The Morkai II-class Star Destroyer was an improved variant of the Morkai-class Star Destroyer. Designed by Iron Wrath Industries, and produced by the Iron Empire; it was a warship conceived for planetary defense, planetary assault, troop transport, and ship-to-ship combat. It saw use as part of the Iron Imperial Navy, serving the role of an Artillery Star Destroyer. It was visually distinctive from its predecessor, due to its dark-grey hull.
The Morkai II's martial capabilities were identical to that of the Morkai. It featured a myriad of weaponry for mid-to-long range combat, this included: 10 Heavy Long Range Turbolaser Battery, 20 Long Range Turbolaser Battery, 15 Long Range Ion Battery, 5 Hyper Velocity Gun (50), and 30 General Purpose Warhead Tubes. In addition, the ship was protected by a single Deflector Shield. Like other Iron Imperial vessels, the Deflector shield was housed within the Morkai II itself.
Where the Morkai II differed however, was in its speed. With the installation of significantly more-powerful engines, the vessel was able to reach speeds far exceeding that of its predecessor. Surpassed only by the Grimnar-line, it was one of the fastest Star Destroyers in the Iron Imperial Navy.
