Description:
Simple and Effective describes this weapon. By removing secondary focusing lenses the length, weight, and unwieldiness of the weapon was greatly reduced, at the cost of a third of its range. Given an ergonomic grip and a durasteel stock, brought the weight of the weapon to the rear of gun, made it more comfortable to carry and wield. A second power cell feed was placed in the weapon, effectively doubling its capacity, but increasing its weight beyond that of even an unmodified T-21. The ability to connect to a continuous power generator required the removal of one of these power cells, but the difference in weight is negligible due to the adapter needed to connect it to the power feeds. Furthermore the weapon was constructed from Duranium rather than durasteel and plastoid, making it more reliable and more durable, surviving being run over by small wheeled vehicles.
Its rate of fire was altered so that the weapon operated as a semi-automatic blaster, rather than the automatic fire of its previous incarnation. The targeting sensor could be synchronized to a person’s HUD systems giving them crosshairs on their viewscreen where the gun was pointed, allowing it to be fired from the hip more accurately at close range, but is ineffective at long range sense the sensor only extends fifty meters.
