- Astronomical Location Name: Moon 731.
- Classification: Moon.
- Location: lego, one of the planet's 1,000 moons.
- Rotational Period: 24 hours.
- Orbital Period: 365 days.
- Size: Medium, Moon 731 is a relatively large astronomical object and moon, though not nearly as large as the planet that it orbits.
- Affiliation:
- Moon 731 was formerly owned by a mining company who had sought to exploit the moon's various resources and materials, hoping to make a large amount of credits in the process. However, when said resources failed to materialize, the moon was swiftly abandoned, and the Imperial Remnant decided to offer it back up for sale. Umber and his Aurodium Sword organization became the new owners of the moon after the Imperial Remnant sold the rights to them to use and develop the moon as they saw fit.
- Population: Insignificant, Moon 731 would be essentially uninhabited if not for those brought onto moon by Umber and Aurodium Sword for training exercises.
- Demographics: Those who reside on Moon 731 are primarily soldiers and droids affiliated with Umber and Aurodium Sword. Depending on the training needs of his organization, Moon 731's demographic makeup can vary wildly, and their generally is no single majority of sentient beings or droids on the moon at any given time.
- Accessibility: Because the planet lego is rather isolated and out of the way, accessing Moon 731 can be quite challenging. Furthermore, as a part of the thousand moons orbiting the planet, actually finding the moon within the plethora of celestial bodies around lego can be quite difficult. Any restrictions on visiting the moon itself are subject to Umber himself, though Imperial authorities have permission to visit the moon completely unannounced should they wish to do so.
- Description: Covered in rugged mountains, Moon 731 was once under the control of a mining company who had sought to exploit the moon's untapped resources and materials. Initial scans had indicated that Moon 731 was quite mineral heavy, and the mining company who had bought the rights to use the moon quickly set up operations all across it. However, it quickly became apparent the the sensor scans of Moon 731 were either incorrect or grossly exaggerated, possibly from the result of sabotage at the hands of a rival company. Nearly bankrupt for their endeavor, the mining company that had previously purchased Moon 731 sold it back to the Imperial Remnant and abandoned their operations. Moon 731 would remain unoccupied for some time until Umber expressed interest in turning the moon into a training location for his private military company Aurodium Sword.
- Most of Moon 731 is covered in mountains, making traversal across the moon itself quite difficult. The high altitude of Moon 731's landscape causes it to have an atmosphere that fluctuates between Type I and Type II depending on one's geographical location within the moon itself. That being said, it is believed that the thinner atmosphere on the higher parts of Moon 731 is an excellent way to "toughen up" anyone looking to train for military exercises, one of the reasons that Umber was attracted to the moon in the first place.
- Throughout Moon 731, various abandoned mines and towns can be found, a result of the previous owner's hasty retreat from their mining operations across the moon. Sitting unused and empty, they provide Umber with excellent locations to conduct training exercises and wargames, especially those involving close quarters combat and urban warfare. They also minimize the risk of any collateral damage since they are not being used by civilians, ensuring that Umber and his men can practice their craft to the fullest without having to worry about catching anyone in their crossfire.
- Moon 731 tends to be on the colder side, and rain is relatively prevalent. Certain areas can become flooded during periods of heavy rainfall, and sudden flash floods are known to occur unexpectedly and sometimes without any warning.
When the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant completed its conquest of the lego system, it suddenly found itself in possession of over a thousand different moons, all of which orbited the rogue planet lego and were just as mysterious and diverse as lego itself. Though the Imperial Remnant found immediate use for a small number of these moons, most were judged to be too insignificant to warrant any serious attempts to develop. Instead, the Imperial Remnant decided to offer the galactic community the ability to purchase individuals moons to do with as they might see fit.
Once owned by a promising mining company, Moon 731 quickly became a massive disappointment for them as the apparently abundant resources reported to be buried underneath the moon failed to materialize for them. The sensor scans carried out across the moon had turned out to be wrong, possibly as the result of sabotage by a rival company or gross incompetence on the part of those who carried out the actual scans. Regardless of the reason, Moon 731 quickly became a credit pit, and the mining company sold it back to the Imperial Remnant in a desperate bid to rid themselves of something costing them so much time and so many credits.
Now full of abandoned mines, towns, and other equipment, Moon 731 sat unused for months until the Imperial Remnant was approached by Umber of Aurodium Sword, who was looking for a location that he could use to train his forces. Already having the infrastructure needed to simulate training exercises thanks to its abandoned settlements and a difficult to breathe in atmosphere that would improve the physical conditioning of anyone breathing it, Moon 731 became an obvious choice, and the Imperial Remnant agreed to sell him the moon in exchange for Umber offering his services to them.
