He continued sprinting, diving through a door. It was quiet, the main control room was quiet. Quiet but a slight ticking, a slight ticking coming from behind.

"I run into the trap, not you Varic. Take as many of the ships as you can, I'll handle any straddlers. I found a few bombs I can use to my advantage" he told the comlink as he used the force to disable the bombs. He watched as they all shut down, using the force to pull them all towards him. He grabbed a crate from behind, loading the bombs into it. Then he sprint towards the landing bay, the nearest open window.

Alex barely listened to the general as he shoot 2 more guards with his blasters and the snipers got 4 more from the cover. "Huh?" He got confused for a few moments and all he did was tor eturn fire, not hurting or killing anyone, until he finally heard Jardo again "now this is getting confusing, I don't know what are you trying to do, general, but I can only hope you didn't got into too much trouble. I'll tae these guys down, there shouldn't be many." Alex watched as 2 of his snipers got killed by the enemy then suddenly got out of cover and shoot a few time hitting a soldier in stomach then inn the shoulder, after that he rolled forward hiding after other crates, these one seemed to be different though... But only then he noticed "My God!" He begun running as fast as he could as one of the enemy soldiers shot the crate where he was hiding, Alex was pushed to the right flying by the explosion. He was getting up fast although he could barely understand what just happened and what is still happening.

Rising his head he could see how the remaining troops are taken down by the 3 snipers he had, it looked like the explosion didn't confuse only him but the enemy aswell, though it wasn't over, the chief of security came out of the nearest ship shooting a few times before getting into cover, Alex was the unfortunate victim getting his in his left shoulder, yet he wasted no more time, he got up and jumped right behind what seemed to be opened crates filled with ammunition. The chief shot two of the snipers with his blaster rifle as a dark jedi appeared from the same ship. Alex suddenly got up and begun shooting wildly at the enemy trying to get their attention and it worked it seemed as the cheif begun shooting back at him, yet the last sniper dies as he shot at the dark jedi who simply redirected the enemy fire.

Alex was now alone, but that was not something strange to him,once again he got out of covered and fired few times both at the dark jedi who parried every attack and at the chief who got his in his left arm, th dark jedi used the force to throw one of the crates at him, this time Alex managed to jump over it and roll kicking the ground to get up then killing the chieff with multiple shoots, one second late and it probably would have been different.

After that the Dark jedi attemtped to use force lighning on him, he put passion and rage in his attack yet, nothing happened. Alex remained untouched as the dark jedi attemtped a force push and once more, nothing happened.
"I got sick of you, pal, let's get this over with." He said preparing himself for battle, he had burns on his face, nothing that couldnt be cured and his armor was now kind of black on the left side but he was still on his feet which was good and no Dark Jedi was going to change that, not now.

Kaidan stopped suddenly looking how his men were pusing the enemy back advancing mroe and mroe to the main building where most of the enemy troops were trategically retreating, there was something wrong... he could feel a dark energy, something cold again... he could not understand, do these cultists have something to do with what happened on their first base? "Varic! Come in Varic! If that is not a trap do NOT let anyone leave! Do you hear me? Do NOT let anyone leave! Protect that place at all costs!" He said then tried to talk to Jardo. "Jardo, do you feel that thing too?" He asked still wondering if his general is alright, what trap was he talking about? Whatw as going on? Too many things without an explanatio, it made him nervous. The Overlord then begun running to the front line trying to lead his men to victory.

Stardust now was fighting on the inside, surrounded but definitely not out maneuvered

She had both sabers up using her right arm gun and her pistol to keep shooting as she his behind cover "uhhh guys not to be rude bit I could use some help

She said as she grabbed a guy charging and slammed him down into the ground"
