- Rocket Booster: The MON01 features Ionic Twin-Scramjets that can boost the bike to near-starfighter speeds at the cost of heavily reduced maneuverability. Boosting should be performed in open spaces where minimal steering is required and only for brief periods.
- Climber: The heavy-duty gription panels along the Monowheel allow the craft to climb most near-vertical surfaces, provided that the majority of panels retain integrity.
- Armored: Despite it's open design, the MON01 features an armored design to minimize wear and tear both on and off the battlefield during long journeys across rough terrain.
- Audible: The roaring Scramjet boosters and clattering Monowheel have left the MON01 best suited to long range reconnaissance, coming with no stealth features. While it's Un-boosted decibel levels offer minor flexibility, The rider is advised to use it's ionic boosters only when intercepting or fleeing.
- Exposed: Having no formal cockpit to speak of, The MON01 suffers the same drawback as the average speeder bike: The rider is completely exposed on the sides.
- Rocketeer: The Scramjet booster can be taxing on the otherwise maneuverable craft, overpowering the repulsorlift steering assistance in such a way that steering becomes highly limited, essentially cutting it in half.
The MON01 Personal Reconnaissance Transport was created as a rugged alternative to the common swoop bike. It was easily produced from materials that could be found in scrapyards or salvaged from Starship wreckage, but made for efficient and quick transport on most worlds of the Outer Rim Territories.
Due to it's wheeled design and Solar-powered electric engine, these craft had a reduced audible detection range compared to the howling screech of the modern speeder bike, though it's clattering armored wheel made it very distinct once within audible range. It also featured a backup Ion-engine powered Scramjet system, allowing it to rapidly cover great distances at the cost of greatly increased audible range during boosted traversal, making it a rather versatile transport for the Open Market, though it lacked any formal armaments or shielding.
Despite being considerably old fashioned, The vehicle made up for it's shortcomings in it's affordability, reliability, and it's light weight relative to it's size- being only slightly heavier than competing speeder bikes with only half the versatility of the MON01- and the extreme speeds it could achieve if only given to a rider with the courage to utilize it.
