PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

As someone who made a living scavenging supplies and exploring ship wrecks, Morgan had developed the slim and toned build of an endurance runner. His fair skin is pockmarked with scars and his hands are calloused from dealing with heavy machinery and hand-to-hand combat training. He has wavy brown hair that he chose to keep short paired with dark brown eyes. Despite his rough exterior Morgan still looks young enough that people would often mistake him for a teenager and they would do a double-take when he tells them that he is of age. Morgan wears close-fitting long-sleeved shirts and baggy cargo pants to take advantage of the pocket real estate, and he would have a black vest with even more pockets. To complete the ensemble is a utility belt for his gun and tools and a pair of black combat boots.

INVENTORY

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS

Morgan is someone who doesn't really care about what others think of him. This happens when you're born into the spacer life and don't stay in one place for too long. You're usually there picking up supplies or meeting with clients who wanted a job done. Now, this doesn't mean that Morgan is opposed to making friends with anyone and he'll even work with others if the job he took required it. His issue is that he's afraid of losing people if he starts to care and keeps himself focused on whatever the job is to distract from that unpleasant feeling. The friends he does make would find that he's a compassionate individual who would go out of his way to help those who needed it even if there was no money in the equation. He can be incredibly protective over them and if push comes to shove, he will do all he can to get his friends out of danger no matter what. Even if it doesn't seem like it at first, Morgan does like high stakes sports like podracing and swoop racing and if he had the chance, he would get behind the wheel no contest.

STRENGTHS

Engineering Savant - Growing up Morgan had been surrounded by technology. He looked at it and it clicked like that, allowing him to see where the pieces of the mechanical puzzle went. This natural talent of his allowed him to take apart everything from droids to starships with ease and put things back together. He could see the issues and fix them before they become a problem.

Top Gun - While this could be attributed to his Force Sensitivity, Morgan is an excellent pilot on his own merit with a near instinctual grasp of fighter mechanics. He can preform all sorts of tricks and tactical maneuvers, and his apparent extrasensory abilities allow him to detect danger and avoid attacks. The young pilot is more than capable of holding his own in a dogfight.

Brawler - Morgan has received training in various forms of combat, but hand-to-hand combat is where he excelled the most. His fighting style relies less on brute-force telegraphed haymakers and other punches, but more on redirecting an opponent's attack by using their own body weight and momentum against them. He also uses his legs to great effect, utilizing roundhouse kicks among others.

WEAKNESSES

Marksman - He isn't a terrible marksman by any means, but it isn't his strong suit. If he's forced to fight he'd prefer to use his fists and hands, or if he needs to a blaster pistol or kinetic handgun for close quarters battle. Otherwise, don't expect him to get behind a sniper rifle and make thousand-yard shots in difficult weather like the pros do.

Why Did I Do This? - Morgan is one of the more reckless denizens of the galaxy. He makes snap decisions in the heat of the moment and jumps into risky tasks with little thought. Despite feeling like he had to do it, sometimes this bites him in the ass and certain situations make him regret ever speaking up like he did.

Force Inept - Despite having a strong connection to the Force, Morgan doesn't have the kind of training kids would get when they are picked up by the Jedi or Sith. This means that while he has extrasensory abilities in the form of a danger sense and advanced reflexes, he is completely inept in all other forms of Force abilities.

HISTORY

Morgan never had a normal childhood. He was born on Dantooine and raised on a starship, a light freighter known as the Radiant Phoenix that was captained by Arthur Arcturus. The man was a skilled pilot and an infamous smuggler with connections to criminal organizations all over the galaxy. He never knew his mother, although he did hear stories about how his father had managed to get with a dangerous femme fatal type from other spacers that knew of his exploits. This line of conversation always ended up getting shut down before any names could be spilled, and his father would never tell him what really happened.

Despite this, he cared for his old man a great deal. The young spacer's education primarily consisted of starship mechanics. Since he lived on a ship it had to be taken care of since it kept getting put through harrowing situations. His father even taught him how to fight since he wanted to take Morgan on one of his jobs to show him how things worked. This was to make sure he could defend himself just in case things went poorly. And poorly they went indeed. His father was doing a job for a group simply known as the Legion, a spice and weapons trafficking organization connected to a Hutt crime family.

The man had to dump his cargo of illegal disruptor weapons that were being shipped to them as he couldn't outrun a patrol from the Galactic Alliance. While they were able to get away after pretending they were perfectly legal couriers, they still lost the cargo and had to go to the Legion empty-handed. When they reported back to the leader, the man killed Morgan's father in front of him and was about to kill him as well. This triggered something within him, causing him to unleash a shockwave of energy that knocked everyone off their feet. He dragged his father's body back onto the ship and fled as quickly as possible.

Once he got far enough away, he landed on a safe planet and buried his father after mourning. He then took off and just wandered with no idea where to go. Morgan was only 16 when it happened. The spacer eventually pushed on and continued his life, using his skills in starship mechanics to make money by visiting ship graveyards and scavenging what he could. He'd fix it whenever he was able and sold them to interested buyers on the black market. He'd also do courier jobs and avoided the Legion like the plague, and he spent his money on ship upkeep. Now he's 21, and he's just a simple man trying to make a living in the wretched hive of scum and villainy.
