SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Shield Array: The armor features a shield array integrated into the armor, with the power supply located in the mantle, and emitters located in the shoulder plates.
  • Songsteel Cuffs: Songsteel around the sleeve cuffs help prevent loss of limb against a lightsaber. The arms, however, are left bare resulting in defense only around the wrist.
Strengths:
  • High Kinetic: The integrated Personal Particle Shield Generator results in above-average kinetic defense. based on the Mandalorian Melee shields from the days of the Old Republic, it can only take so many blows before the shield is depleted, and the resistance is lost.
  • High Lightsaber: Thanks to the Force Imbuement, the cloth is able to withstand lightsaber strikes to an extent. While not completely impervious, glancing blows will do little to bypass defenses.
  • Dark Side Force: Voph channeled the Light side of the Force into the Imbuement process as a counter to Sith Sorceries and other inherently dark abilities, allowing near, if not, complete immunity to them
Weaknesses:
  • Ion/EMP: The shield is vulnerable to Ion and EMP weaponry.
  • Light Imbued: As it is imbued with an aura to suppress Dark Side Force, any DSF force abilities used by the wearer will be greatly reduced.
  • Shields Up: The Shield only has a limited power supply, and thus cannot be active 24/7. Must be manually activated for Combat.
DESCRIPTION
Voph designed the Monarch armor based entirely off a short conversation he had with Lady Kay a couple weeks after his awakening. Combining form and function, he intended the armor to be both practical for Kay's every-day wear, as well as offering suitable defense should she be attacked or otherwise put in harm's way. Voph designed the armor to primarily offer defense in the way of the Particle Shield Generator, and the Force Imbued silk for all non-kinetic weaponry.

The PSG was designed to fit within the Songsteel decorations on the chest and shoulders, allowing for a seamless and comfortable integration, if at a reduced effectiveness. The Silk was meditated upon by Voph for several days in the depths of space near Ilum. While Voph was never particularly inclined to the Light, he used the time to purge himself of the Dark, and reflect on his past life. Voph did not deliver this gift in person, instead sending it with a servant, along with a note. The note offered instructions for care and maintenance, a list of abilities and limitations (What to expect from the armor), and a small personal message in which Voph stresses that the Armor is intended as a Life Day gift, and is only fitting as Kay is instrumental to the new beginning of his own life.
